This is the worst Taco Bell location I have ever had the displeasure of purchasing "food" from for several reasons...
Firstly, they do not mind selling you food that they know has been "waiting in the window" for too long. At least, in my case, that's what Taco Bell Restaurant Manager, Maria, informed me when I came back to the restaurant for an explanation and a refund for the food I received through the drive-thru window. I purchased a simple number 8 (three crunchy beef tacos and a drink) along with a bean burrito with no red sauce, extra onions... nothing difficult at all. Unfortunately, I received two tacos that were so old that the grease from the beef mixture had completely soaked through - it wasn't a taco at all... it was two soggy corn shells mashing something that looked like meat mixture, lettuce and hard, stringy cheese together... the third taco I received wasn't even wrapped properly - the taco "filling" was in the bottom of the bag. The bean burrito I ordered looked like a kid playing cook-in-the-dark prepared it... it looked re-wrapped and old... and, it was. I would bet more of my money and say the cook re-opened an already prepared bean burrito and threw some additional onions on it and re-wrapped it in the same wrapper. Grossly disappointing, to say the least.
Secondly, the place was disgusting on the inside... I wish I could share the pics I took while I was in the restaurant speaking to Maria... the "kitchen" was deplorable and the eating area looked and smelled like old mop water. And, no one - including Maria the Manager - wore name tags. I guess I wouldn't want people to know who I was either, if I peddled food that didn't resemble food.
But, I digress.
Lastly, the customer care was nil to none. Maria acted as though everything was okay with my order... she tried explaining by stating, "You have to understand, the meat makes the shells like that." When I asked how long does it usually take before the shell becomes inedible after filling the taco - Maria responded, "When did you order this?" To which I responded, "In the drive thru line, just a few moments ago... are you telling me this is still normal?" Maria acquiesced and told me no, that the food I received is not the way it is normally meant to be served. After going back and forth over the price of the meal I purchased (the drive thru person did not give me a receipt nor did the person tape it on the bag, as I was told is normally done), Maria finally gave me a refund for food no one would voluntarily pay for and eat... and, she refunded me reluctantly as though I was at fault.
Simply. Dreadful. Experience. At this particular Taco Bell. I find it shameful that a person cannot get what they pay for regarding quality food and service. The only reason I'm rating this particular "eating establishment" one star is because I can't give it NO STARS - which they rightly deserve after I wasted my hard-earned money and my time on their inedible ?food?!
And, btw... the phone number to this restaurant doesn't work - so, you actually have to go inside the restaurant to make a compliant if you're not pleased with the "crunchy tacos" that are advertised to be fresh and crunchy. Hopefully, your experience at this particular Taco Bell is better than mine was... I promise this establishment won't see my money or me again...
