This shop is the only place I would ever take a Subaru in Arizona. Sergei knows more about Subi's than anyone at a dealership. I've taken the car to him twice, not only is he fairly priced but he uses the best parts. Having an enthusiast as your mechanic is the only way to go. Once I had an issue with my idle not resetting after changing the battery. I called Sergei and he walked me through what to do, explained what was happening and offered to stay on the phone. Never in my life have I had service like that. Sadly I'm moving to Denver, I would consider driving the car back to have him service it. read more

I was having a CVT overheat issue on my 2013 Outback and had the Subiworx team install a transmission cooler. They were fast, thorough and very reasonably priced. I expected to need a fluid flush too (at an added cost), but they told me that the fluid had looked good and the additional work and cost weren't needed. What a pleasant surprise! Subiworx is the go to place to get your subaru treated the best! I have both a 2002 wrx and a 2005 forester XT.. These guys have done everything from simple oil changes, headlight polishing and figuring out what that odd rattle sound is coming from the dash, all the way to rebuilding motors that have blown, fixing my chewed up gears, upgrading suspension to coilovers and giving me knowledge all the way through each process. If I could give them 100 stars I definitely would. If you care about your Subaru and want to get great prices, and gain knowledge these guys are top notch. Definitley the place to go to. I could not imagine why anyone would give anything but a 5 star rating for them. There have been times where I have had emergency car trouble and they stayed open a little later just to help me out. Sadly I can't give them negative stars. 2010 Sub WRX went there the first time in Jan 2018 after 2 months of diagnosing they said it needed new cams and heads approved the repairs, told it would be done in about 3 weeks. never once did we get a call with any kinda status. After calling a few times and finally getting a call back we were told it was ready., went down to pick it up and the engine was not even in the car. They were confused apparently. Finally the car was finished in May of 2018, yes five months later and $2700 later. Continued to have a few problems with the car. Now Oct. 2018 car is back there back to diagnosing, never heard from them so after many calls we find out that it needs a new block which it needed all along didn't get that news till December 2018 yes 2 months. In Jan 2019 they were going to get working on it and it would be ready in 3 weeks. Of course no calls from them at all, we call at the 3 week mark leave a few messages finally get a call back on Feb 4th 2019 were told they needed to call the engine builder, we get a call back same day and were told the engine builder would deliver the new engine by "no later than next Tuesday the 12th. Which I remind you we are far past the 3 weeks and were never told anything about any engine builder. Now we are at Fed 12 2019 guess what they don't have the engine and guess what? We were never contact with that info. I asked them on Feb 4th to confirm a few things and never got a response. We were told the car would be done about 3 days after engine got there on the 12th.. Now we are at Tuesday the 19th still no call from them with an update. So we called again no answer so we text them did not get a response Wednesday the 20th call no answer so we text finally a response and we were told they received the block last Friday 3 days after the 3rd time they were suppose to get it originally. they said its in the process of being reassembled. We asked when will it be done and no response, call them and were told early next week and the price will be around $2200. Which is Bull crap. The car has been there for a total of 10 month in the past 13 months and guess who is paying the car insurance? Not them.... We will be filing a small claims suit against them. I have a call log of all the times we called them for updates and all text messages to and from them. I DO NOT recommend them at all period..... read more

