We have been paying for their "subscription" on three houses for years to have regular maintenance on our HVAC system. Their work failed and caused a disaster at my rental house, resulting in thousands of dollars worth of damage. Their own technician admitted that their service was inadequate but the company refused to work with us at all, instead blaming our tenants for "running the AC non-stop" (in the Texas summer). What's worse, when we reviewed them on Google, they responded with feigned concern in order to manipulate the public into thinking they care, but would not even respond to me when I emailed them as they had requested. I am now filing a lawsuit against these people and now they get to go spend a bunch of money on legal fees instead of just doing right be their customers. ZERO STARS! First of all, they misdiagnosed the issue on a Wednesday. Tech said we needed a whole new system on Thursday. Put in the new system on Friday. It DID NOT WORK. A new tech said it was an electrical issue. Finally the next Tuesday, the electrical issue was fixed. We spent an entire week waiting for them to come back to fix an issue on a new $18,000 system. Since they will not give you a timeframe, you must wait all day to get a notice that the tech is 30 minutes away! Today, Thursday, we were scheduled to have a maintenance check on the second system. We asked for morning. At 1:30 PM we received a notice that we needed to reschedule. I do not know how this group stays in business. We have been customers for 20 years. I cannot possibly recommend this place less. They have been servicing our office building for years and we are moving on due to their incompetence and inefficiency. Our building has been needing HVAC units replaced so for 8 WEEKS NOW I have been BEGGING them to send someone just to give us an ESTIMATE. AN ESTIMATE! Not to fix a unit, not to replace a unit, not to move heaven and earth like they'd seem to explain this Herculean task; BUT TO PROVIDE AN ESTIMATE! 8 weeks ago they sent Lance to look at our hvac units, he was greeted by the receptionist, he was briefed on the issues, and had reassured us that he would go on our roof to inspect the units so he could send a quote in the following days. Now, we've dealt with Strand Brothers before, we know that any response will require pulling teeth and daily phone calls begging for help, so for 4 weeks I called DAILY asking if there was an update on the estimate. Each time, I was reassured that Lance was working on it and to keep an eye on my inbox for the estimate. It wasn't until the 4th week that they told me that actually, Lance never even made it on the roof of the building! He said there was a lock on the roof access that he couldn't bypass and that no one returned his call asking for the combination. At this point, up to here with frustration, I go digging through all of our lines to confirm that Lance NEVER left a voicemail or reached out to let us know he hadn't made it to the roof. In fact, he wouldn't even return my texts or calls! Every Strand Brother technician before and after him had made it up there no problem with the detailed log they have on our facilities. Ok, fine, this is a ridiculous mistake but please just send someone to inspect our units, right? No! Because when I ask for someone to come inspect our units they tell me that Lance is THE ONLY PERSON in the ENTIRE COMPANY that is able to complete this task, and he's on vacation for the next 2 weeks! I take vacation days too, that's not a sin, but there's no one else who can complete a simple estimate for 2 weeks and you expect me to take you seriously as a company? BUT IT GETS WORSE! I am so desperate to get this broken HVAC working with the Texas heat arriving, that I agree to his next available appointment once he's back from vacation. I patiently wait another week, and it's not until 5:26pm THE DAY BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT that I receive a call saying Lance is not available and we'll need to push it to Monday. That makes it NINE WEEKS, that I have been waiting for AN ESTIMATE of how much it would cost to replace our hvac units. I am BEYOND frustrated, BEYOND disappointed, and CANNOT IMAGINE when I will get an estimate or how long it would take this company to even fulfill that estimate. BEWARE of STRAND BROTHERS!!! Our Strand Brothers Lennox HVAC broke this weekend, and a Strand technician came out to repair our unit. The technician told my husband and I they could replace our entire HVAC unit within two days. However, the technician told us it would take 3 weeks to get the rusted coil replaced!!! It will take strand 3 WEEKS to repair our HVAC unit, but only 2 DAYS to replace our unit. This is June 15th, and our AC unit is broken!! The unit is 9 years old, and it should last between 12-15 years. Strand Brothers would not even guarantee us a response regarding our existing warranty within 24 hours. I filed a complaint with Strand Brothers, and they told me