Chicken wrap on top and a Number 10 on the bottom.

I have been to both the Blair and Willamette locations and the food is outstanding. Fresh and flavorful. I only prefer the Blair location for dine in since you can take your food next door and have a nice adult beverage outside in a quaint courtyard. This place is on my regular list for dine out locations. It sounds funky if you have never been there but well worth a try at least once. This is not your typical sushi place so expect to be pleasantly surprised. Remember the burritos are not in tortillas, but seaweed wraps just like a "roll" you would get in typical sushi place. They have chicken as well so non sushi folks would enjoy as well.

Snickerdoodle and Ichigo mochi

Favorite sushi burrito place. Good food and service. This location shares space so I like to get a drink in the bar and have the sushi burrito over there too. Sometimes we get them to go as well. I like the bacon the best but if we get more than one and split them I like the others too. Recently tried their mochi as well and they were solid. I got a pretty regular one but also tried a snickerdoodle too.

So this little hole in the wall place has some amazing food. You can get it to go, sit inside (limited seating) or take it next door to the Crow and Cart bar. Tacovore is across the street too so everyone can find something they want. The musubi was amazeballs. The burrito was tightly wrapped and delish with just the right amount of sushi. Staff was friendly and helpful and service was fast. The fried mushrooms were crispy and not too greasy and had garlic mayo dipping sauce (my fave). Would put this on the do not miss list!

So delicious! Great flavors and not very heavy. It would be nice if they had more seating.

I stopped by at 4pm to pick up an order to go on my way to work. The dining room was empty and I was greeted promptly. I ordered my favorite, the classic #2, with spicy mayo for my choice of sauce. You get to choose and they have several choices like spicy mayo and sweet wasabi, including classic soy sauce. I was happy to see their expanded selection of beverages in their beverage cooler including classic Japanese beverages like Ramune and Calpico. They also have bubble tea and melon tea, as well as coconut water. There is something for everyone. My order was prepared quickly and I was on my way. Everything was prepared as ordered and was very fresh and tasty.

The wait was a bit longer than usual yesterday but I tried something new and it was SO good. The veggies are so fresh and tasty. Highly recommend the mushroom appetizer! The variety of sauces is my favorite part.

Classic #6 burrito

I have had these folks bookmarked for a while as I love to try something a little different - plus seafood. The ingredients tasted good quality although I felt as though the burrito was wrapped for design and not necessarily balanced with ingredients (I had a lot of rice/vegetable bites). Protein was pretty light in my opinion and I was full from rice and not satisfied with protein. I would still come back but I think I would order a side or ask for extra meat the next time I order so that I don't feel hungry 2 hours later.

If you want late night food that is satisfying & served with good vibes - this is the spot ! We were pleasantly surprised - this place is so much more then just sushi burritos ! We tried the bowls !!! & they got veggie options ! Try it out !!

Bitch excuse me? Is this food for ants? A tablespoon worth of poke ain't it.
Josie N.

I am gonna keep it a buck with you it's not worth the price point. I got a salmon burrito in a bowl and... I kid you not I got like a tablespoon worth of salmon poke. Like huh????? The cut up cucumbers were soggy, mostly paying for veggies if I'm being honest.

Magic cap

They have moved from their food truck into a brick and mortar location. The space is small and intimate and the food is still very delicious. Now that they have a full fledge kitchen they've expanded their menu which includes adding an additional vegetarian burrito option. I would always get the hipster with no cucumbers, but seeing the newly added magic cap I had to give that a go ... with no cucumbers. (cucumbers are terrible, sorry but not sorry). The flavor was spot on. A little crunch from the crispy mushrooms, the freshness from the greens, and the heat from the roasted carrots. Their food truck was one of my reliable go-tos for when I need something fast, filling, and vegetarian and I am happy to report that they still are.

The onigiri was good, and this was an online order, so nothing about service or ambiance. I just wish that onigiri was sold in stores around here. Good food!

