absolute worst asparagus i have ever had, i'm not quite sure what exactly was in the scampi dish other than the shrimp, there was no garlic butter and no butter or sauce given or offered for the grilled shrimp. walked in and we were told there was a 40min wait. I checked the website and booked a reservation for less than 10min out. There were several vacant tables when we were seated (in the corner). It took over an hour from the time we were seated until we received our meals. Honestly I wouldn't recommend stopping here at this tourist spot, they can't handle the crowd. read more

Placed a to go order over the phone. My little girl wanted snow crabs and we are not much of a seafood family. Was told it should be ready in 10-20 minutes. Pulled up 20 minutes later and the order wasn't even put in. (Loss of a star) He put in my order immediately and food came out fairly quickly just as he said it would. The lobby was kind of awkwardly organized but it was clean. The dining room was also inviting for any seafood lover! Took the meal home and my daughter ended up letting her brothers try the crab as it was a HUGE entree and they all loved it. Looks like we will be seeing more seafood soon. read more

Would give negative stars. Husband picked up a king crab boil for me. Crab legs tasted like chemical and very dry. Came with one egg and a small red potato diced up. Took one bite and threw away. For $70. Then $16 for lobster tail that was shriveled up and the size of my thumb. I called for a refund and was told the GM would be notified. Called me back 2 hours later and said they could not give me a refund but could remake the food if I drive and picked it up.. 2 hours later... just put my toddler to bed and only here for vacation until 10 am tomorrow. This won't be pleasant! We came here specifically for one of the gals on our girls trip who wanted crab legs - craving them. Large restaurant with plenty of parking area, it had a waiting line, so must be good right? I ordered a dinner that included fish, crab cake, fried shrimp, and a bacon wrapped shrimp that had fries and a small coleslaw. Fish - hammered, and tasted like it had been sitting around. Crab cake - it was fried? No taste of crab, just fried filler. Popcorn shrimp - no complaints per se, just tasted like a frozen, pre breaded shrimp you can get from any food court. Bacon wrapped shrimp - best thing on the plate but the shrimp were overcooked. This meal was made even more dreadful considering the price! But the topping to this awful culinary experience was my friend's crab was so over cooked you had to literally peel the meat - in shreds mind you - to get it out because it adhered to the shell. Joe's Crab Shack should be ashamed serving it! It's in your name for heaven sakes! I begged her to send it back, but all the cooked items were just poorly done, we chalked it up to a very expensive lesson learned. The 2 star rating only took into consideration my meal and since I did eat the shrimp I added a star. We will not be back. read more

Came here with my family while on vacation. We were craving seafood. The wait was about an hour and 30 mins. The parking lot was packed. We figured at the time that we got there, other places were close to closing. So might as well wait. Our waiter Levi was great. Friendly and outgoing. My kids ordered a snow crab seafood boil and a burger. 2 of them had the seafood, my other child had a burger and fries. I had clam strips. It was really busy in there. The wait for the food was a bit long too. When we did finally get our food, mine was cold and asked Levi nicely to see if they can warm it up. He ended up putting another order in and my plate was hot and cooked when it came out. My kids loved theirs! Great family atmosphere if you like super loud restaurants. Great experience at a super busy touristy spot! Had to visit this Joe's while visiting for Christmas! Prepared for the worst, I called ahead only to find out no reservations were available. Decided to try my luck and roll the dice as a walk in. As a party of 4, two adults and two children, I wasn't hopeful but it was worth a try. After signing in with host we were given a 45 minute wait. You provide a cell and they text you when available. Super convenient. Don't go far however because hopefully you'll get lucky LIKE me and get called in about 15 minutes! Merry Christmas Cody! Service was phenomenal, our waitress was absolutely perfect. Extremely knowledgable and helpful with accommodating the kids! We ordered the Ragin' Cajun Steam Pot which paired nicely IMO with two spicy bloody marys! We visited Joe's Crab Shack on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, after a very long day at a cheer competition. Our group was a party of 25 -- and only 10 of those were adults. My family alone is a wild party of six. Usually for my daughter's cheer competitions, I travel alone, or if my husband joins us, two of our kids stay with grandparents -- one because she wants absolutely no part of the cheer world, and our sweet boy Madden is autistic and nonverbal. The world isn't always built for children like him, and doing something as simple as a weekend getaway can feel impossible. It's a hard reality for special needs parents. But this weekend, we decided to try. All four kids. New environment. Busy restaurant. I was nervous, honestly terrified, and almost backed out. By the time we arrived, the rest of our group was already seated -- one long table for the adults and another for the kids. And then came Conrad, our server... and the reason this night became something unforgettable. From the moment we sat down, he was on top of everything -- quick with our drinks, friendly, calm. But within a minute of getting our drinks, my husband knocked mine over. Before I could even get fully embarrassed, Conrad was right there insisting I stop cleaning because he's got it covered. Then came the search for the "golden crab," and... chaos. Kids looking under tables, drinks spilling everywhere -- one kid's drink, then a shark attack drink. Again, I jumped up to clean, and again Conrad swooped in, stopped me, and handled it. He even stood guard over the spill until he got a wet floor sign (kudos to him for following policy ). Despite the madness, he stayed cheerful, calm, and kept the atmosphere light. Meanwhile, I'm over there absolutely mortified -- former server here, so I know how rough nights like that can be! But this is where I need to truly highlight what made this experience extraordinary. Conrad never rushed us. He never cut corners. Every kid who ordered a shark attack drink got the full experience -- lights, excitement, the whole restaurant knowing. He poured into making the night special. Then, in a moment that meant more than he will ever know, I turned around and saw him kneeling beside my son at the kids' table. Interacting with him. Talking to him. Giving him little toys. He didn't stare. He didn't avoid him. He simply saw him. I nudged my husband and we both watched our boy stemming by flap his arms in pure excitement -- a moment we rarely get outside of home because we hardly ever go to sit down restaurants as a family. I don't even think Conrad realized we were watching. But I felt something lift off my chest... like for the first time in a long time, I could relax and enjoy an outing with friends and my whole family. A few minutes later he gently tapped my shoulder to ask about Madden. I started to give the usual "Yes, he's autistic and nonverbal," but that wasn't his question -- he wanted to make sure there was something on the menu Madden would like, and if not, he said he'd see what accommodations he could make. My heart absolutely melted. We stayed for a long time -- full chaos, noise, spills, laughter -- and Conrad never once lost his spark or smile. When one of the kids wanted pepperoni for her cheese pizza (which her mom informed her she ordered her cheese), he found a way to bring her a little bowl anyway. Her face lit up like Christmas and she told him he was the best. And then, as if he hadn't already gone above and beyond, he led the entire restaurant in singing happy birthday to one of the dads... telling everyone he was turning 15 so the kids could get a good laugh. I truly hope Conrad receives recognition for the way he cared for our wild party of 25. He made an enormous impact on this mama's heart -- especially as the mother of a sweet autistic boy. For the first time, I felt hope that Madden can be part of our family outings without the constant fear or overwhelm we've grown used to. Because of Conrad, this night became something more meaningful than dinner after a long day -- it became a moment of comfort, acceptance, and joy. Joe's Crab Shack... hold onto this one.
