We had an AMAZING dining experience and encourage you to experience Seasons 101 for yourself. We made a reservation online for a party of 4 and dined there on Sunday, Memorial Day weekend. We were greeted and seated promptly in a lovely little alcove near their patio, the perfect spot for old friends catching up. Our server, Olivia, was phenomenal, offering insight and recommendations into their seasonal menu items. We started with cocktails and appetizers. We loved the Roasted Beet Salad and Crab Bisque. Deee-licious! We then moved on to our entrees: Filet mignon (prepared Medium) w/caramelized onions & garlic mashed potatoes. The filets were seasoned and cooked perfectly - melt in your mouth, oh soooo good! Prime rib steak sandwich with caramelized onions & melt cheese. Opted for a side of grilled zucchini instead of fries. Also a big hit with our friend. I chose the night's feature dish of halibut and couscous. Nicely prepared and delicious. Though we didn't have room for dessert, once Olivia brought the dessert tray by, we quickly made room! My husband chose the Blueberry Bread Pudding. Of course I had to taste! I'm typically am not a fan of bread puddings due to being heavy and somewhat gummy! This one was absolutely light, and yummy allowing the blueberries to shine. Our friends shared the NY cheesecake with fresh strawberries. Also, light, fluffy and delicious! I chose the key lime pie with toasted coconut sprinkled on top. Incredibly good with light tartness though I prefer more tart. Still, it ranks up there as one of the best I've found. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the cocktails, food, ambiance, decor, and our server, Olivia. Ample portions, reasonable/comparable pricing, and delicious/creative menu. Bravo, Seasons 101! Bravo!! We came here for my friend's birthday! It was a party of 12 of us and we were seated in a back room. We were all seated and greeted and got our initial drink orders. The birthday girl was running a tad late (10mins) we decided to wait for her to order and sort of appetizers. I had a cucumber giblet off of the summer drinks menu. It was very refreshing and I enjoyed it, even though it's made with gin and I'm not the biggest gin fan. The table ordered a few appetizers and split amongst us all. I tried the Brussel sprouts and the fried artichoke hearts. They were both really good but wow, never had fried artichoke hearts and I LOVED those. I ordered the rack of lamb, but replaced the seasoned veggie with the wedge salad, which I had come out first. It was very delicious, but I wish it had a tad more blue cheese/ dressing on it. (It was very good, just a personal preference and the server was no where around to ask for more) I ate it how it was and it was very good. The lamb chops came with a mashed potatoes and I ordered them MR. They were so good! Juicy BUT they were not hot. We got there for a 6:15 reservation. We didn't get our food till close to 8:30. I understand having the food come out all at once, but to have dinner take 2 hours is insane. My food wasn't even hot, but I was so hungry I ate it without even saying anything. It was good but if they knew they needed everything done and something is cooked MR, maybe cook it towards the end. I ordered a 3rd drink but then everyone was done, and getting cleared, and I didn't see the server again. So I decided to go to the bar and cancel the drink myself. Over all, all the food was tasty, the service wasn't HORRIBLE, but they need stronger servers for larger parties and ones that are more attentive. The food was not hot, and we were there for 3 hours for this experience. If I ever go back. It will be alone or with one other person. There is no way I am having a dinner take 3 hours and have my food cold. I know it's standard for large parties, but gratitude was included, so make sure you are aware/ look to see on your check before you decide to leave even more. read more

DO NOT BRING A LARGE PARTY HERE. We came here for a 10 person bachelorette dinner, and the bride left in tears from how bad service was. I never really leave bad reviews, but I have to share our experience just so that way you can make an educated decision on if you want to dine here with a large party. Story time! Buckle up... it's a long one. We had a reservation for dinner at 7pm. Part of our party arrived, but most of party hadn't arrived yet by the reservation time. Since most of the party wasn't there, Seasons 101 canceled our reservation after 15 minutes. The rest of our party arrived at 7:17pm (they were having problems finding the entrance to the building). Being late is 100% our fault. However, they failed to communicate to the rest of the party that had arrived on-time about canceling our reservation. I am a little confused why they didn't ask the people who were waiting what the ETA of the rest of the group was. Even though we missed the reservation time, they still were able to accommodate our large party. If I only knew what was about to unfold. We were seated outside (without any menus), and two people from our party had to actually push the tables together themselves since the staff didn't. We looked online for the menu after about 20 minutes of not seeing a server. The server finally came with water for the table, and we quickly put in our drink orders. She scurried off, not to be seen again for another hour or so. The bride got up and went to the bar to get our party more waters since our server never came back to us. The bride had to do this multiple times through the night. Finally, the drinks arrive. They were pretty good! I got one of the seasonal