I may have stumbled upon my favorite Gatlinburg restaurant. This was the yummiest dinner I had the whole trip. The pulled pork and variety of sauces was so delicious! I had it on a sandwich with fries. My daughter got a kids meal free as a special they were running right now which we really appreciated! We got in quickly, had super quick service, and the food even arrived so quickly!!! Our server was awesome. We ended up buying a three pack of their sauces to take home for when we make pulled pork, and we also bought a funny t-shirt! I already can't wait to come back next time! Honestly five stars is not enough! We ate here on our last night in Gatlinburg. Started out with drinks. The got the Front Porch Tea and my husband had the Hurricane. It was one of the best drinks I have ever had!!!! Inside was really cozy and nice! Smelled great! We had a great server! We shared the Texan combo (5 meats), baked beans and fries. We got there like an hour before it closed. We ordered Texan Combo - it has all the 5 meats, bread, and 2 sides and bbq combo with 3 selections of meat (baby back ribs, burnt ends, and brisket) and 2 sides. For a party of 5 (including a little kid), the portion is more than enough. All the meat are juicy, soft, and super tasty. They were so good that I forgot to take a picture of each order. I did take a picture of the famous "pork rinds" - it's good too and comes with a special bbq sauce. Our server - old lady (with short, grey/white hair). She is awesome. Too bad I forgot her name. Stopped for dinner soon as we arrived. It has its own parking and is located on the road behind the strip. It's a BBQ place and a Pizza place combined in the same building. Bathroom was very clean. Staff was very nice. We ordered the appetizer sampler. Fried pickles ( a little greasy but good) lemon pepper wings ( smaller wings I ever seen) pork rinds ( they were ok) We both ordered the pulled pork BBQ with 2 sides. The pork was extremely dry and almost flaky? Unsure if it's was because they were slow being a weeknight and this wasn't really fresh. But there was zero moisture to it. She was very on her game and stayed on top of things even when our seats moved around a little (due to my 5yo niece wanting to sit by different people through the meal). That's about as straight forward as it can be, if you like deviled eggs, go for it. The chow chow condiment with it was such a good complement. The green beans were very watery and seemed like the canned kind, which in itself isn't a huge issue to me but wasn't very impressive. The restaurant has a typical BBQ joint feel with a diner-style atmosphere, and parking was easy, which was a plus. Our waitress was funny, friendly, and very attentive, checking on us multiple times throughout the meal. We ordered the sampler to get a taste of everything, but unfortunately, nothing really stood out. A lot of the meat was on the dry side, and we found ourselves relying heavily on the sauces to add flavor. The sides were a mixed bag--the green beans had an interesting pickled twist, and the coleslaw was fresh, but overall, the meal was underwhelming. If you're in Gatlinburg, you gotta stop here! My group of 9 came for a late lunch one day during our trip, per recommendation by our rental host. While it took a minute to get seated (just because things tend to move slower here it seems), we were greeted warmly and our drinks were brought out quickly. The place has a very cute, cabin/lodge feel to it, which fits in perfect with the Gatlinburg experience. Every table has extra barbecue sauce and napkins, meaning you can be as messy as you want while eating. My group split and order of the fried deviled eggs and pickle chips to start. Both were fantastic, but if you had to chose one, go for the fried deviled eggs. They were awesome and unlike anything you can get anywhere else! I personally got the baby back ribs for my entree with coleslaw and baked beans. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone finger-licking good and the coleslaw was surprisingly light and refreshing. The baked beans were probably made with brisket (at least that is my guess) which is a turn off for me. They were good but a little dry and didn't have enough bean flavor. Each entree also comes with a garlic biscuit, which are dense, flavorful, and oh so good. Everyone left this place full and very happy. No matter what you order you can't go wrong! read more

The potato salad tasted too much like mayo. Coleslaw was decent but too sweet. The rib meat was tough. The biscuits were OK but that will be the best thing you'll eat. In general the food was meh. Pretty delicious BBQ restaurant! For a highly touristy area, I didn't have very high expectations but I was pleasantly surprised. Their menu is full of all the typical BBQ favorites, as well as some unique sandwiches and entrees. I ordered the Spicy Brisket Sandwich and it was super delicious! The brisket was very tender, with a perfect amount of seasoning, fat, and charred edges. It didn't even need sauce, but it was even better with the honey BBQ sauce on the table. The sandwich also had green peppers, onions, and jalapeños grilled and placed on top with melted pepperjack cheese. Every bite was full of ingredients and flavorful! It also came with 2 sides, making the price a great deal for the amount of food. The potato salad was good, mainly egg and mayo-based. The macaroni and cheese was great, very cheesy and even better with some BBQ drizzled on top. Staffs are very friendly, checked up on us just enough and not too overwhelming. Thankfully, we found a street parking spot right in front. Bbq sauce is good Mac n cheese has little flavor and is not the good baked Mac n cheese. It's the fake saucy version. Collard Greens - had no flavor and was full of dry meat. Banana pudding is not the good homemade pudding your grandmother used to make. It is boxed pudding that is a terrible imposter for the real thing. The blackberry cobbler is the same... gelatin berries from a can with a lackluster crust. It's not very sweet and it feels slapped together. Maybe try somewhere else for a finger lickin' good experience all around. But do visit the bar! The nice guy working