I found Denise's salon account while searching for a local color specialist to do a color correction for me. I have long hair which I had been dying black for a decade. I finally stopped dying it & had been growing it out in an attempt to go back to a more natural shade of brown, but eventually I got impatient. So I reached out to Denise for a consultation. She was confident that she could give me the chocolate, caramel color I wanted while maintaining the length & strength of my hair. So we promptly booked my next appointment for her to begin working her magic I think these photos speak for themselves! In addition to being wonderful at her job, but she is a shining & beautiful person inside & out I am so happy with my hair & I am even more happy that I met Denise. I absolutely adore Denise and her work of magic! Her studio is very comfortable and well decorated. In addition, while you are there (appointment only), she gives you 100% of her attention. Which is great, because I'm constantly laughing and sharing stories with her. I've been traveling a ton for work and my hair was TRASHED after too many nights in hotels with hard water (I'm looking at you, Arizona!). Even though I'm diligent about products, the hard water was no match. Denise recognized the challenges right away and made a significant difference in a couple of hours. Denise has been doing my hair for over 12 years! I have not lived near Reno for 5 of those. Most recently, since COVID I have not had my hair colored because I do not trust anyone else! I was texting with Denise prior to our appt and told her that it has been at least 7 months since I last had my hair done, and that I wanted a balayage/babylights and wanted to go as light as reasonably possible. She responded and said she would give me some options but never did. When I got to her studio, she never once mentioned or asked any further about what I wanted to do with my hair. Every single person has always asked before starting. I guess she didn't care to know what I wanted. But she had great reviews so I trusted her. Since I'm a first time client with at least 7 months of growth, one might think it's like practically starting from scratch right? I was prepared for it to be like that of a first time appt because that's what it was. Denise, however, did not prepare and winged it. I could tell she was already rushing halfway through and it was honestly making me nervous. Needless to say, my hair was fried, more than it had ever been after any bleach job in the past and I looked like a hyena with different shades of bleached, patchy spots and harsh lines. It was a botched job. Sure, she offered to fix it, as she should, but gaslighted me in her response as if it was my hair's fault that she did a poor job or that she had no idea prior that it had been that long. Would you let that person touch your hair again? No thank you. She never responded to my request for a refund. She admitted herself it should have been a 4.5 hr job. How do you miss the mark by 2.5 hrs though? Her after pictures might look decent on the surface, but if I put my hair half up like I like to do, that would have been embarrassing. She would have known that though if she asked before starting and saved us both the trouble. I had to pay someone else $300+ for Denise's negligence. She even kept the tip.

Blond Highlight Review. (Pictures Attached). The blond highlights I requested turned out yellow, brassy, and a few spots completely white. While she did not seem to interested in asking me how I wanted my hair, I did ask for simple partial blond highlight. I was a first time client. The outcome left banding throughout my hair. This resulted in fragile, broken hair, with burns on my scalp from the bleach. I can speculate what happened but that doesn't really matter. What matters is the results and her response to said results. I did inform her how my hair turned out. She did offer to fix it. I considered having her fix it but after consultation with two other stylist, I did not feel comfortable retuning to someone who destroyed my hair and scalp so badly on our first meeting. She blew out my hair before I left, therefore she KNEW that the bleach had bled out of the foils causing the banding and spots. She knew and didn't say anything to me. To me this is a very dishonest way to run a beauty business. Again, I could speculate why she didn't say anything but that is a moot point. I did ask for a refund as the service requested was not delivered. She did issue me a partial refund. I paid $198 for this service, including a 20% tip (total without tip $158.40). She returned $133, citing she was subtracting $65 for the haircut + tip. I did not ask for a haircut but she stated to me she includes haircuts in all appointments. At the time I interpreted that to mean the haircut was built-in the highlight price. Apparently it is not and a haircut is $52 plus the 20% ($13) tip I left equaling $65. Had I known a trim was going to cost $65, I would have forgone the haircut. I did inform her I thought refunding only a partial amount was petty considering the destruction of my hair and she did not respond. Perhaps I am being unreasonable or perhaps she needs the money.... Whatever the case, I received very poor results, damaging in fact. This is my experience. But the good news is from the math above, her price of a partial highlight is only $106.40. So my suggestion to future clients is to forgo the expensive haircut and get some inexpensive partial highlights, I'm sure not all of her work is bad (in fact I am sure she does decent hair sometimes). I hope this does not happen to anyone else.