drinks (pear ginger martini). Before our server can run off again, I ask her if she can bring us menus since there were 2 different ones on their website. We get brought the menus and wait another 40 minutes for the waitress to come back to place our order. About one hour after placing our whole food order, the appetizer soups come out to the two people who ordered them. Entrees followed, and they were ALL COLD. The food itself was yummy, but it was absolutely not worth the nearly 3 hours of waiting around for a cold entree. My Hunter's Platter consisted of Elk, Duck, and Lamb. I was 100% expecting more food since it was a platter and was $44, but it's ok. I was pretty over the whole experience at this point. We asked for the check with no splits (everything on one bill to make it easy) and explained that we were in a rush since we had a reservation for an activity coming up. We waited around a bit, but at this point we were tired of just waiting around. I got up after about 10 minutes of waiting and retrieved the check from our server. It may be a better experience for smaller parties or maybe even a date night. Personally, the service we received was horrendous. If they couldn't accommodate us, they should have told us that from the start. I would have HAPPILY gone ANYWHERE ELSE. Part of me thinks they knew they were going to get the automatic 20% large party service charge so they didn't care how they served us *sigh*. So moral of the story, don't come here unless you want to wait nearly 3 hours for a cold entree and ask for water refills at the bar yourself. read more

For example, my wife specifically asked for a recommendation, including insight on the sea bass, and our server failed to mention that it was breaded and pan fried, which is not typical for sea bass. There was nothing wrong with the service, which warm friendly and cordial, suitable to a restaurant in the south. Our table was excellent, tucked away in a windowed nook away from the noise of the area. The food was decent. The meal wasn't bad. There were a few nice notes. It wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible either. The biggest problem is no one in our party quite got what they expected, and the menu was misleading to the point of being deceptive. The sandwich menu listed the grilled chicken and the prime rib sandwich coming on ciabatta. This would be correct and appropriate, except it wasn't true. They both came on brioche like a hamburger. The grilled chicken wasn't grilled; it was pan fried, much to the chagrin of the person who ordered it wanting a lighter meal. The barramundi fillet didn't exactly say how it was prepared, and I should have asked, but it turned out to also be pan fried. Rather tasty, but not what I was expecting, and the treatment covered up the flavor of the fish unnecessarily. Most suspect of all was the fillet mignon didn't appear to be actual fillet mignon, but perhaps a piece of top sirloin cut in the shape of a filet mignon. It was tasty and well prepared for what it was, but some sawing was required to eat the stringy sirloin like steak that whatever it was just wasn't filet mignon. The diner had also expected "sautéed spinach" to be a side of spinach, and not a single wilted leaf as garnish. As a result, about half the sandwiches went uneaten. The grilled chicken that came as pan-fried chicken was too greasy for the diner, and the prime rib on brioche was soon a soggy unpalatable mess. The desert was fine. The soup was decent. The appetizers OK. Everyone was very impressed by the generous portions and thoughtful construction of the side salad, which seemed to be the best thing we were served. We've had far worse meals, but considering the price point this just wasn't cutting it. Mediocre with no attention to the details just isn't what you should be aiming for at a $50 a person restaurant (without drinks). read more

We are visiting the area and asked a local for restaurant recommendations. Jokingly, he told us we would be sending him Christmas cards in the future if we ate there. I have to say, he was right. From the moment we walked in, the service was impeccable, thank you Tina. The manager checked in on us as well. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. My husband had the filet and I had New Zealand almond encrusted rack of lamb. Both entrees were grilled to perfection. The rosemary red wine demi glaze on the filet and the mint Kentucky Bourbon sauce with raspberries was the perfect complement to each entree. It definitely fits with the style of the hotel. The staff was all incredible and honestly that is what sets it apart from a "nice restaurant." I'm pretty sure every person on the clock came over and visited us, thanked us for coming in and asked how everything was. Heck, a couple might have come in on their day off! top tier hospitality to go along with the rest of the experience. We cannot recommend this place enough!! For starters we were visiting the area and around dinner time we had walked into two other restaurants that had extremely long wait times (goat on the roof, and downtown flavortown) obviously the restaurants we were attempting to go to were massive tourist spots so naturally busy. We stumbled upon Seasons 101 by accident and wanted to give it a shot. Needless to say we are SO happy we did, from the drinks, to the apps, and dinner and the dessert it just can't beat. To start walking in this is a restaurant it is located in a really nice hotel. The area was very clean and had a great intimate feeling. We were greeted by our server (I am drawing a blank on his name and hopefully I