it would take 36 to 48 hours to get any response concerning our warranty or the complaint I had just filed. We are without air conditioning, and we just paid Strand Brothers $722 to fix our unit. It is still broken, leaking water through the unit into our flooring, and we cannot use our AC at all! UPDATE 6/16/25: STRAND BROTHERS did call us back, with warranty information on our AC unit, within 12 hours of our service call. Although our unit is still within the 10-year warranty period, STRAND cannot replace the rusted coil in our unit until July 3rd. I have been doing business with Strand Brothers since 2020. I purchased a Lennox Heat Pump in 2022 and a Lennox Air Handler in Sept. 2024. Strand Brothers put the wrong size unit in compared to the Heat Pump. After I got a second opinion, Strand put in the correct size Air Handler. I am sure they lost money, but it was their fault to began with. However, the units are not working correctly and they refuse to fix their error. I am convinced that Strand Brothers heating and cooling tried to break my Lennox AC/heating equipment. I scheduled a six month maintenance inspection on my eight year-old Lennox AC units I paid the maintenance agreement previously and the tech spent only 20 minutes, not taking any pressure measurements and obviously not checking our draining hose. which resulted in the thermostat not working. He told me the thermostat needed to be replaced $1200. But that was not the end of it. I did not replace the thermostat but had another company take a look and they found that the drainage hose was completely clogged and the blower fan was not working properlyand the coils were freezing up. This would have destroyed the condenser. Which I think was the plan with the technicianSince they only get a small amount paid to them per maintenance, but receive a percentage of the cost of any parts that they "diagnose" broken or about to go out. This company needs to be put out of business! It's very obvious to me that the technician tried to destroy my AC unit in order to receive a percentage of the cost of a new condenser! The most expensive part of an AC unit! Beware of Strand Brothers heating and cooling! It is a complete scam. They are crooks! And they don't care if the consumer is unhappy. Even having to select one star was painful ... if there were negative stars, I'd have left a -5 ... the absolute WORST (customer) service and issue resolution. "Strand Brothers Service Experts Will Make You Feel Right at Home Creating comfortable, efficient homes with expert service and innovative solutions." Bulls**t. Innovative solutions? Comical ... anything but. Situation: They had a technician come out recently, and 'serviced' our a/c unit. Fast forward to yesterday, December 23 ... early in the morning it's getting extremely warm in the house, and the a/c appears no to be working. A technician came out and determined a part was 'bad', and that he didn't have the part on him, but that he'd call around to find one. By 11a the next morning, Christmas Eve ... still no word from them. I call to find out when they'll be coming (we had Christmas Eve plans, but wanted to coordinate being home so it could get fixed and we'd have a/c for Christmas Day) ... and come to find out their response was we don't have the part, it'll be Friday, the day after Christmas. It's Texas. It's 80 outside ... and we've already been without a/c for over 24 hours ... call it what you want, this is emergency-level now. Yes, I understand this could be perceived as a 'first world problem', and parts go out. No one was hurt, harmed, starving, dying .. it wasn't freezing or scorching outside ... and there are infinite worse situations, but it's now a problem of Strand creating the problem, then making it ours, and then showing ZERO empathy/urgency/resolution ... and being blatant about it. They offered no solution ... not calling other servicers/providers, checking nearby towns, offering to buy/rent a portable a/c unit for us ...NOTHING ... just a figurative 'oh well' and 'good luck'. This was their problem that they could've easily offered any one of many solutions, but they chose to stick with nothing. The only thing they said was to go buy, out of our pocket, a window unit. I spoke with multiple customer service reps, who bless their heart had to deal with an irate me, did the best they could to relay messages ... but their coward, incompetent local managers 'Tony' and 'Joe' ('Joe' is apparently an Austin area GM) couldn't find the time to not only make a call ... but literally tried at what I have to assume is the minimum to resolve. It's a literal impossibility that there's no solution. I understand it's Christmas, and parts stores, etc are on limited hours and/or closed ... but at a minimum, they could've at least tried to find the part elsewhere, or bought or rented us something to help cool the house on Christmas Day ... but again, nothing but a figurative chuckle and 'oh well'. I'm sure