Decided to try Buddy's on our first night vacationing in Sevierville. Fantastic bbq and very reasonably priced. Ribs were some of the best I've had in recent memory. We're definitely eating here again before we head back home.

Bone in brisket sandwich
Gloria M.

Ordered a brisket sandwich. I have never had a bone in my brisket, ever, let alone on a sandwich. Not the greatest thing to bite into. Looks like a piece of pork rib bone to me. Didn't order pork. Extremely disappointed. When shown to management they took the "shrugged shoulders & oh well sh*t happens" attitude.

For the convenience of a drive thru & fast food kind of place. I really enjoyed it. The service was friendly & quick. My chicken was good. Not dry & I got the bbq on the side to dip. I liked both the regular & spicy. I surprisingly liked their coleslaw & baked beans. This is coming from someone who's traveled a lot of places & I feel like I've had the best of the best bbq. There are different levels to bbq lol & I don't have any complaints for this drive thru style. Take it for what it's worth & hopefully you get a good experience like I did. It reminds me of like a Lees Chicken but not lol. If you've ever had that.

Buddy's bar-b-q, Trio Beef Dinner. Comes with Brisket, Ribs, and Pulled Pork. Sides are hush puppies, coleslaw, and corn on the cob.

We have been coming to Pigeon Forge twice a year for several years and have passed by Buddy's bar-b-q and always wanted to stop in. We finally made the stop this trip. First, the pricing is affordable for BBQ. My wife and I got the Trio Beef Dinner to share. This came with sliced brisket, pulled pork, and two ribs. Sides were hush puppies, coleslaw, and corn on the cob The price with a drink was $22.89. Again, not bad for bbq. Now my review. We ate in. The place is very clean and respectable. Workers were great. For the food. The ribs were great! Great smoke flavor and really good tasting without any extra sauce added. Although, the sauce was really good too. The brisket, sliced really thin, had a very nice smoke ring, but was just kind of bland. I'm sorry to say this because it looked really good. It seems as to keep it moist after cooking, it was sliced and put in beef broth or another liquid to keep it from drying out. This pulled out any smoke flavor it had. I had to use the sauce to give it flavor. The pulled pork was the same as the brisket. It looked great but was bland and needed the sauce to give it flavor. The sides were all really good. I loved the coleslaw. We have been to several of the other bbq places around here that don't compare to Buddy's. Yes there were a couple of issues, but it was still worth the stop. One last thing. I was going to buy a tee shirt while we were here. I decided against it because all it said was Buddy's bar-b-q. You should really think about putting your logo on the shirt. You have a great logo. Show it off and also put under the logo Sevierville, TN. Just my two cents.

We've passed this place so many times heading to and from Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg , we now regret that , the food served here is absolutely delicious , as a good smoker myself I look forward to smoke rings and that smoke flavor and this did not disappoint on either the pulled pork we had gotten nor on the chicken, the Mac and Cheese is amazing and the baked beans, hush puppies were just average hush puppies , so NOT sleep on this place , the service was great and the folks at the counter were very polite and friendly , she absolutely loved the cole slaw and potato salad

BBQ is really good even kind of close to competition good. The brisket had good favor and a nice smoke ring. The chicken was good (they could have taken 6 Feathers's off before or after cooking) but it was still really good. The staff were very nice. The place was packed we did have to wait but it wasn't that long. We will be back

It took a bit for our server to come acknowledge us but once he did, he was very helpful and attentive. My boyfriend ordered a peach Kentucky mule (they originally said they couldn't make that, which we questioned with it being a distillery, but our server came back and said they could after all). He enjoyed it and said it's one of the better ones he's had! We both ordered smash burgers and sweet potato fries - I had the junction 35 (pimento cheese + bacon jam) and he had the farmhouse (bacon + fried egg). Both were amazing! Juicy burgers, perfect size patties for smash burgers, the buns were fresh and held up nicely, and the toppings were great. Sweet potato fries had a great crunch and were seasoned really well. Service was great, food was high quality and had great flavor, and the dog friendly patio was perfect for our pup. It's located in a nice little strip of shops and restaurants, and has a common area of cornhole and other games that would be fun for an activity before/after dinner, or if you have kids in tow. We'd definitely make another trip here when in the area.

We did get food with a smaller group. It took an hour to get our main meal and luckily we ordered appetizers to help with the wait. Both the fried pickles and brisket nachos were delicious. I ordered the shrimp and grips and it also did not disappoint. I would return on a non holiday weekend if I visit this town again.

Chubby's Restaurant - Smash Burger!!