I can only put 5 stars but id put 1,000 if it let me. Before finding her I had struggled for years and years to find a hair stylist that could achieve the color I've always dreamt of. After just one session with Denise my hair had been the color I never thought I'd get. Denise's talent shines through in every piece of hair she lays her hands on. She's honest about your hair goals, products, and maintenance of this kind of color. Selfishly I wish I could gatekeep her all for myself. However, I think everyone deserves to feel as beautiful as Denise makes you feel by reaching your hair goals. Love her, the salon, and atmosphere. No awkward conversations or having to stress out in the chair if your hair is gonna turn out how you'd like. Denise does men's hair and does it best. She is also incredibly efficient. Make an appointment, show up on time, get the best haircut. I've been traveling for two years and the hardest part is getting a good cut that manages to keep my swirling cowlicks under control. Denise sets the gold standard by which all other hair stylist/barbers are judged. Some have come close, most fail by simply doing their version of my request. Now I have photos of Denise's work to help them.

Denise is a true miracle maker. I have natural dark blonde hair that is thin, frizzy and curly. She gives me the most perfect shade of blonde every time. I usually see her every 3 months and the grow out always looks so natural even though I have about 1 to 2 inches of roots. I recently got another keratin treatment from her and my curls have never looked more healthy. She promised me that the keratin treatment for curly hair would not mess with my curls and she was right. The curl pattern is perfect. The treatment made my curls better and I have absolutely no frizz. read more

Wonderful experience with Denise! She went above and beyond to "make magic" with my hair! First off, she fit me into a last minute appointment and then was completely wonderful and accommodating even when I had to be over half an hour late due to an emergency road closure. The whole process took some time and care because I am super sensitive to bleach, so I really appreciated her patience and commitment to getting the beautiful icy blonde I had my heart set on! Denise Bartlett is AMAZING. I came to Denise with red, dry, damaged, broken hair and she has turned it around to a complete 360. I never imagined it could look this good again (after bleaching it for many years). She has managed to achieve the exact blonde I wanted while still keeping my hair looking healthy. I was in search of a blonde specialist several months ago, and did my due diligence by researching online reviews. Not surprisingly, Studio 1221 and Denise Bartlett had amazing reviews. Due to a number of reasons I hadn't had my blonde highlights refreshed for a few months when I contacted Denise. She got me in the very next day (I understand she books out weeks in advance), and I was thrilled to meet her. Denise is so very nice, works fast, and gave me the best blonde I had in a long time. I just went back again, and once again Denise did not disappoint. She is able to give me the "icy" blonde highlights that I love. If you're looking for a great colorist, look no further. I wouldn't hesitate to say Denise is the best hairdressor I've ever been to (been to quite a few!) She's a master of her art. I went to see her initially for a color correction because another stylist just destroyed my hair. I couldn't believe she was able to fix such a mess! My before and after pictures were incredible. Now I've been seeing her for cut and color every 3-4 months for several years and I won't go anywhere else. I moved to Susanville about a year and a half ago and earlier this year tried a local hairdresser out. Big mistake and she ruined my hair and it looked nothing like what I wanted. Once that cut and color grew out I started researching yelp for someone in Reno and came across Denise. Loved the pictures and reviews so I set up and appointment. She does wonderful work, got everything fixed and made my hair red, beautiful and right on point with the color for the first time. Usually in the past it has been kinda purple instead of coppery. I can't believe I haven't left a review sooner! I've been going to Denise for about 5 or so years now and for good reason. She has a great heart, an infectious personality, and is truly skilled at what she does. She goes above and beyond every time and the passion she has for what she does is clear. Keeping the integrity of your hair is always her goal and she really has her client's best interest at heart. She brought me from black hair to perfect blonde (after multiple sessions so my hair wasn't fried) and we've even played with some pink/blue/purple in between! Okay, I've been to Denise many times and she is a very cool lady! She goes out of