We arrived about an hour before closing and we were able to order and be seated quickly. Service was very friendly and it gave off a very family-run restaurant atmosphere. No frills, just straight ol' good BBQ. The Sampler Dinner was a perfect choice and for the 2 of us was enough food to share. The pulled pork was absolutely the star of the show. In photos it looks kind of dry, but in person it was way more moist and wet. It didn't even need any sauce which is a great mark of fantastic pulled pork. The ribs were great as well. Tender and flavorful. I think they ran out of chicken and substituted it with what I believe was pork belly and that was also really great. The layer of fat was perfect to balance out the lean meat. The meat could have been more moist however, it was a tad dry. The sausage was just alright. And the brisket was definitely the most disappointing cut of meat. I will give Delauders the benefit of the doubt since we did arrive close to closing. The cut itself had little to no fat and so it was not just a lean bite but also pretty dry. I am glad we got off the main strip in Gatlinburg to head to Delauder's for dinner. I always seek out BBQ since we don't have a lot of great BBQ in SoCal and Delauders was just what I needed. Pulled pork was juicy and the bbq sauce on the table was not too sweet, perfect addition. The brisket could have been a little more moist, but it could be that we were there an hour before close. If you are looking for fancy digs, this is not it. But your belly will thank you. The ribs, brisket, sausage, fried macaroni and cheese, and potato salad were the tried items. They have soft drinks and iced tea (sweet and unsweet). No desserts were available, but I was told they generally offer banana pudding. They had a big catering event this day, so they weren't able to make it. The staff (also owners) were fantastic and friendly. Of note: there aren't many tables, but we didn't have a long wait. My husband said it's the best pulled pork sandwich ever! It wasn't fatty at all. It has a different twist with a special sweet habanero sauce that's a recipe unique to them. The lettuce on bbq was nothing like we've had before but the perfect touch. 10/10 recommend. My sister got the nachos & loved them. It was piled high & the tomatoes were so fresh. It looks like an auto shop/filling station. It is not flashy in hopes of drawing tourists in. Because frankly, they don't have to be. The food in this humble, no frills restaurant is so good that it packs people in. You order and then they call you to pick up your food at the counter. It's not often a place lives up to the Yelp hype, but Delauders met expectations and then some. I was in Gatlinburg for vacation with some families and we wanted some authentic, honest to goodness smoked BBQ and Delauders did not disappoint. We ordered a number of platters on the phone for pickup. I think our eyes were bigger than our stomachs as we couldn't finish everything we ordered, but leftovers made for a great addition to our breakfast. Everything from the pulled pork, pork ribs, brisket, and the sides were all juicy, full of smoke flavor, and most importantly wasn't already covered in BBQ sauce. No cheating here! Based on some of the recommendations here, we also tried the holy bologna sandwich. If you're a fan of grilled bologna, pulled pork, and an assortment of condiments that scream 'merica, then this is your jam. Coming from someone who has a smoker and two grills, Delauders is the real deal. I didn't want a tourist trap or a place posing as authentic, but Delauders hit all the marks.