they'll each/all enjoy their own air conditioned Christmas Day. That's not all. Last summer we had a similar issue where a part broke, which I understand happens, but they made ZERO effort to resolve with any urgency. This was summer, in Texas. We had to stay in a hotel for several nights on our own dollar. No attempt to rectify, resolve or compensate ... not even a simple empathetic 'sorry'. Oh, that's not all ... we're (supposedly) 'Maintenance+' or 'Advantage' members, which they advertise as valued customers ... but clearly means absolutely nothing. I've had bad service before, and believe it or not I'm not typically one to complain to this level ... but their response and literal 'we don't care' attitude is wildly beyond unacceptable. BEWARE if two representatives from the company show up to your maintenance appointment. One of them is the salesperson and the other one is the technician. They are working together to sell you parts and plans that you don't need. The second person jumped the call to make a sale. Send the person away that came in the car / SUV. It would be best not to use Strand Brothers at all but that's my opinion and your option. On October 11, 2025, we came home to a warm house, and I noticed that the outside fan of the HVAC unit wasn't spinning. I called Strand Brothers and scheduled an appointment for October 12, 2025 at 9:00 AM. A younger gentleman and technician showed up and began "diagnosing" my HVAC unit. After about 30 minutes, the technician shows me that his "diagnostic tool" states that I have a "faulty compressor (invoice attached)." The younger gentleman, who is the sales person, takes over from this point. He proceeds to tell me that a new compressor will cost $6,000. The sales person states that my HVAC system is ten years old and it would be best to replace the whole unit. He states that just replacing the compressor; and not the entire unit would lead to problems in the future, and I'd end up paying more in the end. The sales person starts with financing opinions for an entire HVAC unit and quotes me $16,558 (picture attached). I look at all the opinions and made a decision to replace my entire HVAC system, and they schedule the replacement of the system for the next day because "they have one in stock (lucky me)." At this point my spider-sense begins to tingle! I decide to get a second opinion and call two other HVAC companies. The first one to come out was Stan's Heating, Air, Plumbing and Electrical who arrives at 1:30 PM. Their technician begins to diagnose my HVAC system and states that there are two problems. The Stan's technician states, "the disconnect box is melted and needs to be replaced and the thermostat was faulty (invoice attached)." He replaced both items for $698 and the air conditioning began working. He tested the compressor and the rest of the HVAC unit and determined that everything was in fine working order. I know shocker, right?!?! I called Strand Brothers and cancelled the HVAC install at 4:30 PM. On October 14, 2025, I asked Strand Brothers to refund my $99 "Diagnostic Charge" since they clearly got it wrong. They refused to refund the money; therefore, I am writing this review. I tried to work with them and meet in the middle. I understand that sometimes people make mistakes, but there are consequences when mistakes are this egregious. I was almost out $16,558 for a broken thermostat that they 'mis-diagnosed;' however, I believe this is a common practice with this company. Tim came out today to do our yearly maintenance. He was so kind and helpful. He returned because he wanted to give us a better quote for the duct replacement. That? That was pretty amazing. I haven't been happy with this company. Our system hasn't worked properly since it was installed in 2020. The heating unit is fine. The AC unity has NEVER cooled the upstairs properly. EVER. The company has been rude when I have called. The last time, the woman said that they would replace our Damper but, "The next time, you guys are going to need to pay for it." Um, no. We are STILL under WARRANTY. I am not using this company again. EVER. Yet, Tim? He really improved my attitude toward the company today. I guess, instilled some faith in them. The very fact that he was on the way out the door the first time when I found the email with the EXACT issue and he turned around. Then, he went to his truck, got his ladder, and went into the attic to uncover the EXACT issue. He took pictures to show us the issue. He gave us the estimate. He gave us another estimate to replace the ducts. He left and my husband and I were discussing both estimates. Too high. Yet, Tim returned to say that his company had given him permission to have someone else come out to give a lower estimate. We need to wait. Just a bit. Tim, I will ask for Tim every SINGLE TIME from here on out. The reason? He's good. He's honest. He REALLY tried to get the price down. Strand Brothers, you need to do what you can to keep him. I wish