her way to make you feel special, which is why she gets three stars. The thing about Denise is that she runs herself into the ground and consequently it's starting to show in her work. She will double and triple book herself and cram a 2.5 hour job into 1.5 hours and charge you for 2.5 worth of work. "I don't want to rush this" Is a tactic she uses when she doesn't have the time or is too lazy to do your entire head. While I can respect the fact someone doesn't want to wreck havoc on my hair, I don't want to be charged for a job half done. If you're a new client, she will get you in her chair and do a heavy highlight on top and make you look "blonder" but totally neglect the lower portion of your hair. In addition, she's so fast that her lines often turn out sloppy. Denise, you a wonderful lady but I would advise you to not bite off more than you can chew and stop taking on new clients if you can't give everyone the experience they pay for. read more

I am so happy I found Denise! I've been coming to her for about a year now and she has done an amazing job; one transformation after another. She has done what many could not and that is make me BLONDE! Not only did she even out the many layers of color from the ghosts of stylists past, but she lifted my hair without damaging it. To add complication, my hair is curly and I have a lot of it. Somehow she's able to navigate through the tangled locks and transform them into beautiful tresses! What she does is pure magic! Denise is super cool and has something that just cannot be taught. She genuinely cares about the quality of her work and just wants to make you even more beautiful than you already are. I found Denise here on Yelp after going to another salon that left me feeling not so hot. I was VERY impressed by her pictures and her reviews so I thought I would give her a call. I first contacted her through text and she responded that day and asked me to send her some pictures of what my hair looked like before andI was able to get an appt the following week. She did SUCH AN AMAZING job, i am BEYOND happy with what she was able to do. After not even remotely getting what I wanted at another salon I went on a desperate search on yelp to find a salon that could achieve what I wanted. This is where I found Denise at studio 1221 and I honestly could not be happier Denise asked me exactly what I wanted and asked for a picture of my current hair so she could see what she had to work with after seeing it she assured me she could get it and boy did she!!! She made my hair look AMAZING!!!!!! After a brutal, horrible, nightmare experience with a hair stylist, I was terrified to trust somebody again. Contrary to popular belief, blonde hair is not easy. It takes a magician to give you the beautiful blonde without the brassiness, or gold tones, or a line of demarcation, and most importantly...it takes a magician to give you beautiful blonde locks the healthy way!!! To have gorgeous blonde, or bleach blonde hair, without damage, is a miracle sent From Heaven!! Denise saved my hair, she changed the game when it comes to blonde hair stylist in Reno. No matter where I go in my life, I will always come back to her for my hair. You cannot put a price on confidence in your blonde hair stylist. Her client reviews and before and after pics were the main reasons I felt I could trust her and I was 100% right to do so. The fact that she's a bleach blonde herself was the cherry on the ice cream! Melony Cox just moved back from New York. She is amazing! Truthfully a God send. I needed a hair correction from a not so good experience at Milan Institute, even though I did love the girl that did it, but in any case I went to this studio and Denise gave me Melony's number. I called not a minute later and she came in in 15 mins. Did a beautiful hair cut and a blow out. She is extremely knowledgeable and super down to earth. She definitely knows what she is doing. Denise is truly an artist, and is exceptional at what she does. I have been wanting red hair for over 3 years, and after finally getting the courage to make the drastic change, I decided to go with Denise based on her stellar Yelp reviews. Time and time again, I read in the reviews that Denise is 1)very talented, and 2)has a very fun personality. Sure enough, that was my experience too! You know, it took me a REALLY long time to trust someone with my hair after someone chopped it all off when I said the complete opposite.. I gave this place a shot and love what Amanda (Clark) did to my hair! She trimmed it and deep conditioned it as well, and I swear my hair has never felt healthier. I didn't know they made hairdressers like Denise Bartlett. She's over-the-top talented, down to earth, unpretentious, and gorgeous to boot. So glad I found Denise B. on Yelp! She is very approachable and friendly, and SO TALENTED when it comes to cuts