Front Porch Tea
Amy F.

Honestly five stars is not enough! We ate here on our last night in Gatlinburg. Started out with drinks. The got the Front Porch Tea and my husband had the Hurricane. It was one of the best drinks I have ever had!!!! Inside was really cozy and nice! Smelled great! We had a great server! We shared the Texan combo (5 meats), baked beans and fries. Everything was delicious! Fries were nice and crispy. Beans were sweet and seasoned well. I am not usually a pork fan (or meat for that matter) but the pulled pork and brisket were my favorites!!! They also have a really nice salad bar!

Long wait for generic food ... don't waste your time. 2 of 3 meals were wrong ... almost comfortable seats ...

Pork rinds

We got there like an hour before it closed. We ordered Texan Combo - it has all the 5 meats, bread, and 2 sides and bbq combo with 3 selections of meat (baby back ribs, burnt ends, and brisket) and 2 sides. For a party of 5 (including a little kid), the portion is more than enough. All the meat are juicy, soft, and super tasty. They were so good that I forgot to take a picture of each order. I did take a picture of the famous "pork rinds" - it's good too and comes with a special bbq sauce. Our server - old lady (with short, grey/white hair). She is awesome. Too bad I forgot her name. We would definitely come back again when we visit Gatlinburg. Ps: this place too give military discount.

Texan Sampler . Chicken wings were tiny. The deep fried deviled eggs had no flavor

Stopped for dinner soon as we arrived. It has its own parking and is located on the road behind the strip. It's a BBQ place and a Pizza place combined in the same building. Bathroom was very clean. Staff was very nice. We ordered the appetizer sampler. Fried pickles ( a little greasy but good) lemon pepper wings ( smaller wings I ever seen) pork rinds ( they were ok) We both ordered the pulled pork BBQ with 2 sides. The pork was extremely dry and almost flaky? Unsure if it's was because they were slow being a weeknight and this wasn't really fresh. But there was zero moisture to it. It's served unsauced so we loaded it with sauce it was still very hard to chew. We may try it next time during lunch or on a weekend.

Potato skins with small side of greens and Chow chow.

We ordered food for pick up to eat at the house we rented for the weekend in the mountains. The accessible parking was limited, since we were just picking up, my friend drove around a parking lot across the street while I went in to pick up. I ordered the potato skins with a side of greens and Chow chow. Potato skins: lots of flavor, very savory, would have been better with a spicy bbq sauce - but that's my taste. Greens and chow chow: just ok, the greens were a bit bland and the chow chow didn't have that pop of tangy/sweet combo you love with greens. Everyone in the group had solid meals. On a side note, the gentleman behind the bar where I picked up the food was super friendly and even offered me a drink while I waited. Although I declined, it was kind of him to ask!

Whoa. We had brisket and fried cod. It was fresh and hot. Also had collards, fried corn on the cob,(amazing). Drinks were ok. (Pricey). Server was exceptional. Very clean and pleasant surroundings. We would go back.

Bennett's was a short walk from the hotel and it didn't have a long line so we decided to check it out. I had the Spicy Brisket Philly with a side of Mac n Cheese and BBQ beans. The sandwich was outstanding. The sides were also delicious. Friendly and attentive service too. The restaurant was very clean and had plenty of seating. Great experience and I will definitely eat here again the next time I am in Gatlinburg.

Deep Fried Deviled Eggs

We easily got a table on a weeknight and got a preview of the food from the smell alone. First glance at the menu, I knew I had to have the deep fried deviled eggs. That's about as straight forward as it can be, if you like deviled eggs, go for it. The chow chow condiment with it was such a good complement. I got the honey bbq Jalapeño sausage sandwich, which came with 2 sides- i got green beans and mac and cheese. The sandwich was good and a big portion, with a surprising amount of heat to it. The sides were disappointing. The mac and cheese pasta was super soft and seemed overcooked- reminded me of KFC or Stouffers mac and cheese. The green beans were very watery and seemed like the canned kind, which in itself isn't a huge issue to me but wasn't very impressive. The service was great, I wish I could remember our server's name, she was great- attentive, helpful, and happy to joke around. The parking lot in the back made it very easy as well. Definitely a good place to stop by in Gatlinburg.

Lunch Platter with pulled pork, brisket, ribs, and sweet potato, baked beans
Christine D.

