I used to think this place was great. I no longer do. I ordered a couple Subs online a couple of weeks ago and went in to pick them up at the appropriate time. I had ordered two subs. A tuna sub and a meatball sub. The tuna sub was not made to the specifications that I asked and the wrong items were put on it. The meatball sub was cold and the cheese was not even melted even though it only been ready a few minutes from the pickup time. To top it all off the woman working there had not even bothered to cut the sandwiches in half as they were footlongs. And to add insult to entry I actually tipped online and this was the kind of service I got. I will never go back there and stick with the local places near me like Thundercloud or Little Deli. I tried to contact Subway through their website to tell them what happened but they make it impossible to do so. It's funny their website is called Subway listens when if you want to contact them about it you have had to saved the receipt. Hi. First, I would like to say that the manager was so patient and efficient. My daughter and I went in today and while the sandwich was fine; the manager was incredible. I did not get the managers name but good lord have mercy he has the patience of a saint! He was attempting to train someone and had lots of orders to fill. I am not 100% sure if the trainee was on drugs or something else but it was evident that she needs a different job. The manager was beyond kind to all of the customers and the trainee. Fool me once shame on them. Fool me twice and I'm never coming back to the hell hole again. Nancy acts like a terrible manager. I don't know if she is or not. She would rather defend her racist employees and cancel an innocent customers order than actually hold her employee accountable. I placed an online order for pickup. I walked in the door and sat down right as a nice middle eastern woman was saying hello to the employee behind the counter. He refused to acknowledge her. She said hi again and he still wouldn't respond. He bluntly asked her what she wanted and sighed loudly as she told him. He refused to add more tomatoes to her sandwich then mocked her for not knowing how many tomato slices are on a standard footlong sandwich. She was obviously offended and I was too at this point. When he ran out of salt in the shaker he just told her he was out. He never volunteered to go find more. This is when I stood up for her. I asked him to go get more because she won't be the last one who wants salt. He looked me straight in the eye and asked me if I wanted my order cancelled. I said no, of course, but that I wanted him to treat her nicer. That's when Nancy chimed in telling me to mind my own business. When the kind lady was on her way out the door I told her that the other location on Crawford always had great customer service. Nancy hated this when she heard it and again threatened to cancel my order. I told her I would rather give my tip to the kind women at the Crawford location than the racist bigots who work at the 7711 Burnett. Arrived after 7 pm when the restaurant was fairly empty. It allowed me to receive great attention from the two employees behind the counter. I ordered off the menu (turkey & pepperoni), confusing one employee. The other informed both of us this is the Italian turkey from the secret menu. Go figure. Only problem with arriving so late in the evening was that the lettuce wasn't all fresh (some was turning red on the edges). Also, some of the tomatoes weren't ripe--they were still green (so tomato choice was slim). All that said, my sandwich still tasted good and the overall experience was positive. read more

I get the same sandwich at least once a week sometimes more. I order online, I have never had any issues thus far. Today I got a sandwich for myself and a sandwich for my boyfriend and some cookies for him as well. In my sandwich I ordered spinach as I always do. I took a bite of my sandwich and an overwhelming taste of bitter, expired spinach filled my mouth. It was nasty! The spinach smells so bad and it's wilted. The spinach is so past due that when I picked it out of my sandwich my fingers smelled like the bitter stinky spinach. It was nasty. One of the best Subways I have been to in the State. The staff was friendly, they made eye contact when talking with me and smiled. The bread and veggies were fresh - sub made to order and tasted great. Staff was on top of their game - the person in front of me had a 3 sub order but she had to ask all the questions via text and wait for an answer before moving forward - cheese, toast or not, which veggies - I kid you not. While she was waiting for an answer during a prolonged wait, the clerk got my order going - as he was putting my order in the oven to toast it, Ashley (the manager) aware of the holdup came down the line to make sure they had got my order started. They never talked ugly about the problem customer, only focused on serving each customer with excellence . The only problem with this location is the parking. I went to pick up my party sub and was told they had given it to someone else, who had brought it back when it wasn't what he ordered and realized after the fact that he picked it up from the wrong location. One of the most pleasant Subways that I have been to. The staff is friendly and they are even open until midnight, 7 days a week! I also like that they have the soup half off after 9pm. I'm not sure if that is this location only but I have been definitely been taking advantage of the broccoli and cheddar soup. The location is right near my house, which is another bonus. It is usually never all that busy either, but this is usually because I go at night but also because it is tucked away a bit when you are driving south on Burnet. It's subway. I have avoided this chain since I moved to Austin. I mean, there are so many awesome places to get a sub - why even bother? However, the other day I started craving a meatball sandwich, and I knew I could get a good one that wasn't 5000 calories here. The fiance picked it up and brought it home (so I can't speak for the staff or location) and we sat around the kitchen table mowing down on that familiar taste of yummy. I'm pretty sure I can find a better sub next time I'm craving such a thing, but the truth is it's an adequate sammich and usually my fallback meal while on road trips. However - with a schlotzky's, a jimmy johns, a thundercloud, a firehouse, a jason's deli, and probably 10 more sammich shops close, I doubt it will become a regular stop on the lunch rotation. read more

Ok. So. I made a Yelp just to write this review! There is gentleman there that wears glasses and works from 3-closing and is just awesome!!! Long long day at work and this guy made it all worth it. Not only did my boyfriend and I have a great chat with him but he also put up with all my pickiness, and perfected the sandwich with his suggestions. I gave this guy a $5 tip and wished I had more to give him. It's very rare to get awesome customer service that makes you want to come back. And this guy nailed it! Very nice Subway franchise. Clean, and always pleasant staff. Open till midnight apparently too. My only complaint is they do not offer Swiss cheese as some locations do. Please change this! I was in there a few months ago and this old lady was going on and on about the menu or advertising or staff being "deceiving". I didn't know what the hell she was talking about. She hadn't even ordered yet. Then she ordered with language like "give me" and lacking "please". And complaining that "is that bread hard? I don't want the old bread.