the bar earned this place an extra star!! He is the real star of this place. My husband and I had a late dinner in Gatlinburg the night before we left. At 9:30pm there was not a whole lot to choose from that we could walk to. We decided to head over to Bennett's Pit Bar-B-Que and see if they were still serving. The host went and asked if they could take one more party, and was told yes. He walked us to the back area and seated us. The restaurant was really eclectic in its appearance. It was like a log cabin with tables that had the red and white tablecloths. Our favorite parts of the decor were the old time signs on the wall with comic book characters and the ones with the lunchbox and thermos. Took us way back for sure! After about 7 minutes, I went to the counter and asked what time they would stop serving food. The guy told me they stopped at 10 and reassured me that someone would come and take our order. It took another 5 minutes before our server came back and said, "No one told me you were back here! I am SO sorry and I'm going to make sure I take good care of you." We had already chosen our meals so we gave her our drink orders and food orders at the same time. I ordered a lemonade, then ordered the Chicken Supreme sandwich with fries and coleslaw. My husband got an Arnold Palmer and went with the catfish dinner with fries and corn. Our server, Cristin, made good on her promise to take good care of us! She went and got our drinks immediately. She let us know that the fish would take 7 minutes to cook and we were okay with that. The food came out nice and hot. My husband tore into his catfish and said it was crunchy and very flavorful. He said the tartar sauce tasted homemade, but we did not get a chance to ask. My sandwich was delicious, and the fries were piping hot. The only thing I did not like so much was the coleslaw. It was very juicy - so much so that I had to shake each forkful before I ate it. I tried a couple of the barbecue sauces on my fries and they were very tasty. We also shared a blackberry cobbler topped with vanilla bean ice cream, which was very good. When Cristin brought the bill, she thanked us for staying and eating with them and she apologized again that no one told her we were in her back section. My recommendation? Definitely check this place out for yourself. Ask for Cristin as your server - she was excellent! Go earlier than 9:30 Don't get the coleslaw if you don't like it super juicy. So this was the Bennett's In Gatlinburg experience, so yes during slow season I know less staff I am a bartender as well but I was sat at a table and left with no one attending or greeting me so I asked if I could go to the bar they were super friendly everyone I interacted with but there was no bartender either but a server was sent over and made me a drink not exactly what the drink was supposed to be but none the less was good she just was inexperienced and trying o fill the request which I appreciate and thought was ok the food and service was friendly and food tasty I would give this another shot but seemed like they were winging it for the day which I happens i understand overall was good and not a bad experience read more

About a month ago my daughter and I traveled to Tennessee for a relaxing spring vacation. On so fathers awesome stops we made was to Bennett's. Every part of this restaurant experience was homey, delicious and just right. We had to get some bbq (obviously) while we were in town and we're just so happy we chose this awesome restaurant. We went for lunch and got the combo with brisket, sausage and burnt ends for a small upcharge. Everything was truly outstanding. There were all different types of sauces to choose from and my daughter and I both agreed the mustard sauce was the best. My wife and I were here for our anniversary and knew that Bennett's had reopened after some remodeling. Let me tell you they did not disappoint !! I ordered the 3 meat platter with ribs, brisket, burnt ends. coleslaw and mac and cheese My wife ordered the rib platter with mac and cheese and potato salad. Everything was cooked to perfection and was delivered within 8 minutes of us sitting down. Megan, our waitress, was extremely friendly, nice and answered all of our questions on the spot !! Crystal the manager came by our table and was a pleasure to speak with. On a side note, two months ago we were in Gatlinburg and took a trip over to Sevierville to eat BBQ at a restaurant that used to be in Gatlinburg and had moved to a new location. The Pork Family Feast was perfect for us, with tender pork that had a good amount of the fat rendered out without being dry. All of the sides were excellent too - sweet coleslaw, mustardy potato salad, creamy baked beans, and buttery biscuits. They included plenty of their house BBQ sauce, and while it was a ton of food for two of us, we enjoyed the leftovers for lunch the following day. This restaurant is located in front of the tram ride up to Ober Gatlinburg and is walkable from most of the Gatlinburg hotels. I had lunch there this week and was pleasantly surprised. From the lunch menu I chose the bbq chicken platter for $11 and the meal arrived quickly after ordering. Two leg quarters with my chosen side dishes of beans and potato salad with a biscuit. The food was excellent. This meal is served unusually with 2 leg quarters instead of a 1/2 bird with white meat but the chicken was delicious. Juicy and flavorful, I couldn't ask for more. The sauce on the chicken was excellent too. I also tried some of the honey bbq sauce on the side and loved that too. The beans were perfect. The savory sauce and content of beans and meat made me happy. The potato salad is a mix of mayo and mustard with big potato chunks and served cool. It was very good. I thoroughly enjoyed this meal taste wise and the table service was prompt and professional. At $11 it was a steal and being so filling made it a heckuva deal. Finally when the bill was presented I was brought a mint and a small matchbook of several toothpicks inside. Such a nice extra and what impressed me even more was that the toothpicks were high quality sturdy toothpicks and not those cheap flimsy type you get everywhere else.
