In that time, they demoed the substandard work and replaced it with a stunningly beautiful tile install, then acrylic lace, then pebble. (The only thing that was salvageable from the previous pool company was the chip out and waterline tile.) That's 21 days from quote through pool startup. Amazing! Wonderful communication throughout (thank you Debbie). What they said would happen, schedule-wise, happened - every time. The price was fair, the work was excellent, and their project management was top notch. In this day of broken promises and substandard work, KV Pools is a shining star. Overall picture of pool and the brick on the hot tub overflow…read more  The main point is the overflow from the hot tub. I selected the brick as I thought it would look good. After install there were supposed to be some stainless steel inserts on the sides of the overflow to keep the water directed into the pool and not running off to the sides. They didn't install and "J" said later if I wanted them they would put them on. The water did run off to the sides and I chose to leave it as at that time the chlorinated brick was not noticeable   The problem, which would have been nice as a warning as this was my first pool, was the bleaching and color distortion on the brick. The brick keeps on shaving/chipping off into the pool which is a pain. And if you see the closeup pictures you can see how bad the bleaching is.  I want to have the brick pulled off and replace with tile. Called and told "B" the issue and left a message for Kevin at Caribbean pools on February 24, 2026 to see if they could do it at a discount and I pay for some of it. No call back even to discuss.  You would think with all their "extensive" pool experience, they would have warned me about the brick looking bad after a couple years, I would have gone with tile, which is easier to clean and it would not be falling into the pool constantly. Even during the construction, it took him forever to get crews out here and I had to call quite a few times and then when the company came over to get the pool turned on, it wouldn't work.  Turns out the electrician, that Caribbean used, didn't even hook up the wiring to the controls.  So luckily, there was a person that didn't have anything going on that Saturday and he came out.  And he had to put three wires in about ten feet long each, or so, they get to pool started. Pool was finally operational on April 6, 2021. I had to constantly call and harp on them, to get crews out here and do the work, and then they couldn't even get it started.The brick looks like garbage now so I wouldn't recommend them if they can't even give me straight forward advice or even call me to talk to me about this, give me a little discount or something. It wouldn't go down and didn't do the job a pop-up does. The process goes very quickly. The pool is beautiful, turned out great, except the pool aerator was put up to close to the edge of the pool so it is crooked and askew and looks bad, very noticeable. Of course, they didn't have the attachment in when they had me sign off that everything was great. Still waiting to see what can be done to make it look better. Hopefully something! We did sign off on this ahead of time just want you to be prepared if you have anything in your current yard. So, you will have your funds. One warning when they have you sign off on them destroying your current yard meaning anything on the way to where you want your pool such as lighting, irrigation whatever is there believe them. They will destroy even where you don't think they will. Have your money ready for those to be repaired or redone.

I don't use words like spectacular, incredible, amazing, and awesome lightly. The process of building a pool is groundbreaking, in the literal sense. The timeline for this process took roughly 3 months from the dig to jumping into the water for a swim. Allow me to remind you that the process is never going to be perfect for such a large project. There are many stages to this massive commitment, such as designing, mapping, digging, plumbing, electrical lines, concrete, travertine, city permits, dealing with HOAs (and the list goes on). None of this is going to go without delays, corrections, ordering additional parts, weather issues, etc. That said, the experience with Dolphin Pools was nearly flawless every step of the way. My wife and I did our research, and based on Google/Yelp reviews, we decided to contact Dolphin Pools. From what I understand, there are a number of designers, but we had the great fortune of having Drew Siler assist us with designing our dream pool. From the moment we met Drew, we were instantly impressed and quickly moved forward with the project. Not only is Drew kind, honest, and thoughtful, but very professional. We had a plan, and Drew walked us through every detail with 3D pool design renderings. He listened to our wants, but always kept us grounded with what was possible within our property and budget. Drew made himself available at all times to answer our questions and continued to do so through the entire process. He told us it was possible to have the pool completed by my wife's birthday in September if everything went smoothly, and we made it. He is truly a man of his word and we couldn't thank him enough. I spent about 20 minutes on the phone with him and he was very nice and commented several times about how unprofessional it was of the other company and said they don't treat people that way. He asked me to text him our address and email and he'd send us info on his company, and we made an appointment for him and some of his crew to come by that Monday. I never got an email but ok. I also never heard from him Monday so I text him and he replied right away. Monday his team showed up, and between us speaking with them in our living room, our back yard, and they had us follow them over to another property to see the in-process work of one of their jobs. All told we spent about 2 hours with them, and they said they'd have plans to us between 7-10 days. Several times throughout the meeting they kept talking themselves up about how committed they are to delivering on time, how they won't treat us they way the other guy did, yada yada yada. 10 days came and went, nothing. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and said maybe they meant business days. 3 weeks...nothing. 4 weeks...nothing. Finally on the 31st calendar day I texted him saying it had been a month since our meeting. No reply, no call back, just an utter waste of time, and even more so than the first company.