We'll come back to the carrot cake in a minute. We were in for a culinary delight and hopefully so will you. We ordered an antipasto appetizer that had a variety of tasty morsels with a loving presentation-heart carafes held both olives, mozzarella spheres. Next served was a warm artisan loaf that was accompanied by a garlic, olive oil, and roasted red pepper infused dipping sauce. Yum! We shared a goat cheese, ginger coated spinach beet salad, both healthy and delicious. Our entrees were timed perfectly as our server took such excellent care of us, paired with the charming ambience and local art-our date night was transported beyond the confines of a Dari mart parking lot. The scallops were plated similar to a five star restaurant and with the flavors to match. The namesake dish had a unique mild, spicy Italian sauce twist that had us wishing for another loaf to sop it up; a spoon sufficed. Back to the carrot cake-made in house by the owner-a double decker delight with a macron frosting-best carrot cake I've ever had and let me remind you how we chose this restaurant. I've been around the block with multiple carrot cakes. To add to our seemingly never ending meal, we would have preferred they lock us in and eat for a living there, we ordered the dark chocolate mousse. Our camera did not stand a chance in capturing the dessert in all its splendor...we included a photo of the empty results. Finally, for the excellent service, amazing food, warm ambience and creative cooking...we thought when the bill came that we'd be living on spaghetti a sauce for the next month. However, we stared dumbfounded at the bill-surely the sever forgot to input something...she did apologize that she forgot to add the two $10 desserts. I've included a picture of the bill, Nowadays, that total gets me some drinks and a couple appetizers. I will be driving the nearly three hours to dine again, even if I forced to get takeout. This place is special! And would worthy of your special events too. Mangia! Oh...one more thing, the amazingly fragrant aroma of yumminess as I opened the door to enter and as I sat down at our table was pleasantly unforgettable. I hope to see you there! Enjoy.

It was a full house by the end but there were only a couple tables ahead of us. The waitress checked in on us very rarely, but it was a full house and she was the lone waitress. Not sure if she was good and busy or inexperienced and not so busy. I got the cioppino expecting a seafood soup. They brought me stuff as if it were a crab boil. And there was crab. It reminds me of those places where they put sliders on bloody marries. It's a lot. I leave it to you if that's a good or bad thing. But if you get it prepare to eat with your hands.

Also inside can get tight, they do have a nice sized outdoor shaded area. This isn't the place to bring a group. Inside is tight-there are two small low tables close by together and a narrow bar at one end with maybe 5 stools. There is an outdoor seating area but it was full today. Menu is fairly small. They have fish & chips, fish sandwiches, fish/shrimp salads and 3 types of grilled fish with rice. There are a few sides. There are also daily specials. We had a salmon sandwich with a side of fries and grilled yellowtail with rice which was the special for the day. The salmon sandwich (ordered no sauce or shredded cabbage) was good but nothing special. I'm sure the cabbage and tartar sauce would have given it a bit of zip. The fries were ok. The yellowtail didn't have much flavor until you out what tasted like a light teriyaki. It had brown rice which was nice & chewy and the sauce gave it flavor. You really have to cook fish with flavors like garlic, lemon or something to give it flavor. Service was really good. They were very willing to put things on the side or remove them. I don't think I'd go back. If it's nothing special, I'm not going to pay for a meal out.

