Pinks Junk Removal

Pinks Junk Removal

This past Saturday morning, Pinks Junk Removal sent two stalwart movers, Jay and Theo, as…read morerequested. It was a superb experience. They called ahead to say they were on their way and showed up at the agreed upon time and got right to work. I had tried to clearly identify what junk and yard waste I wanted removed but due to old age, couldn't mark everything well. They walked the yard and garage with me to scope out what needecd to be done. They are clearly intelligent and cleaned it all up - even the non-marked stuff. There was no need for me to hover over their efforts. They quickly and efficiently loaded their truck to cart it all away. These two men were more than competent, strong, knowledgable (they informed me of the other services their company provides) and pleasant! I urge others to contact Pinks Junk Removal or Pinks Moving to help get ready for a relocation or major clean-up. The cost was reasonable and the service level is very high. - They are insured and bonded also. I plan on contacting them again for solutions and muscle. David O

My family & I were moving into our new home over a week ago & Pinks moving & storage was highly…read morerecommended for our future move by our realtor. We called them up immediately to get pricing, availability, answering questions, providing our inventory list, timeframe of move & so much more. The customer service over the phone & prompts of responses from our emails were amazing. On the day of our move we had a 3 men total to move all our belongings into a 26 inch moving truck. They were polite, respectful, handled our furniture & boxes w/ care & were quick. We do not recall our mover's name; 1 young man was short, very strong, organized, because we were impressed how he carried our heavy items w/ no problems. He told us he have been a mover all is life & definitely could tell. If any assistance was needed the other 2 mover's would call him over & or check in w/ another to ensure our was done properly. We will definitely recommend Pinks moving for moving services to all. Plus; you do not have to put a deposit down & can cancel your service w/o penalty. The company do not disconnect washer's or dryers so you would have to make sure that's completed ahead of time & hook them back up. A tip: ask for 1st time customer or home buying discount & if you pay w/ cash you would avoid the 5% credit card fee.

Never, ever consider this company for your move. You will be sorry you did. Would give zero stars…read moreif possible. When we finalized our plans to move from NY to North Carolina, we contacted a local mover (let's call him Bill), who we knew personally. He partnered with and recommended Muscular Moving for long distance moves. After our experience, I am sure even he is reconsidering his partnership with Muscular Moving. We arranged for Muscular to pick up our possessions on Friday August 14th. The night before pickup, the movers called us and stated they would be late as the truck broke down and would arrive early morning on Monday August 17th.. While not happy, we realized things happen, and since we weren't leaving NY until Wednesday the 19th, it gave us a few days to continue working to pack up our items. Monday the 17th we received a call at 745 am, fifteen minutes before their arrival time, telling us they would not arrive at our home until 11am. They finally showed up at 130pm. When the movers arrived, they quickly realized that nothing had been prepped; they were under the impression that our local mover had wrapped and prepped all the fragile items and Muscular would only need to load the truck and then leave. Well, Muscular Moving had never arranged for Bill to come in and prep everything. In fact, local mover Bill even called Kolby at Muscular Moving several times to offer his prep services before the Muscular pickup and Kolby turned him down. So after their arrival, the movers soon realized they would need to do everything, packing, wrapping and loading and then left for the evening around 7pm and the job, which was supposed to be finished on Monday, dragged on until 8pm Tuesday the 18th. Muscular then left NY and headed to NC, where they would put our items in storage for a week until we closed on our NC house. While in transit on August 19th, my wife and I received word from our NC builder that our new home closing would be delayed 3+ weeks until September 18th. On August 20th I informed Muscular that closing would be delayed 3 weeks and we would want our items delivered between 9/18 and 9/21. They finally delivered our items on 9/24. They had 3+ weeks to figure out the schedule to get us our items on time and they could not do it. Their own internal communication was horrible. Here is an example: On August 23rd, the night before the NC delivery, I received a call from the Muscular driver that he would be at our house at 8am the next morning with a crew to pick up our items and bring them to NY. I calmly explained that our items had come from NY and were in a storage unit in NC and the crew would need to go to the storage unit pick up our items and deliver them to our home in NC. I directed him to check with our move manager at Muscular so he could get the proper instructions. They arrived on 9/24 with many items missing Antique dresser / leg broken Cabinet / leg broken Vacuum cleaner / pole bent Glass top for coffee table smashed Several boxes of dishes / broken Curio shelf scratched Complete set of Corning ware/ all pieces smashed Missing pillows which belonged with our sofa Missing box of small tools Day bed had missing screws and bolts and could not be put together properly. Brass frame was scratched They apparently stored our items in a unit that was not climate controlled and all of our clothing and many of our other items smelled musty from the heat and humidity. When unpacking, we found glass shelves, which instead of being wrapped individually and then wrapped together, were just pressed together and wrapped as a stack. Major miracle that these shelves did not break. Even the unloading crew, which was different than the crew that loaded our items in NY, was astounded by the way our items were packed and treated. We are disgusted and upset that our possessions were treated in this way. Now we will need to go through their insurance which according to the previous poster, may not be worth our time. I want this company to step up and compensate us for our losses.