can remember it so I can update this with his name because he was wonderful) he seated us in his section and right away had water and flat bread with a seasonal butter (can't stop thinking about it) he went over the menus with us and gave us great information on the restaurant and the chef. App- We ordered the Brie En Croute for an app and were blown away the flavors were so good we were already trying to figure out how in the world we can get this at home. Dinner- we ordered the Springer Mountain Chicken Breast and the Hunters Platter. Both dishes were everything and then some, the elk tenderloin was so tender it just melts in your mouth, duck and lamb were cooked to perfection! The chicken also was so soft and tender we couldn't believe it. Drinks- The Black cherry peppercorn Tom Collin's (highly recommend for anyone who enjoys a gin cocktail) and my husband was simple and just asked for a lager that they had on tap he took our servers recommendation and was very happy. Dessert- The one thing we didn't take a photo of but can't recommend it more if they have it on the menu. The Key lime pie. This was a perfect way to end the evening the pie itself is more cheesecake like with a perfect lime flavor not overly tart with toasted coconut on the top. We took this home to enjoy it and immediately felt sad that we live over 8 hours away and can't get it more often! The food at brunch was easily a 5. I ordered the Blue Crab Cakes Benedict which comes with breakfast potatoes. Upon being seated, a warm biscuit with delicious honey butter was brought to the table. The potatoes were the best I've had at a restaurant. They reminded me of these grilled potatoes my dad used to make. The portion of crab cakes and eggs was on the smaller side but very tasty. Service could have been greatly improved. My server came over and asked if I was ready to order. I had a menu question so I said, "Well..." and he immediately cut me off and said "ok, I'll come back" and walked away. I ordered hot tea and was not given cream and had to ask. My check was immediately brought with my food and I wasn't asked if I'd like anything else. It's not uncommon for me to eat a meal at a restaurant to try the food and then order something to-go for later if it's good. The service that other parties who were ordering alcohol received seemed totally different. One server sat down at a table at chatted. While that's a bit much, my particular server initiated conversation about local spots with another table. Just because I'm a single guest who is not ordering alcohol, I still expect the same level of friendly service. Before leaving, I tried to strike up a conversation by telling the server brunch was great and I was curious about how dinner was. He said, "dinner is a whole different story, I mean brunch is ok but dinner is excellent". I don't think disparaging the food is a good vibe, especially at a place that seems to be on the higher end. The hostess and one of the servers were having private conversations that could be overhead while I was waiting for a table. I'm unsure why there was a wait since most tables were open. The conversations centered round morning routines and having a morning smoke. Again, I don't think this fits the professional vibe of the restaurant. Overall, the food was so delicious, I wouldn't hesitate to go back. I do think certain servers/staff could use a reminder about quality hospitality. I saw and heard one server who seemed to be doing an excellent job. The runner who brought my food was also pleasant. We made a reservation after seeing lots of favorable online reviews to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Seasons 101 is located inside an old hotel in downtown Sevierville. We were greeted by the hostess and seated quickly. Our waiter was very good and made some suggestions about the menu. This menu changes with the seasons (hence the name). The meal begins with a very good flatbread and a garlic herb butter. We chose the Brussel Aglio E Olio (13.00), which were parmesan encrusted brussel sprouts, prosciutto with a garlic balsamic reduction. They also had some shaved parmesan on top. It was very flavorful and a nice potion serving. They could have cooked a little longer as some of them were still very raw/hard in the center, but I highly recommend them. I had the Bone in Porkloin ($26.00), which was a fire seared porkloin with a maple mustard glaze. Served with sautéed mushrooms and coriander & pimento cheese grits. The loin was cooked to perfection and a very generous portion. The maple mustard glaze was watery thin but very flavorful (a thicker actual glaze would have been better). But that's where the good ends. It was served on top of some very disappointing, overcooked, extra limp asparagus, which had very little flavor. They would have been better if they were seared on the grill (or wrapped in bacon), but all I got was limp, overcooked, and bland. I guess there was some hint of pimento in the pimento cheese grits, but it was not found. The maple glaze was very thin and had seeped into the grits, so i wouldn't be surprised if they were in reality, just plain grits with maple glaze leaked into it. My wife had the Spring Primavera Pasta ($28.00) which had a flavorful chicken breast, baby carrots, the same disappointing overcooked asparagus, tomatoes, pearl onions, roasted red peppers, sun dried tomato pesto, cream sauce, fettuccine, and parmesean shards. Can I just leave it saying that the chicken was flavorful, but the rest was a bowl of disappointment? It may have not been to our personal taste, but we just didn't care for it. I don't remember it having any baby carrots although it was listed on the menu. Overall the meal was okay, nice ambiance, but for +/- $90.00 including the tip, I think I will go somewhere else next time. read more