and color! I actually really like my regular (previous) hairdresser at one of the Aveda salons in Motown, but the color wasn't right and I had to go back and have her fix it. Still wasn't WOW-ed. So when it was time to touch up I happened upon Denise's Yelp page for Studio 1221 and LOVED the pics of her colors! So I went to her to get my bond fixed. I love my new bright blond for summer! My hair was totally ruined from my last girl and Denise fixed it with this amazing red brown with golden highlights. I love it!!!!! I just left my first appt. with Amanda at Salon 1221 and she was amazing! She came highly recommended by the other stylist there, Denise. My husband is a traveling nurse and I usually wait until we're home to get my hair done but I was in desperate need of a cut because my layers had grown out making my hair hard to style. Anyway, Amanda was very sweet and did an excellent job! I'm picky and trying someone new is nerve wracking for me. She asked if she could cut my hair dry because you can see how someone's hair naturally lays that way. To me dry cuts are always a sign of a good stylist...at least with my hair. I've had my hair cut that way for years. Afterwards she washed, dried and curled it and I'm very happy with everything she did! She was a sweetheart too! I promise you won't be disappointed. I live in Los Angeles and came to Reno this week to visit our daughter and family. She recommended Denise when I complained about my awful hair, and not having been to a stylist in over 15 years due to trust issues. My hair is long and thick and increasingly gray, and the color (from the box) was a solid washed out blonde-white. It was awful. So I made a spur of the moment decision to have my hair cut and colored, but Denise was already booked and could not do both due to my short notice. She did an awesome job on my very long and very thick head of hair. She layered it beautifully and shaped it just as I requested, and when she was done it looked the way it used to back when I was still working and going regularly to my stylist in Beverly Hills. A few years later after my stylist retired, I went to Jose Eber Salon and spent a fortune, for a mediocre cut and color, and NOT what I requested. Denise listened, and delivered and we planned to do color on my next visit to Reno. But later in the day, Denise phoned my daughter to say she had an opening if I still wanted color, and I was absolutely thrilled. This time she was going to turn my dreary faded hair into "Hot Blonde", and boy, did she ever. It is so beautiful, with natural shades of blonde and my hair feels healthy again, soft, light, and I can just shake it and let the layers fall in place. I am ecstatic and feel ten years younger! Did I mention I turned 60 this past year? I feel pretty again, thanks to Denise. She is an absolute sweetheart, and the time flew by as we chatted and laughed and she simultaneously did an awesome job on my hair. I don't think I can say enough about this beautiful, considerate and professional young woman! Her salon is fresh and hip, and easy to find, with plenty of lot parking. And her prices are extremely reasonable. Now I have another reason to come to Reno more often...first, to visit our family and grandkids, and second, to spend a couple of quality hours with Denise. I adore Denise. She is an incredible colorist and gifted with blondes, but more than that, I cherish her sparkling personality and no-BS attitude. I always leave her salon feeling beautiful and happy, even when I come in grumpy or stressed out. No matter what, Denise manages to make me laugh and turn my mood around just by being her goofy, wonderful self. (and of course doing an amazing job with my hair). When my schedule gets chaotic she finds a way to fit me in. I started seeing her every six weeks, then every five, and now every four, which makes me feel very special. Before I got married this past May, Denise made me feel extra beautiful and taken care of. I love that while she is unapologetically herself, she appreciates different styles and ways of being beautiful. We both love fun vintage finds, rodeo-wear, and she even introduced me to banana clips. But I see so many different kinds of women coming to get their hair done by her, and it's obvious she makes each of us feel (and look) uniquely beautiful. I recommend Denise to everyone. I am writing my first review on YELP to tell you about Denise @ Studio 1221! I just moved 3 months ago to Reno,Nevada and am still get adjusting to being in a new place. On a whim I went to a salon (to be un- named, which should stay that way) which over charged me and was suppose to be fabulous! They were to leave me with a reverse ombre (blond to light brown) and instead ended up walking out of there with yellow roots and brassy ends that were splotchy and I was devastated. A few days later I went to the