I could leave 0 stars for this company. My AC Unit went out and needed to be replaced. $11,000 later Strand installed the BRAND NEW unit incorrectly. I had a new, non-functioning unit, for another four days until they got out and fixed it. For five days I've tried to reach a manager or anyone at Strand to address this. I've talked to their call center who states they can't give out the local office number and someone will call me back. They haven't. I finally called the billing department (who called me immediately after installation for payment before I realized the system didn't work). I was told a manager would call to discuss this. When we did not receive a receipt for the work finally completed, I had to call to get one. I then saw our veterans discount was not given and they couldn't adjust the amount only said a manager would call and they never did. very disappointed in the way our situation was handled by them. my AC stopped working and they came out quick on a Sunday, which is nice, but they said they didn't see anything wrong but the coil was frozen, which I understand. we left the unit off all night to unfreeze and so they could the next day for them recheck it cause they said the couldn't do anything until it unfroze. they gave me a window from 4-8pm in which I took off work early... they showed up at 8:30. I get off at 6 I could have not left work and not lost more money. they basically came in looked at stuff then told me "the entire unit needs to be replaced" with no more words, which again i understand. But They disconnected something so I was not able to turn the unit back on at all because "it could cause water damage"... which there's a drain. the problem comes when we get a second opinion after having my 3 dogs inside while it was 93 degrees upstairs and were all were staying in a tiny room with and small window unit I went a bought. we had a different company come out after we have been living like that for a WEEK. Strand brothers came out for a tune up. But did not tune up anything. On their website it states the service includes a evaporator and condenser coil cleaning as well as a drain cleaning. None of this was done even after the tech noted I had Biogrowth in the drain and evaporator coil. The services paid for were not provided. I've called multiple times trying to speak to a "service manager" they never call back. They also tried to sale me a new unit and get me on their advantage program. Stating my unit was on its way out and undersized. Which turned out to be completely false I'm Glad I got a second opinion today from Carls A/C. Wow! What a service! I am (was) a member with Strand Brothers. Been their client for several years. I spent money doing a system with them and been a member with them as well. First, since the beginning, the system was not very well installed. The duct work is wrong (I did research after they came, sadly, and found the duct work was quite bad, a lot of sags, etc). I tried getting them to fix it but was told that Id had to pay... that was on 2016... Not very happy but they still had my warranty and such so I kept them for services and maintenance. This April, they came to do maintenance, and the outdoor temp was not quite hot. I had problems with my HVAC last summer where it was struggling to cool but during the colder days of April I did not had issues. I told the tech and he told me he was going to cancel it and that I should just call to reschedule for another day in summer. I called yesterday. Requested my maintenance call. Explained that my HVAC was now struggling to cool and explained what my conversation was with the maintenance tech. They came today. They told me it the call was scheduled as service and I was going to have to pay. I told them that I only wanted the maintenance. I requested that. I wanted them to measure temperatures, check filter, check pressure... the things they do during a maintenance call.. they told me they were going to do it but they had to call dispatch... Dispatch did not wanted them to do it. The tech passed me with the dispatcher, she was very sharp. Not polite. At least it gave me the excuse I've been waiting for a while. They are out. I cancelled my membership... One thing I found, is that they do not care at all... If you work with them for new systems, do research on how a system should be designed and done. Then be very adamant on how you want it. For maintenance, make sure you are dead clear with them. And be careful with fees on the contract... I think I am convinced that their membership is worthless specially with the customer service they have... We had a pretty awful experience with strand brothers. We were having some issues with the downstairs zone of our two zone AC system. The morning of, prior to investigating myself, I scheduled an apt with Strand Brothers in the situation I couldn't fix it myself. After cycling the circuit and eyeballing some of the components, the system kicked back on and seemed