First time visitor and was pleasantly surprised by the options and flavors! We went for lunch and service was great and fast! I ordered the lunch platter with ribs, brisket, pulled pork and burnt ends ($3 up charge) and as for sides, I went with the green beans which were excellent also baked beans, another great flavor and sweet potatoes. It also comes with a biscuit, which was fresh! Restaurant is great for small or large parties and the overall ambience is a nice place to get barbecue right in town. Will definitely be back on the next trip

Full rack of ribs with coleslaw and mac and cheese

The service was a peach with southern hospitality ( i hope that means it was good.. sounded good in my head) went around 5, no wait needed. Was seated almost automatically. Cute lil tavern like place with a small parking lot in the back, although a bit a pain to get to since there is like 2 roads to get anywhere and it was located on one of em. Most of my loss of stars was to the food. Got an order of bristket, Full rack of ribs and the trail head combo. Brisket and rack of ribs looks decent but was very dry. Had to douse it with their bbq sauce ( which was good) their trail head combo was decent, a lil of everything , the only complaint is the wings are mighty small. Would I come back? Meh. Unless someone someone is eager to come here sure but I had better BBq else where .

This would be a 5 but the server was obviously sick and kept coughing. I am worried she was contaminating food she was touching. Portions were good for the price and restaurant was well themed. BBQ has good flavor, BBQ sauces on the table were super good and not overly sugary. My friend and I thought the portions were very large and we only ate about half of our meals even though we were very hungry. Good value for your dollar. Server was friendly, but again, she kept coughing all over everything. Very unappealing.

Baby Baby-Back Ribs with barbecue Bar-B-Que Beans and Coleslaw

If you're in Gatlinburg, you gotta stop here! My group of 9 came for a late lunch one day during our trip, per recommendation by our rental host. While it took a minute to get seated (just because things tend to move slower here it seems), we were greeted warmly and our drinks were brought out quickly. The place has a very cute, cabin/lodge feel to it, which fits in perfect with the Gatlinburg experience. Every table has extra barbecue sauce and napkins, meaning you can be as messy as you want while eating. My group split and order of the fried deviled eggs and pickle chips to start. Both were fantastic, but if you had to chose one, go for the fried deviled eggs. They were awesome and unlike anything you can get anywhere else! I personally got the baby back ribs for my entree with coleslaw and baked beans. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone finger-licking good and the coleslaw was surprisingly light and refreshing. The baked beans were probably made with brisket (at least that is my guess) which is a turn off for me. They were good but a little dry and didn't have enough bean flavor. Each entree also comes with a garlic biscuit, which are dense, flavorful, and oh so good. Everyone left this place full and very happy. No matter what you order you can't go wrong!

They were incredibly accommodating for our large group of 60. Very good service despite the fact that it was a busy night. It is definitely a barbecue place, decorated all in wood with accent pieces. The food was just ok. The half chicken was dry and the chicken wings were the smallest I had ever eaten. However, I would give it another chance. It might've just been an off night.

Not bad barbecue, not the best I've had but it was OK. Portions are very large and the price is a good.

We stopped for water (Aquafina) and I thanked the heavens above that it wasn't Dasani because, had it been, I would've died on that hill, literally! We stayed for the fans, the shade and eventually the food. The pulled pork on the cold, stiff bun was room temp with pockets of hot meat here and there. I used the spicy sauce and discarded the bun. It was okay. The green beans were lifeless and flavorless. I ate them because...nutrients?! P.S. The cashier was soliciting tips from the customers. I overheard another customer complaining about it and then I confirmed it with my husband, who had stood in line to pay. Apparently, it's a situation where you can tip on your card and that doesn't need to be pointed out, but the cashier was applying the pressure by asking folks outright if they would like to leave a tip. It was just slightly uncomfortable, and effective. Both my husband and the other customer who was complaining left a tip. You walk thru a deli-style line with a cafeteria tray, carrying your own food to the table, so.. there's that. P.S. The vistas are beautiful. Excellent backdrop for family or individual photos.

One of the people working there was kind enough to look at the ingredients and find out if any of my allergies were on it to make sure I could eat safely. Even though there was a language barrier, it was still very kind. Price point was fine. My meal with water to drink was just under $20.

They were a nice person, but they acted like they really wanted to be somewhere else. The tasting was rushed and messy. There was moonshine all over the counter. There were only three others at the bar other than myself and the in the distillery was slow. There was no pride in the product, the service, or business itself. The bartender reminded us several times that "this is not Sugarlands, you can drink when you want". It was excessive. The tasting ended abruptly when the bartender just walked away from the bar.
