This place is awesome!! Stopped in around 5pm on Sunday. Occupancy was moderate about 50%. First thing I noticed while being seated was everything was clean and in order. I had the impression the staff was happy to see me. Very communicative. Within seconds order for drinks were taken and waitress Peggy introduced herself. Within 6 minutes my order was placed. The food was delivered 11 minutes later. My first thought was 'would food had been microwaved'? Nope. Simply put, the boil was awesome. 2 crab clusters, 2 lobster tails, sausage, corn on cob, broccoli, and the shrimp were huge (15). The seasoning was so delicious I actually spooned it up to drip over my corn and broccoli. Its that good. This place will be a staple to visit when I go on vacation. Its that good. read more

We tried Storming Crab in Pigeon Forge and overall it was good. The seafood was fresh, came out hot, and the portions were generous. If you're craving the classic seafood boil experience -- bibs, gloves, messy table and all -- it definitely delivers. I ordered a less spicier seasoning, and while it had some heat, it wasn't quite as mild as I expected. The flavor was solid, just not as deep or punchy as other boils I've had. If you love strong spice, you may want to try the spice. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was fun and casual -- great for vacation vibes or a group dinner. I came here for the first time on vacation and the experience was great. The staff was very attentive and helpful at explaining how things work. One lunch special with a half pound of shrimp and a half pound of sausage plus a fried basket is plenty to share between two people. We both got the same thing and ended up taking a good amount home. We felt that the spice level wasn't as hot as we expected. I'm normally sweating at a medium and I would've been comfortable at a hot. My partner is normally at a hot and would've been happier a level up. The manager very kindly brought us over some hotter Cajun, garlic and old bay sauces to try so we know for next time. The shrimp basket was great and even though the lemon pepper fries didn't look like they had any seasoning, they were great! If you've never had a seafood boil and you're in the area, you should definitely check this place out. They have free parking and great hospitality. They also have cocktails. read more

One word... AMAZING! We stopped in the day we got into town and we were starving. We're both super picky when it comes to low country boils and Storming Crab didn't disappoint... We got every flavor for the sauce? Juice? Idk. Whatever you wanna call it lol. I will say the garlic was the best part. We got medium and wished we would have gotten hot or extra hot. The cheesy crab bread the server brought us at the beginning of our meal was awesome. Idk what the chunks of seasoning were in the bottom of our pan but I need a whole dish of just that to dip my stuff in lol. Definitely check it out if you're in the area!! This was one of the best seafood boils I've had! I got the dinner combo 4 with the Cajun seasoning and I liked that it wasn't too spicy. SO much flavor on each one and lots of meat. Some of the crawfish were quite small but the majority were normal sized. This combo fed two people so it was well worth it! read more

The food was delicious! I got 1/2 raw oyester they were super fresh! The service was great a small amount wait but that was to be expected we had a group of 9. Tried the Storming Crab on or trip last week. Inside is really cool- loved reading all the names and messages covering every wall. Our teens couldn't wait to add their own names! Our server was Delani and she was phenomenal! Happily explained how the boils work and how to order. Food was delicious hot and came out fairly fast! Delani saw our 13 year old struggling to crack his first crab legs ever and offered to teach him ( and us) the best ways to get those delectable big whole pieces of crab out!! We had to get a different server to bring our check. She needs additional training. The seafood was overcooked and swimming in too much butter. The restaurant was busy but not slammed. It is the only place in this county that has Alaskan King Crab Legs, and those legs were delicious. The staff was very friendly, and the service was fast. Most of the customers looked and acted as though they bonded out of jail that day. Not a safe feeling. The plentiful wall graffiti - encouraged by the staff - is very lower-class. Outstanding Experience! We had an absolutely incredible time at Storming Crab! The food was top-notch--fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. But what truly made our visit unforgettable was our server, Tiffany. She was amazing from start to finish: friendly, attentive, and so knowledgeable. She made us feel genuinely cared for and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Our kids absolutely loved her and so did we. They even took our photo at the table and gave us a keepsake photo to bring home. At the end of the meal they gave our kids something extra to remember their awesome time here. Came here with the family for my mom's birthday while vacationing in Pigeon Forge. It was noon and not busy, but they had only been open for a couple weeks. The decor was cute and you could write on the walls. Our server, Dre, was amazing. He went above and beyond with our 7 member table. The food was amazing and huge portions. The first batch of the seafood bread is complimentary, and we got an extra order. Try the bread, you won't regret it! We got the Family Combo and subbed the white clams for crawfish. We should have kept the clams because we didn't care for the crawfish. We also added extra lobster tails to the combo. All the seafood was cooked and hot when it came out. We took about half of it home to the cabin and reheated it, tasted just as good. We got fried okra to share and it was delicious. For my mom's birthday they brought out a cool lighted sign, sang, and gave her a free ice cream sundae with a sparkler in it. Dre was amazing and all the staff was so friendly. This is a great seafood restaurant in Pigeon Forge, TN. They have the best crab cakes I've ever eaten. We had these as an appetizer before we ordered our lunch. They were cooked to perfection. I had ordered fried shrimp and soft shell crab combo. They were also delicious. My daughter ordered shrimp and cod fish, she really enjoy both and said they were also delicious. Our server's name was Hawk, he was super friendly and explained the menu. We will ask for him next time we visit. The other staff was friendly and greeted us on arrival and again as we were leaving. Wanted to check out this place at 7 pm on a Thursday evening. When we walked in it was only about half full. We were seated and waited ab15 minutes and no one ever came to our table. We finally flagged down a waitress and asked if anyone was going to wait on us and she said she just found out we were there. Then she proceeded to have a conversation with two other servers about who was going to wait on us with no decision being made so we got up and walked out. We sat at the bar because we didn't want to wait an hour. Our server was slow to take our drink order. We then waited about 30 minutes for our orders to be taken. You get a lot for your money food wise, and prices are to be expected. The food was SO SALTY. It was almost unbearably salty. I would not recommend this place if you have blood pressure issues. read more

Unfortunately, I believe my Mom and I just had a bad experience personally when I am looking at these other reviews. We had a bubbly waiter, but he was involved in everything but serving us. They forgot about our appetizer completely until we reminded them, the appetizers are 100% not worth the money when you look at the amount you are given and our food was lukewarm at best. We also had to get up on our own to get any refills. Once our food was brought to us, we were completely forgotten about. The food was alright, but when crab legs get cold fast, it no longer comes out easily, and it is by far not as enjoyable of an experience. I am not sure my Mom and I would be willing to go back only because there are so many other restaurants in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg to try. I pray this business survives and thrives, however, we just did not have a good experience. The majority of the people that served that we saw also had really bad attitudes, but the interior was beautiful. (I have to note that we went at around 7 p.m., so it is possible that these individuals were just tired). read more
