This is essentially the hotel lobby bar, They have a great happy hour, because it's late, service is kind of slow. If you are staying at the hotel, you will probably be given a complimentary drink card - this card is good for their select cocktails :) The snacks were good. The soup was really thick. The vibe and ambiance is relaxed

    Cholula cauliflower with homemade ranch

I had the turkey club which was fine, the fries were nice and crispy. I also tried the Cholula cauliflower which was a touch to spicy for me but I'm a wimp. I have to give a giant shout out to the waitstaff. It looked like there were only 3 people working and one of them was a manager. They did an excellent job!

First night in Houston, staying at the JW Marriott and decided instead of battling the heat, I would grab something light from downstairs at Stray Horse. Upon entering the place was empty (PERFECT for me) was greeted very warmly at the front. Placed my order for a Coors light (came out ice cold!!! ) and the grilled chicken caesar salad. A man named Haren (sp?) came up introduced himself and brought me a little stand for my phone. (I have eaten MANY places and never had this!) The salad came out and was probably the best caesar salad I have ever had. This place is a gem! The ambience, service and food are top notch, and for reasonable prices! EXCELLENT dining experience They earned this 5 star review!

Stopped in a drink at Stray Horse. This is a bar (and restaurant) inside the JW Marriott. Ordered the Manhattan called Annexation 1845. Was a solid drink. Bartender was a bit space cadet but pleasant.

This Galleria location on San Felipe in particular is convenient for me because I have a friend that lives in the apartments that this location is connected to. You can't go wrong with any of their pastries here. My favorites are their almond croissant, kouign-amann, sticky bun, and so much more. Pair your pastry with one of their made to order lattes and you're in for a great breakfast treat. Thanks common bond for being consistently tasty, no matter which location you go to. Yes, their prices are on the higher side, but you do get quality when you come here. Enjoy!

Probably my favorite Common Bond location. First time here I was very impressed. Also beer and wine options. This used to be a Local Foods so it is larger than the other CB real estate options. Super spacious where you're not having to be right next to another table. It's very spread out and a bit busier around lunch time but still plentiful. There's also an upstairs seating area with maybe ~9 tables. Great for a little quieter. There was a group of ladies playing mahjong, love. There is free retail parking available in the adjoining garage, just a quick walk through the courtyard shared with the apartments, spa and other restaurant. Common bond isn't my first choice for coffee but for overall rating this is superb. Will be coming back when I'm in the area 100%

We live in the area and passed by this spot so many times without even knowing The exterior is appealing and eye catching. The whole section of restaurants has a trendy and family friendly vibe. It would be the perfect spot to enjoy some outdoor bites and libations if not for the insufferable weather we have most of the year, but luckily, the interior is just as lovely. It's immaculate, well decorated, and deceptively spacious. There's plenty of booths, tables, and there's even a fully stocked bar and takeaway area The menu offers a variety of delicacies from a french dip, to pecan crusted chicken, to enchiladas. They have lovely handcrafted cocktails to choose from - some classic cocktails and some signature concoctions Everything tasted and looked great. The pecan chicken was more sweet than I expected, but still good. All of the sides were great. The cocktails looked great and tasted good. I did order one cocktail that gave ingredients but mentioned a "thick pink juice" that is made in-house, and upon my initial taste I soon discovered they meant beet juice. It wasn't bad, just unexpected and a little overpowering Our sever was good. Our orders came out quickly and without any issues. We did have to wait a while for top-offs on water. Also, as I was taking photos of the food our server was behind me and I apologized and they said "phone eats first," and I hope that was only meant in jest and not throwing shade lol Some tips: These plates aren't the most shareable, but if in a group I would consider ordering a variety of entrees and sides and trying each others meals If you're feeling something sweet after your meal, consider walking next door to Milk + Sugar. They're one of my favorite West Houston ice cream parlors Cheers!!

I swear you get spoiled here by every person from the front where you place your order, to the waiter/waitress, to the server bringing out the drink and food, to the bus boy picking up. I highly suggest you eat here. The ambiance is busy with chit chat going around. I am sure there might be music in the back ground. If they had a little brunch live playing group. It would be full. The food is yummy.