to be functional again - however given this didn't seem like a super viable long term solution, I kept the apt to have a professional check it out. Tech arrived with another person, whom I later learned to be a sales person. They cut open my plenum - manually forced open my dampers and gave my a 4k quote to replace the plenum both damper motors and some duct-work. In the process - making my previously functioning system totally kaput. Beyond this - leaving live electrical wires to the damper motors uncovered and unsheathed in our attic adjacent to wood framing. Both zones are now wildly off relative to the thermostat temperature - but in their words, "at least you have cool." After discovering the cut-open plenum we requested someone to come out and re-seal it. The tech whom came out refused to plug the electrical wiring back in for fear it would just close the dampers and he'd have to come out again. This wasn't a super cool answer as we still have unsealed wires in our attic which they refuse to do anything about. We sent out an email to their customer service, which they promptly ignored and called the next day asking for someone to do something about this mess. They put us in touch with our 3rd tech, who didn't actually make it out but verbally berated me for going cavalier by cycling my power to get my system running again - as I'm not an HVAC professional. As an engineer by trade, I'm relatively aware of the risks of fire from even low-voltage exposed wiring - the 3rd tech proceeded to laugh at me for citing my concern about firing risk over the exposed electrical. All in all - after investing hours arguing with these guys over cratering our HVAC system, my wife and I conceded we weren't making meaningful progress and have since filed a charge back with our CC - as Strand brothers has refused to respond to our emails and calls requesting a refund of their mandatory $99 service fee (over which they broke our system). Attaching some photos of the situation as evidence that this company really made our HVAC lives awful. I'm eagerly awaiting a yelp reply from them citing, "sorry about your experience, please email us at CustomerService@ServiceExperts.com with your name and address," which they'll promptly send to their junk folder. I purchased an Air Conditioner and Furnace from Strand Brothers in 2021 and paid approximately $17,000 for the unit. During the fourth year of service. The Air Conditioner coil failed and cost $500 to leak check and $2100 dollars to replace. The parts were covered by the warranty, but not the labor. The technician performed the leak check and informed me that someone would contact me soon to schedule the repair. I continued to call and finally received a call back. The lady I spoke with said she had attempted to reach me to accept their proposal, which I had received by Email and accepted three days prior. She checked and acknowledged receipt. She informed me they were backlogged and it would be two weeks before they could make the repair. The outside temperatures were in the mid and upper 90s. At the end of two weeks, I received a call that they had opened the box and the Coil was damaged. The day of the installation I was informed the coil on the Air Conditioner was no longer being manufactured. They removed the old Coil housing and used silicone, wood, tape, and paint. to fabricate a replacement housing. zero stars for these guys. I selected Strand brothers because they were on the list of licensed Lennox HVAC "specialists". first they were two hours late on a four hour window. I understand that things happen so gave them a pass on that one Second they came in a pair and from the minute they got here started asking questions rooms in the house I thought this was very weird when my AC gave a very clear error that refrigerant was low so why all the questions? later to find out that they were trying to upsell other services. They said I needed to add a return vent since I said one of the rooms was not cooling or heating well. They were totally off on that one. I later discovered the attic was not insulated above the room that was not getting cool. Third, they finally got to looking outside at the AC compressor and said there is a leak which I kind of knew about due to the error the system gave. they then proceeeded to quote, this was where the "fun" begins. They told me it would $280 per lb of R410a. I was like what? Then the more senior guy said, "wait, is he a member" no said the other guy. "oh the it's $310 per lb" He said first 4 lbs are free if the unit is covered under warranty and my unit needed 12lbs. so 7 x $310 is $2170 just in Freon then there was labor which they said would be I think they said $1500. I kind of stopped listening after the R410a price. I was in shock and said we are talking R410a which can be bought for $13-20 per lb. I told them I have priced it out already. The sales guy asked where they could buy that from cos they'd like to get some I told them