Zero stars should be an option. Facilities look nice and staff may seem friendly, but management is terrible. Stay away from StorQuest Storage. Prices increase frequently (sometimes every 3-4 months), and what is promised verbally is later changed or denied. Once you're in, the rules shift and the customer has no real support. Billing is a major concern: auto-pay charges can be inconsistent, additional fees (including insurance) may appear even if you already have coverage, and refunds are extremely difficult to obtain. I have also seen multiple reports from other customers about belongings being auctioned after short delays in payment, even after years of renting. Do not rely on verbal agreements. Document everything. Consider other options. read more

At one point, my family and I were renting up to five rooms at StorQuest (5890 S 129th St, Seattle, WA 98178, which is actually within Tukwila city limits). Each customer I encountered whenever I was on the premises complained about bait-and-switch promotional tactics and guest services -- specifically, requiring a renter's driver's license in exchange for borrowing a cart, then leaving and locking the office for unspecified periods of time, forcing a renter to wait for the license, and pushing him off schedule for the rest of his day. Having rented from the company for about four years between 2021 and 2025, wherever I can, I share my own terrible experiences with the company's opportunistic behavior, shameless abandonment of good-faith business practices, and creative accounting. As many online reviews show, the company and its parent William Warren are unethical, have been for a long time, and are quite comfortable with it. Do yourself a favor and skip national storage companies altogether, and go with a Mom-and-Pop if you can still find one. read more

The manager guaranteed rates would not change and they would advise 30 days before the change so I could reach out to him to maintain same rates as I was planning a long term. Rates increase in over 30% without any notice and rates "could not" be readjusted. Disappointed as I had other storage options to choose. read more

Regional Manager, Aaron, will explain the business model to you: storage is meant for transitions. So after an introductory rate, they will increase the rent whenever and however much they want (mine went up 67% each). He will talk a lot longer to mansplain that because he thinks you're a moron ("you don't know anything about the storage industry and [he does]": his words, not mine). *He said that the storage units are never meant for long-term* (does that sound right to anybody??) When I asked him how I should manage my entire home's worth of belongings, *he said I could move every three months*. When I questioned whether he has ever moved stuff into and out of storage, if that seems reasonable to him, and he says no, he has not. Aaron has not ever *used* a storage rental unit, but *he will raise your rent as much as he wants, whenever he wants, because that's in the contract and it's _your fault_ for using storage rental*. When I asked him if that seems reasonable for my situation, he confirmed that yes, that is his position. I told him that this is "pathetic customer service" and he got super offended, lol. I mean, buddy. What else would you call this? He told me that I was being unreasonable (here we go) and that he was going to hang up, which he did. I sought a contact for his manager and no employee could provide it. It seems that Aaron is gatekeeping his fragile power. I talked to two customer service techs who agreed that I "should move out of the unit". That's their customer service response to a 67% increase in rent and promises for further increases. Aaron, this is for you. I hope your management sees this. A better job awaits. *It turns out that Aaron Rosen makes his money in commercial real estate and storage. He's raising our rates 60-100% and pocketing it all. He's the worst kind of rich. read more

WORDS OF WARNING Nice shiny, clean, dry units, heated. All interior. Multiple units have been broken into recently-- were told this by people in passing there. Location Staff are really friendly and helpful BUT cannot make corporate changes to security...! only one video camera around, who knows if its operational, but I hear staff have been told they cannot review recordings to watch for suspicious activity?!? The main access door is routinely braced open by people moving, allowing free access to non-clients at any hour. Anyone can gain entry. Not even a sign saying keep doors shut! Office folks cannot view main door activity from the office to help patrol. Multiple storage units have prybar marks on them...!? After only minutes, over Two Days there, we saw so much non-security that we called corporate office to ask whats up --they are not interested in improving the security-- they even said 'we cant put up a sign to not brace door open' If you are "only storing empty boxes and keep all your valuables somewhere else", as we were told by someone in the parking lot, this is ideal for you. read more