Chubby's Restaurant

Chubby's is a classic restaurant that offers American comfort food. The great dinner feel of the…read moreplace is an excellent representation of the bygone era of the traditional dinner. It has a real down home feel. The place offers burgers (Mushroom Swiss, BBQ Burger), sandwiches (Cheesesteaks, Reuben, BLT, Chicken Sandwiches with Ranch/Buffalo options), and hearty baskets with fried chicken, cod, or shrimp, plus breakfast served all day, desserts (chocolate pie!), and options like pork chops or steak. They have someone thing for everyone. Everything is cooked to ordered. We started off with deep fried deviled eggs. My wife had the Beef Stroganoff. While I had the House Smash Burger. The stroganoff is served in a wide, shallow bowl that showcases the sauce's glossy sheen and the generous scatter of sautéed mushrooms. Steam carries a rounded, savory bouquet: beef-forward notes, toasty browned butter, and the faint acid of a finishing touch -- likely a splash of vinegar, wine, or lemon -- that hints the sauce will be bright rather than cloying. The presentation is simple and effective: no unnecessary frills, just clear evidence that plate composition exists to showcase the food's strengths. The sauce is the star: a glossy, velvety emulsion built on a brown stock backbone, enriched with sour cream (or a light cultured cream), and tempered with mustard and a touch of acidity. The mushrooms are properly caramelized, offering an earthy counterpoint and slight chew that complements the tender beef. Onions are present but not intrusive; garlic and a whisper of thyme or parsley frame the dish without flattening the primary flavors. Chubby's pairs the stroganoff with broad egg noodles -- they're al dente-yielding and capture the sauce in their folds, which makes each mouthful a composed, layered bite rather than separate elements awkwardly forced together. The Smash Burger was an equal masterpiece as well. In an era when burgers can feel formulaic and predictable, the SMASH Triple Burger with Chubby Sauce at Chubby's Restaurant stands out not just as a meal, but as a culinary statement, mine was constructed of three thin-pressed beef patties -- each seared to achieve that iconic lace of caramelization -- deliver an intoxicating aroma of grilled beef that primes the palate for something special. The smash technique here isn't a gimmick; it's a masterstroke that intensifies the beef's flavor while maintaining juiciness through every layer, a testament to precise heat management on the griddle. The Chubby Sauce, a house specialty that earns its name with rich, tangy complexity, serves as the burger's soul. It marries creamy umami with a whisper of sweetness and a balanced acidity that cuts through the savory heft of the triple stack. This sauce is not merely a condiment -- it's the architectural glue that binds texture and taste, elevating each bite into a chorus of complementary notes. What makes this experience remarkable was how it balances bold indulgence with thoughtful restraint: the trio of patties makes a statement, yet the burger never feels overwhelmingly heavy. Each layer interacts harmoniously, and the Chubby Sauce is nothing short of inspired -- tangy yet creamy, bold yet nuanced. We topped it all off with pie. My wife had the peanut butter while I opted for the Apple pie was our desert. Dessert at Chubby's often arrives with the quiet confidence of a house specialty, and the both the Apple & Peanut Butter Pie is no exception. If you think you've had every version of apple pie, this one will surprise you. Chubby's Apple Pie is warm, comforting, and brilliantly balanced. The apples are tender and spiced just right, the crust is buttery and flaky. The peanut butter pie has a subtle, savory richness that keeps the dessert from being overly sweet. It's indulgent without being heavy and memorable in the best way. An absolute must-order if you save room for dessert. This was a great dining experience and in a tourist dominated area, this place stands out as real down home cooking that your grandmother made. Highly recommend, this is one the most stop sites if you are in the area.

It had been awhile since we were there so I called to see an outside table was available. They told me probably in 10-15 minutes. Knowing we had been there earlier and we had dogs, they wouldn't hold it for us. Food was great. Their tenderloin could easily serve 4 people. The fried deviled eggs are excellent!

My husband and I came in around 7:45 on Saturday night, with our munchkins and greeted warmly and taken to a table right away. Our server asked if we had ever been to a Brazilian steak house because the concept was the same. There are two menus, one with all the apps and everything the other with salad and all the pizzas. They bring the appetizers to you and then bring pizza around. We chose the first one to try the wings, salad, bread and, meatballs. I have to say they were all amazing. No complaints. The wings were crispy and well sauced. We did the teriyaki and the lemon pepper and those were some of the best chicken wings I have had in a long time. Juicy, crunchy and, delicious. The salad was crispy and fresh. The meatballs had great flavor and the sauce was perfect for taking the bread and dunking and wiping your plate clean with it. The bread itself was crunchy and light at the same time. So so good. They brought around all different types of pizza. All fresh, all hot and from what I experienced delicious. I tried their margarita, the Hawaiian, pepperoni, calabresa and, stroganoff. Every single one was different but extremely good. The crush was lightly charred and yet still chewy and soft. Their dessert pizzas are amazing. My husband and I tried their brigadeiro, banoffee and, Nutella com Morgano. So, basically chocolate, upon chocolate with sprinkles, dulce du leche with bananas whipped cream and cinnamon and, Nutella and strawberries. I was I heaven. So good and just awesome. Personal favorite was the banoffee with the bananas and whipped cream. Pizza Rio takes the pizza buffet up not one notch but so many. It takes the idea of the pizza buffet that we know and elevates it to a different and almost glamorous level. You don't leave your seat. The pizza and sides are brought hot and delicious to you. It's taken the pizza buffet that we are used to and elevated it. It's a great place for a date or to impress family and friends with a fun and different place to eat with really good food.