gym and saw this girl in my Zumba class and I literally stalked her down to find out who did her hair. She told me "Denise Bartlett @ Studio 1221". I called Denise and explained my hair nightmare and she told me to come in that evening at the end of her day for a consultation and bring a photo of what my hair was suppose to look like. I went to her Salon and instantly offered me a glass of wine (who doesn't appreciate that) and listened to what I wanted and needed as she asked me tons of questions about my hair and the picture I wanted my hair to replicate. She ended up squeezing me in that week one evening late ( I think she felt pity on me). Needless to say, Denise fixed my hair and made it even better than I thought it could be. While I was getting my hair done she even went to get me Mexican food at a restaurant in walking distance because I was starving. Who does that? My husband was helping me look for a hairdresser this summer, and found Denise online through her high-rating Yelp reviews - AND I'M SO GLAD HE DID! I've been seeing her months now! Denise is the Blonde Fairy Godmother I've desperately needed in my life! I have brown hair naturally, and had 9+months at LEAST of grow out with bands of gold and yellow when I first saw her this summer - and this woman turned me into a blonde bombshell the first visit!!! My husband's jaw dropped when he saw how SMOKIN' HOTmy hair looked! I'm tellin' ya'll.... If you want hot hair that's not only gorgeous, but healthy - Go SEE DENISE! But be warned, you'll have to run from your husband with all the attention he's going to give you! If you're not careful, you'll be pregnant in no time my friend! She's also SO NICE to talk to, and always has a smile on her face when I come in for my appointments! Her building is so pretty inside. She works around my scheduling conflicts and makes sure I get in to maintain my hair. She also showed me how to maintain my blonde hair between appointments, which no one had ever told me how to do before! Like, what! Where have you been all my life!?! Denise is an absolutely amazing hairdresser! Quite frankly, she is one of the best hairdressers I have ever had the pleasure to meet. She is professional, very friendly, and extremely compassionate. A couple years ago, I suffered a horrible chemical burn on my scalp due to a hairdresser leaving dye on my scalp too long (even though I told her it was burning me). This unfortunate event caused me to get something called burning scalp syndrome. It is a very painful thing to go through, feels like you're wearing a crown of thorns, causes you great anxiety, not to mention major hair loss. It was a very painful and stressful thing to go through. I am very thankful to the Lord Jesus for healing me completely and leading me to Denise. As you can imagine, I was very fearful about going back to a hairdresser; however, Denise is such a blessing to me. She is very careful with my scalp, extremely compassionate, and really knows how to create beautiful, sexy hairstyles. I would highly, highly recommend her to all. She is very gifted and talented. Denise is AMAZING!!! I've been going to Denise for cut and color for almost a year now and she does such a great job. She always listens to what I want and also helps make suggestions. She does a phenomenal job and I always leave happy with a full head of HOT blonde hair. I always feel like we're best friends when I'm in the chair and I know when I go in for a cut It's going to be a good time. She makes her clients feel welcome and she always has a smile on her face. The salon is very clean and quite. She has a large selection of products at a reasonable price and of course they are all salon grade products. My favorite is purology. Denise has her own little room so its more personal and you don't have to listen to the conversations around you. She always makes the time to style my hair after my cut and has even fit me in to her busy schedule last minute. You can't beat that! I've even got her cutting my boyfriends hair. All around I love this salon and if you need a great cut and color Denise is your girl! I just moved down to Santa Rosa CA and I make the drive every few months to get my hair done by Denise because she's that good. read more