Took in my WRX for replacement of my transmission. The repair took a couple of days, which was expected. There were some expected setbacks but Subiworx would not let my WRX leave unless I was completely happy. I just got back from my honeymoon and we did a lot of spirited driving in Sedona, Jerome, Prescott and a quick stop to Bloody Basin Road to drive off road. We took our daughter's 02 outback with 132k miles in to have them do the timing belt and water pump. Asked them to please go thru the car with a fine tooth comb since she would be taking it out of state for school. They found a few repairs that were needed, just wear and tear on the car. But they have fixed everything on her car and it's ready to go to Colorado. I have a peace of mind knowing subiworx did the work on her car. Great shop for all things Subaru. Honest guys working here that really know their stuff and have attention to detail. Every time I need something I call ahead to schedule something because there usually is a bit of a wait to get in for any major service.. but it is very much worth waiting for. They are busy because they are the best in town at what they do. I've taken two cars here over the past year or so and have every time had an easy time setting the appointment and service done the same day as quoted. I've had them do on different occasions the following services: timing service, axle replacement, lower control arm bushings, clutch replacement, valve cover gaskets, power steering pump repair, etc. Each time they clean up the area they worked on after and everything is done correctly the first time. I had failed the emissions test, and found SUBIWORX in a Google search, I am darn sure I did. It was a gas fume trouble that was well hidden, after replacing two parts on the top of the gas tank, they found another leak, a pinhole on the top of the tank. They removed the tank, and removed the gas, found and repaired the leak, reinstalled the tank, and the gas , and retested. I passed emissions with flying colors. To make a very, very long story short. I brought a car here to get the engine pulled and rebuilt for another vehicle. I was quoted 4-6 weeks for the work. It took just over 9 MONTHS. This is despite calling in to check on progress multiple times and having deadlines broken over and over and...... over. I was even repeatedly given the owners "word" it would be done by these dates, then he never called when the time came. In that 9 month time I had moved halfway across the country and had to deal with this mess. It was unbelievably stressful and they only came through when I filed court paperwork. The only reason I give 1 star is because in the VERY END, 9 months later, they did the right thing and completed the engine for free and I was only charged the deposit for new parts. I do commend them for this. However, the chassis of the car is still there and they never returned my phone calls about it. If you're getting something relatively simple (like an oil change or simple part replacement) I would trust them to be timely, however, if you are having something more involved, look elsewhere. p.s. - Darla D. You obviously have no clue what "Ethan B" was talking about seeing as you're not me and didn't have to deal with my issue. Mind blowing, isn't it? Although I must say the service I received was quite "unbelievable". I have a $2600 quote for my rebuild that took over 9 months, over a grand in receipts for the storage of my other vehicle at another shop while I waited for them and a case number that I dropped when they realized they couldn't ignore me any more and finished their work. I believe Brian's story %110 as I was flat out ignored and lied to numerous times over a period of many months. If your experiences were good, that's wonderful, but don't dismiss other people's negative experience because you didn't have any. It shows a severe lack of reasoning ability and intelligence. Also, if anyone wants to verify my story, the green 92 Legacy in the lot with no engine was my donor car. According to my father it was still there as of a month ago when he passed by. read more

Took my wagon into Subiworx for a new boot on my steering rack and to fix a few exhaust/boost issues. Dropped the car off in the AM and picked it back up later in the afternoon. Sergei was awesome about explaining exactly what they did and mentioned a few small other issues that could use fixing in the near future. I have been told this is the place to go for repairs and maintenance for Subaru's by multiple people who own them in the East Valley area and I will be returning customer. His honesty, integrity, and overall niceness is hard to find in a shop owner and he blew my expectations out of the water. You do have to understand though, with it being a smaller shop and pretty busy sometimes things can take a little longer than expected. I went in on a Monday and asked what day worked best to drop it off and we decided Thursday. They seem to be getting more business now that their name is being mentioned more often in the Subaru scene, so remember to call first or go schedule a time. We are new to the Phoenix area and were looking for a reputable Subaru repair facility. When I originally called to talk to them about the repairs I knew we needed they were very knowledgeable what was going on and what it was going to take to fix it. Because of they type of repair they were booked about 6 weeks out. I scheduled the appointment and they told me it would take a week from start to finish. I got a call on Thursday letting me know that the car was ready they did recommend a transmission service in addition to the work that had been completed I asked if it could be ready by Friday and they assured me it would be done. We picked the car up and are very happy to report that it hasn't driven this good since it was nearly new. Thanks Subiworx for doing a great job.. Excellent Subaru shop. We've had our 02 Forester in three times now, most recently for an evaporator core swap and ac recharge. I am a mechanic and don't trust many folks.