on the 21st of aug my unit was broken into at the location on 129th just off mlk blvd in seattle wa. i was out of town but at my request my mother works nearby and went by to drop off a few items at one of my units. when she attempted to open the unit the core lock simply came out but seemed to be missing the back of the device. she went to the office where a very timid young man was working. he was new to her at this location which is not surprising as the turnover rate since vivian, the best mgmnt on site since this locations original opening team, left. she advised him that the lock seemed to be tampered with and would he please replace it as she is concerned it may have been damaged during an attempted break in. not only did he state he could not replace my lock he charged her 20$ plus tax for a new lock. she returned to my unit and as suspected found that the unit had in fact been broken into and ransacked. she immediatly returned to the office (5min turn around max) to find the door now locked and a blk girl working on a computer at desk. as she knocked the girl shouted ' i'm not here, i'm invisible' several times my mother continued to knock/ask for her help. when she finally came near the door she repeated that she ' was invisible' to which my mother demanded she open the door. she complied and my mother told her she needed the packaging for the lock to be cut open as her unit had just been found burglurized and she needed to install a new lock before contacting the police. 'shawnie' the 'invisible worker' simply said 'thats not my problem i am not here today i am not working you need to wait to talk to the other guy that sold you the lock whenever he gets back'. she also told her it was not needed to call the police because they would not come anyways. my mother was shocked at her rudeness but hustled up to my unit to replace the lock so she could go to find a new lock since the young man who sold her the replacement lock advised her, when as he was ringing up her sale, that she should put a secondary lock like the donut looking style from public storage on to prevent this in the future. from past experience with the facility my mother knew first hand that the culprits would gain access by climbing over the top and removing the nut from the back of the locking mechanism to push the core out. my mother had to spend an additional 45$ on 2 new locks from public storage. she then went to the police dept where she was told that this storage facility was notorious for this exact crime and that although she would have to go to an alt department or file online she should truly consider vacating the premises as the 'apparent staging of my unit would give concern that they were planning to return for the remainder of what they had set aside.' not being able to contact me my mother opted to change units to confuse the culprits when they return. again, rather than be helpful or want to make things easier she was charged yet again to move locations even after stating it was at the behest of the police officer she had recently spoken to. to add insult to injury, the unit she was moved to was next to a young man who not only had also been burglurized they had used his unit to stage a myriad of items obviously from a multitude of units. in my unit they had left a 4 foot expandable ladder in his a 7 foot ladder. management also advised against calling the police and told him to simply put all the items that were not his into the hall so that it could be gone thru freely by anyone missing items. hmmmmmm does that even sound normal??? he told my mother not to move into the unit next to him also because the unit directly in front of my new unit was broken into as were several others on that same corridor. they both implored the timid young man to be more investigative as to how many others were tampered with but he seemed too afraid to do anything. after discovering a great amount missing from the unit next to us was missing and that tools etc from the unit across the hall were staged in his unit he opted to move out that instant. my mother moved all my belongings and proceeded to attempt to contact management as she held a larger unit on the next hall but no one would return her calls. she told me she had one call answered that a woman was so gracious and kind and empathetic regarding the experience and assured her she could request refunds if needed but after that everyone was simply trash. i have been trying to reach them via email but 'shawnie' says that she cannot give out email address for company. i am hoping that someone will see this and call me and offer me a refund for my rent seeing as this has been a common occurance at this location especially. the police who came to do her report told her they were told to stop responding to alarms because their renters had 24/7 access and they did not want them to feel harrassed. since when i was told hours were 9am-9pm. read more

A temperature controlled, well lit, clean, brand new storage facility!. Everything is fresh and they have a nice place for you to pull up should you have a moving truck. They use barrel locks on their doors, which I like because no one can cut your lock and take from you. The staff was polite and competent and the prices were way better than other storage facilities near by (I've tried them all in my times here!) I feel my stuff is safe. From the time you reserve to the time you check out, StorQuest employees help you with any questions and with setting up your storage rental. unhappy customer, Ive been renting a unit there for 3 years never having a problem until the new management arrived. new hour are 9 am to 600 pm unless you give them your credit card on file. a year ago I gave them my c card on file and come to find out some one was selling my c card info on the dark web. Beautiful new building with a good location , April and Christine were nice. Sadly the unit does not live up to the website hype. I rented a unit at a premium price that has a HUGE deficit in sq footage versus the advertised size of 10 X 50 or 50 sq feet. I know storage units always have a variance in sq footage due to internal structure but NEVER does it go above 4-5 inches. The depth of my unit is only 43.5 inches, 16.5 inches LESS than the 60 inches that equal 5 feet. this is a full foot and 1/3 smaller, it equates to a LOSS of 25% of the square footage in depth alone. Because the length is also questionable... there is an even greater loss of storage space. I called StorQuests parent company William Warren of Los Angeles Ca. a management team member made a token offer of a price adjustment of 10% which results in my paying well above value for my 25% smaller unit. This company needs to conduct itself in an ethical manner. If you find you have leased a similar undersized unit at StorQuest Redmond, please contact the Washington office of Consumer Affairs, I spoke with them via phone and they are willing to open a case. Do not sign a lease until you have measured your unit!! read more