I have had sleuth of bad hair stylists through out the course of my life ,until DENISE! I always had longer hair that is on the thicker side. NO STYLISTS ever wanted to cut my hair passed shoulder length or get it blonde enough! They would make excuse,tell me my hair couldn't be that blonde,until Denise. I found her while creeping on YELP and called her to make a consultation. I was very nervous and apprehensive for I thought it was going to be another botched attempt at getting someone to see my vision. She told me to bring a photo of a hairstyle I loved, a star w/ similar hair and one of color. I went in and showed her all of my photos and told her my hair whoa's and whola MISSION ACCOMPLISHED she understood. I now have been going to Denise for over a year at her little Studio in Midtown. I have "HOT HAIR" (this is what she calls it) now that looks like P!NK and became blonde enough and so overjoyed someone understood what I wanted. I get so many compliments on my hair! I went to Denise on a recommendation from my friend who raved about her. I've never gone to another stylist since. That was over three years ago. I go to school out of state and wait to get my hair cut until I can come home and see Denise. I don't trust anyone else with my hair--she gets it right every single time. Denise took my hair from dark brown to blonde (a major change) but I had the confidence in her to take a risk. I eventually went back to my natural dark brown, but after about a year, I felt frumpy with my "granola" hair. So of course, I went to Studio 1221. Now my hair is a fabulous and fun reddish brown, and I cut over 6 inches off. I always feel safe trying new looks and taking risks with my hair as long as those scissors are in Denise's hands. She is so talented and has a great eye for what looks best. When I ask, she will give me her honest and expert opinion, which I greatly appreciate. So a little background on my hair history: I have dirty blonde hair naturally, have been dying it blonde for many years, and was at another salon for a very long time. My hair would never grow due to my stylist telling me it was "damaged" and "split" every 8 weeks, and would cut it off. Not only was I unable to grow it long, but my stylist gave me lines of demarcation and often made my highlights chunky or assymetrical- despite me having addressed the issue with her. Many times it took her over 4 hours to do my hair, and the final straw was raising prices and telling me as I was being shampooed. Now, I looked on yelp and found Denise. A hair angel. I'd seen she switched salons from Salon Glow and opened her own place, Studio 1221. The price is standard- for women even a trim will cost you $30-$35 and deluxe highlights are about $100.But for $135 total, you get hot blonde hair, that WILL grow!!! Denise is accommodating, professional, CONSISTENT, and unlike many other stylists, will not go on a cocaine or vodka binge and leave you hanging. A++++! read more

I was fortunate to find these reviews about this salon and Denise here on Yelp! All I can say is this gal is the best! I've been so down lately and for along time I've been touching up my own roots and messing with my hair! A Long time!!!! Yesterday I ventured out of my element to try and refresh my tired worn out self and thought I'd give Denise a try! After all the great comments she had to be something special! To my delight she was all that and some! I can't praise her enough! I haven't felt good in a long time and today I feel great! Even though I was 45 min. late not being able to find the salon Denise squeezed me in...I think she could hear the desperation in my voice. Or the lack of Luster! Thank-fully she was not put off by my being lost and made it work! I'm a new woman today and I owe it to this fantastic lady! She's the best and I'll definitely be back! So here's my shout out!!! Way back in the spring of 2017, I went on the hunt for the most perfect blonde specialist I could find in reno. I had some hints that Denise would be my person from our first interaction, she responded with something along the lines of her calendar was full but send some photos of what my current hair was looking like and she would see if she could fit me in. My hair had the dreaded black hole in the back and she fit me in supper quick. Well 5 years later here I am finally getting around to making a post for my blonde magic queen! I see denyse very 7 weeks for a trim and color. Typically a shade of blonde but sometimes I go rogue and she lets me put a touch of warmer colors. I have never been happier with a stylist as I am with this awesome chick!! Studio 1221 is by far the best place to receive the hottest hair on the area! Denise is an absolutely amazing hair goddess and I have been going to her for about 7 years. I wouldn't go to anyone else either! My hair can be challenging due to it's thickness but Denise styles, cuts, and colors it so that I look amazing every time. I have gone from black to blonde and back to a dark brown again with her and she has always taken care of my hair. I have heard so many horror stories of stylists turning their clients hair green and severely damaging it but not Denise. She will work with your hair and bring it to a healthy stage as well as making it look super hot! Denise is by far the best hair stylist I have been to, and she is exceptional with creating beautiful shades of blonde. I moved to Reno a few months back and decided to see Denise for my hair because her portfolio