I was there for Sunday brunch and at the end of our dining, our server Larry said that they were very short staffed for the day--I had to get up 3 times through out the meal with my family, once to let them know that my grown son never received his side for his entree ( I waited at the table to let him know but after over 15 minutes of receiving our meal there was no check back on us so I got up and went to the bar to let someone know. The second time was to request refills on our drinks and this was 30 minutes past the drop off time of our entrees. The third time was to let the server know that my drink refill was not sprite, tasted awful like tonic water but evidently the sprite had ran out and needed to be changed. He then brought out check without asking if we was interested in desserts which we all did order. I just asked if they didn't have desserts when he went to leave the check. We ordered appetizer, 4 meals, and 3 desserts, 4 beverages. So the food and ambiance was OVER THE TOP EXPERIENCE, the service was that of the Waffle House on drunk night, lol. He was friendly just left a lot to be desired on our special celebration as far as being our server. And this was our first trip there. So I definitely recommend this place and hopefully you don't have to get up and wait on yourself. read more

Seasons 101 - A Mixed Bag in Sevierville Overall Rating: 3/5 Stars My recent visit to Seasons 101 in Sevierville left me with decidedly mixed feelings. While some aspects of the experience were genuinely fantastic, several key issues made the meal less enjoyable than it could have been. The Experience We arrived with reservations but still had a 20-minute wait before being seated--a bit frustrating, but not the end of the world. The atmosphere itself was great: cozy, upscale, and inviting. However, the seating was very tight, making it feel quite crowded. Also, be prepared for a bathroom line, as there are only two single restrooms for the whole restaurant. Parking is also limited, so plan accordingly. The Service & Menu The table service was great; our server was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The menu is limited, which I don't mind if the focus is on quality. The prices were fair for the type of establishment. The Food This is where the experience really diverged: * The Steak (Disappointment): My steak was cooked excellently--perfectly medium-rare--but the flavor was completely overwhelmingly ruined by a strong coffee flavor. It made an otherwise great piece of meat difficult to eat. * Calamari Appetizer (Winner!): The calamari was wonderful--tender, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. Highly recommended. * Hunter's Platter (Mediocre): This dish was unfortunately forgettable and just mediocre overall especially the high expectations I had for it based on the menu description. * Hand-Breaded Tenders for Kids (Huge Hit!): The kids' chicken tenders were a definite winner and tasted freshly made. * Plate Presentation: The visual appeal was so-so; they definitely weren't winning any awards for plating. Summary Seasons 101 has the potential to be truly excellent. They clearly have a talented chef (the calamari and steak cooking temp prove that) and the dining room staff is wonderful. However, the tight seating, long wait with reservations, and a few specific dish failures (especially the overpowering coffee flavor on the steak) held it back. This gives the staff time to make sure your group is accommodated and well served. Staff here is very accommodating as to food preferences and was very friendly and did not disappoint. This is an upscale place with a relax dress code, so come in and unwind, relax and enjoy some delicious food and drinks. Price per portion size is very good, food is cooked fresh to order and it very favorable. Our servers were always there to make sure we all had a great time. The rooftop was breathtaking, the views at dusk with the colors fading behind the mountains is incomparable. We sat at them bar at first and had a delicious seasonal cocktail, i had the blackberry jalapeño margarita, my friends had an old fashioned and cucumber-infused gin and tonic. They were lovely. We then got sat when our other 2 friends arrived and ended up sharing 5 appetizers between us bc we just couldn't choose. It ended up being the best decision of the night! Some of the best Brussels sprouts I've ever had! The burrata was incredible, the flash fried artichoke hearts and creamy Alfredo sauce dip was so unique and delicious. The calamari and Brie were also yummy, next time i need to try the seared tuna! Was soo full but managed to fit a couple bites of the ribeye (delectable, incredible) and the lamb chops. My SIL found this restaurant while searching for vegan and vegetarian options in the area. And was it a FIND! We were celebrating my in-laws 75th birthdays and the restaurant was super accommodating and gave us a private room. The cocktails were amazing and the food was too. Unique flavors and a beautiful presentation. Every single dish we ordered was perfection - fish, steak, burger, pasta, vegetarian options. Even though we were full from our meal the dessert board was too tempting. Do yourself a favor - get the key lime pie! Service was outstanding as well. Omg I can't say enough about our server Victoria. She was on point from the time she got seated till the goodbye hope to see you again.