online but need EPA certification to buy it myself.... Well I didn't want to waste anymore time with these guys, but did want to get a proper diagnosis on the system Since they were out here already. They took a Quick Look and said it is the evaporator coil leaking ... no leak test or anything. I asked them to prove it. Well they said they needed to charge $400 (maybe it was $425 or something) for a leak search. At which point I asked them to leave. They charged a $99 call out charge which also was a rip off since they showed up late as well. Honestly I don't know why they believe they can mark up so high. I later managed to actually get some R410a in a cylinder for $330 shipped for 25lb that's almost a 25x mark up! Also the labor is 2 to 4 hours maximum on this system. So $1500 for labor is $375 an hour! You unsweat 4 pipes and add a new drier and resweat the pipes yes you need to do a leak check also but still.... I was furious by the end of this visit and was happy to see them leave albeit $99 out of pocket. I am still livid that many HVAC companies these days just trying to rip you off. Clearly they were trying to upsell as well. You need to understand that people will shop around and do research nowadays and information is available on the internet if people put in the effort. read more

Second, the work performed was subpar, and the tech gave multiple comments that were obviously false. I am finding less and less to trust with the new management of the company. they appear to be seeking profit without regard for customer service. Stay away from this company. They came to my friends house with the ac working just fine. She wanted to have her ac checked out to make sure her Freon is fill. They told her it's not and a repair for a new system would be 15k and she declined to get a second opinion. They left her house with no ac blowing. And moments later a sales guy came to sell her a new system. Sad but true they were trying to take advantage of a single income woman. They left her house with the air blowing at 84. A second ac company came and fixed the air within 30mins. They said they did not plug a wire in the system or they left it loose. THEY STILL HAVEN'T REFUND HER 75$ ac check after the owner said he would make sure it would be refunded and it's been almost a month. Beware of these AC Crooks. read more

BEWARE! I really warn you guys against using Strand brothers to do any sort of repairs or to get estimates. These guys are not trustworthy. Check the reviews, including the additional 300 or so negative reviews that are under not recommended for a true picture of how terrible strand brothers really is before you commit to them and find yourselves out thousands of dollars. Back in May, TXU was doing a promotion for a free tune-up of AC systems so I signed up for that and it was done through Strand Brothers. Once they came and took a look at my HVAC, the rep said this AC is pretty much dead, surprised it's still working and made a bold statement stating that it'll be surprising if it even turns on after they leave. So right off the bat that's pretty suspect. My first thought obviously is if they did something to make it stop working but I didn't say any of that. Instead I listen to his sales pitch, he tried to sell their advantage program, which is a monthly subscription for the rest of time which apparently will save money or I can replace the system starting at $8,000. Lol. The rep took me outside to look at the unit and showed me that there are black spots at all these places which means that the system is almost fried and it's it needs to be replaced immediately. So they gave me the information and left without doing any tune ups (whatever the hell that entails). After they left I went ahead and called another company that has been refered to me and he took a look at it and said there's absolutely nothing wrong with the system. Black spots are normal. All it needs is a new capacitor which he replaced for me + service charge for under $160. So this was back in May and since then I've had no issues with my AC. Looks like they're just there to lie to you and give sales pitch to trick you to part with thousands of your hard earned money. There are numeous other reviewers who has experienced the same thing. I have had nothing but problems with this company because I mistakenly believed that I could actually initially trust them. WRONG. First, they offered me what seemed like a good deal: install and service an entirely new HVAC system with a ten-year contract (at the end of which I could purchase the system outright or install a new one). It sounded much better than paying out the full amount for the system right away. The system didn't seem perfect, even though new. I called service and they insisted everything was great but I had "too many windows on the first floor." Hmm, that was a new one. They treated me like an addled senior citizen. Life changes, however, found me selling my house a few months