on Yelp shows she knows how to create truly eye catching blonde colors. I had to wait about 3 weeks to see her, but I didn't mind... if someone is that busy, they are doing something right! She made me the prettiest shade of blonde that I still get compliments on a month later! Denise trimmed my hair an agreeable length, unlike many stylists who cut off more than compromised. She is very knowledgeable about hair (especially blonde) and even knew helpful tips in other beauty areas. I moved here from Oklahoma a few months ago and I was in serious need of a cut and color! I'm really picky because I've had the same stylist for the last 8 years. I found Denise through an old salon and quickly realized she was obviously the best in Reno so I tracked her down to her new place! Boy am I glad I found her! Denise did a PHENOMENAL job on my hair. She took me from brunette to hot blonde and did it flawlessly. Her new salon is so beautiful and as a new client she made me feel like I had been coming to her forever, offered me a drink and a magazine and we chatted like we were old friends. Anastasia is a master artist at pedicures even when the canvas appears to be the most unpleasant to work with (my toes)! I have been to several different nail salons and have never once written about one of them because I had nothing pleasant to say. Much gratitude to Anastasia this has now changed; I leave Studio 1221 delighted with my cute toes that I can now wear open toe shoes with. I am positively comfortable because I receive exceptional service along with entertaining conversation during each appointment. Cleanliness is not a problem here; the place is absolutely pristine and that is important to me. Last but not least, you will not find better affordable pricing. This is my first review on yelp. I just had to write a review about Studio 1221. I was a little apprehensive, as this was the first salón I tried since moving to Reno a year ago. I have long hair too. I have to say I am so happy with this place! I fell in love with Denise instantly. She is so awesome! She knows what she's doing..that is fer sure! She's got a ton of knowledge and a wonderful attitude. I just love how she's beautifiying América with her fabulous hot hair one person at a time. She really is. Go see Denise! She is the best! Denise is incredible and the salon is really cute. My hair was in really bad shape, damaged and breaking all over and with really grown out roots. I was feeling soooo frumpy and Denise was able to totally turn it around and make me feel young and fresh again. I am so grateful for her!!! I've had some bad experiences with new stylists in the past not doing what I asked and have a little hair PTSD from it, but I feel like I could trust Denise to fully to listen and get it right. She is a perfectionist and pays attention to the details, which I appreciated. She really knows what she's doing and is really really good with color. She can get the shade of blonde you want perfectly without any brassy tone. My hair is so healthy now too and it has an actual style to it, which I didn't have before. Thank you Denise!! read more

Denise is seriously amazing!! I moved to Reno last year and my husband actually found her for me. It says a lot when you can find your hair stylist by photos on the internet and I could tell she does amazing colour, but even more so, amazing blonde! I wanted to go back to platinum blonde which is scary if you don't find the right person and honestly you will not be disappointed at all with Denise. She's the best, her studio is adorable and her hair is phenomenal!! Denise is INCREDIBLE!!! She is so educated on hair, and wants to do exactly what is the best and healthiest for your hair, and most importantly lol, she is soooo good at making your hair SEXY and GORGEOUS!!! I love her and she knows exactly what she is doing!!! She uses great products, and great colors. One of the things I love most about her is that she uses all types of different name brand products, but each different one is the best out there..(Sexy hair Moroccan oil, Nicholas flat iron spray, Pureology Shampoo and conditioner) She is not a hair stylist that has to only use one line of everything, she only uses the best products!! I have been going to Denise for about 3 years now for my regular haircuts and highlights, and she is wonderful. Always does a fantastic job, and she is super friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend her! Also, this year for my birthday I decided to splurge on extensions. I have really fine hair that doesn't ever grow very long and looks really sad and pathetic in pony-tails and buns. I have always been jealous of people that have that gorgeous thick flowing long hair, so I finally decided to get some of my own. ;) Denise put in my extensions on Wednesday and I have been feeling like a princess ever since.
