Danato took his time in explaining the entire process to me before starting the treatment, which included multiple cleansing washes accompanied by steam throughout. He finished the treatment off with a bouncy blowout. I have thick and coarse caucasian/asian hair, and he was incredibly patient and enthusiastic in creating the look that I wanted. The whole experience was relaxing and pleasant from start to finish. Danato was very attentive, polite and detail-oriented. I would highly recommend him for a hair spa treatment or blowout!

Honestly, it's probably two part in what I asked for and booking an apprentice stylist. Wanted long curtain bangs and long layers, cut to just below the collar bone. Got a long bob with, albeit, layers... some of the bangs cut dried and curl into my nose. Again, it's part bad ask and bad haircut. The stylist was working with me and tried to achieve what I was asking for, I just wish there was a bit more conversation about how to achieve what I want. Instead, I was impressed with how the stylist reiterated the hair cut back to me in bullet note like fashion, but it didn't initiate more conversation but instead felt like a: I'm telling you what I'm doing so if you dislike it in the end, it's your fault not mine. Giving 4 stars because I only had the stylist the one time! Don't knock this place until you try it, but this was my experience. I'm posting some reference pics along with my haircut. So I was going back and forth on whether or not to leave a review. I saw Jenn a couple weeks ago and told her I wanted a really ashy blonde balayage. My hair had been balayage before so we both agreed a good step would be to touch up my previous balayage and add in some low lights to break up the blonde as I'm a natural dark brunette. What irritated me is Jenn argued with me on the color I wanted. She said 1) she was worried about damage which is fair but 2) she thought a different color would suite my skin tone better. I told her if damage was a concern I'm ok going darker like a light brown that is really ashy however, she still ended up toning my hair to a yellow blonde color. It's been a couple washed and I hate how it looks. You can see at the top where she touched up the balayage it's very much so a orange color and contrasts with the previous ashy blonde color I already had in my hair. Overall , for how much this salon costs I would not go back.

I was given 2 options covering all goals discussed - 1. start off with highlights/lowlights/gloss or 2. Start off with a gloss. I chose starting with a gloss. After the gloss was washed out I noticed grays and asked about it. It was then I was told, "a gloss doesn't cover grays. We'd be lucky to get 30-40% coverage with a gloss." After getting home I now realize the gloss isn't even and pulled reddish. I did leave without a blow dry out of frustration so in all fairness I'm sure they would have adjusted that had I stayed. But also, I figured it would probably be fine since it's a gloss but not the case. The manager did offer for another appointment with the owner or another stylist but I declined and they did not charge me. Just posting to help another person avoid this.

Juju is an absolute gem and really knows what she's doing when it comes to hair. She also speaks English pretty well so it is easier to communicate with her if you don't speak Chinese. Perms can take up to a couple hours so she also makes sure you keep up your stamina by offering you snacks and water/coffee. The service in general at this salon is pretty quick and efficient and thorough in terms of getting people in and out quickly.