The environment is lively, mostly because Taro is personable and we were able to see him create beautiful sushi dishes live while hearing him engage with the customers seated around him. It was actually really fun listening to his stories, and seeing how he is passionate about the food he makes. He was excited about the uni and was talking about how the fish he orders is from Spain and how he really wanted to order another great cut of fish. The food was delicious, even down to the house sodas they have. We ordered the summer margarita with fresh berries, lime soda, cold beet appetizer, veggie donburi, chef's choice spicy trio hand rolls, chocolate mochi blackberry cake - and at the end Taro gave us 2 nigiri on the house. The house lime soda - usually soda is nothing to blink an eye at, but the lime flavor was fresh and just the right amount of sweetness. We were surprised by how good it was. The summer margarita was a delight, the alcohol and fresh summer flavors balanced perfectly so that neither overpowered the other. The beet appetizer was fun to try. Beets can sometimes be too earthy/muddy in flavor, but the nutty dressing paired with the salty, crunchy puffed chip paired well with the soft bites of beet. The veggie donburi bowl was much bigger than expected, and everything on it was good. The tempura tofu was well executed - silken tofu encased in a thin/crispy layer that tasted light and not greasy. The overall flavor of the bowl is akin to teriyaki, but less sweet and more of a deep umami and more smoky flavor. The handrolls had a good amount of fish to rice/topping ratio. The wasabi actually has some real wasabi in it, and the pickled ginger and soy sauce made every bite flavorful. Very filling. The fish were all fresh and tasted great. My partner who almost never eats meat couldn't resist and ate a piece of nigiri and loved it. The mochi chocolate cake was very unique and definitely worth trying. I find most chocolate cake too sweet with a generic cocoa powder flavor and too heavy. The texture of the cake is not too dense, but has a nice mochi bite to it while tasting a deep cacao flavor without it feeling too heavy. The sweet/richness is just right paired with bites of fresh blackberries. Honestly, may be the best dessert I've eaten so far this year. The interior is well decorated and pays homage to Akira the anime. The hostess who greeted us seemed stressed and it definitely showed on her face the whole night. But, our server was kind and attentive. Despite the handrolls taking ~20 mins to show up, the food was delicious and worth the wait. There is so much more to try on the menu. The place was packed, but thankfully we were seated quite quickly with a 5-10 minute wait. The interior is cozy and welcoming. It's dimly lit with mood lighting on the tables. It felt lively since the tables were packed. We started by ordering the sake and shoyu flights and some fries with wasabi mayo while we explored the rest of their menu. We received the flights quickly. Both flights had 3 flavors and were tasty and fun to try. Each flight comes with a menu describing the flavor profile and how the drinks were made. The flavors of each flight were distinct and matched their descriptions. The fries with wasabi mayo were pretty basic fries. They were well seasoned, had a nice crunch, and the mayo had a subtle wasabi flavor without it being spicy. For our next round we ordered the salmon misoyaki, butternut squash, tofu kushiyaki, and steak kushiyaki. Unfortunately, our server forgot to bring our butternut squash, but we ended up being full with the rest of the food we ordered and just took it off our order. The salmon misoyaki was delicious - perfectly cooked, tender, and well seasoned. The mustard greens on the side added a nice sourness. The tofu kushiyaki was tender and flavorful. The steak kushiyaki was well-seasoned, but more well done than I preferred and a little tough. Next, we ordered the spinach goma ae and umeboshi unigiri. The spinach goma ae was such a pleasant surprise! It's a chilled spinach dish with a tamari/black sesame sauce that was refreshing mid-meal. Really good umami flavor! The umeboshi onigiri had the expected sharp salty/sour flavor that balanced well with the ratio of rice. Ended up dipping the umeboshi onigiri in the goma ae sauce to get every last drop. For dessert we ordered the basque cheesecake and créme brûlée. The cheesecake was just okay. The menu said there was sake and black sesame flavors, but apart from some black sesame dust on the plate we couldn't taste the sake/sesame. The texture was thick and not super smooth. It was a pretty heavy dessert and not very sweet. The créme brûlée was yummy. The custard was smooth and the crunchy caramelized sugar on top was a nice contrast in texture and flavor. The service itself was slow. We were waiting around 15 minutes between orders. Given, it was a busy night. However, we felt a bit forgotten as our server did forget to bring one of our dishes, we had to ask for our dessert menus twice, and we were accidentally served two basque cheesecakes instead of our order of cheesecake and créme brûlée. The staff were friendly, and quickly brought out the correct desserts at the end. I'd recommend ordering more dishes at once so you can enjoy more food in between orders. Would definitely come back again to try the rest of their menu. We wanted to try the Japanese sweet potato but they had sold out that night. The oysters, sashimi, and udon also looked quite good!