later. I thought, great! it's got a new HVAC system and I could pay off that contract. WRONG. The fine print insisted I pay off not the amount charged but DOUBLE. Strand Brothers would not compromise on this. I thought, ok, my fault, I should have read the fine print. So I paid (ugh). Then the potential new owners' inspection found a big discrepancy in the cooling system (the same one I complained about a few months earlier). Strand Brothers waived the service fee to me (seller) but insisted on charging to repair a "leak in the outside line" as well as for refilling the coolant. Hmmm, could this have been what I complained about earlier and they ignored? I'll have the problem repaired but NOT BY STRAND who has sought to take advantage of me at every turn. All the negative reviews in this site just about sum up our experience with Strand Bros. We have used them previously (and spent a lot of money) and felt we were taken advantage of then, but nothing like most recently. They did not show up on time or call. They talked down to my wife assuming she did not know anything. Did their "service" call and then proceeded to propose tremendous upsell repairs or replacements (our A/C) works fine. Stated that they found a gas leak in one of our upstairs units, showed barely, if any, bubbling from the solution and stated that all it needed was probably a wrench tightening up the connection. When my wife asked the repair tech to tighten it up, he stated that he would do it but charge her $81 repair visit (on top of the service visit we were already paying for). She asked again if it just took a couple turns of the wrench and he was standing right there why would it cost $81 more. He just said that was the way it was and we could turn off the gas and do it ourselves if we wanted. He turned off the gas valve and left the house. I have felt taken advantage of in the past from them and feel that their customer service and customer retention is the least of their concerns. Now we are left trying to figure out if we can turn the gas back on (don't need it since it is hot outside) and will the pilot light auto on. My wife called them to ask about turning back on the gas and pilot light and the Strand operator cut her off short and said she would relay the message to management and they would call her back. That was over a week ago! I have NEVER written a negative review of any business regardless of my dissatisfaction. I own a company myself and understand there are two sides to every story. But this is a first and sincere testimonial that Strand Bros (and the also own Strand AC) will never be used for our HAVC system again. Went well well for a while until today then discovered that it wasn't fixed when my mother called them to add me as an authorized user since I make the payment and had another issue today. So I did, because I'm curious, a yelp reviewer, and perhaps just believe in the belief that people can improve. NADA. Emailed with customer service rep, they told me I would hear back from Mel Thomas, the lead of the company by 3 business days close of business. Did not. I updated customer service rep. She apologized, told me she would have him get in touch with me within 24 hours. Did not. Updated her again, then received an email that Mel had been trying to call me for a week. Mel never left a message, sent a text, or emailed. Supposedly called, though looking at my call regards....wait for it...NADA. Emailed with Mel, gave him times to meet. He scheduled for Friday at 9am. Friday at 8am, he emailed and cancelled. Promised to reschedule for next week. I emailed back with times for next week, didn't hear from him. I checked in with him Wednesday of the 'next week' and he responded that he was in Las Vegas and needed to schedule for next week. I emailed him back, told him to send me times...he didn't. I emailed him on Monday, asked him if we were going to chat, and gave times. He emailed setup time for 2-3pm, told me he would call. NADA. He did call at 3:15pm...so I chatted. He asked me what he could do, I asked him if he had read my emails (which I had included in original email), and he assured me he had but wanted to 'hear it in my own words.' So I started to do that and he interrupted me twice with excuses and explanations, and I hadn't even gotten to the issues. He was rude, created his own mis-understandings, kept pivoting the conversation, and in the end had nothing to offer. He did apologize, though after the conversation we had, it meant nothing to me personally. He offered a year of service ($189 value) if I were to come back to the company, which I refused. And then I wished him well. He interrupted me again....and with that I wished him well...he interrupted me again...and so I wished him well and thanked him for his time. So, while I had hoped that perhaps talking to the top of the company would help, unfortunately, it's only proven that epic leadership leads to epic companies and/or multiple versions of this.
