I am shocked that this restaurant only has an average 3-star rating. It is a casual, pub-like dining experience, which I love, with outrageously good food and stellar service. After joining the waitlist online before driving to the restaurant, we were seated immediately upon arrival at a high top in the bar area. I enjoyed the chill vibe. Our server was attentive, friendly, and helpful. I ordered the Hawaiian Ribeye. Our server said it was his favorite thing on the menu and I could see why. The steak was cooked perfectly. It was marinated in pineapple ginger sauce and then basted with teriyaki. It was absolutely juicy and delicious. I highly recommend this steak, which rivals the steaks at any of those over-priced steakhouses. The steak came with a salad and I chose the house lemon dressing. I continue to dream about this creamy, slightly salty dressing. They should definitely bottle it and sell it! I chose a baked sweet potato for a side and it was huge and unfortunately not cooked through, but I enjoyed the fully cooked parts. My husband ordered the Killin Me Burger, a full pound of meat with onion straws and thousand Island dressing on a brioche bun. He said it was the best burger he's ever had and my man knows his burgers! The bun was struggling, so my only suggestion is a sturdier bun. A really magnificent meal at a fun place! We always loved JT Hannah's. We had a rough patch there for some visits a few years ago. I think it was particular individuals who were working there at the time. Anyway, we gave it another try recently because we had always loved it so much. Chloe was our server and she redeemed JT Hannah's for us. We had been looking at the French Dip, but Chloe recommended doing the Philly Cheesesteak instead while deleting the green peppers and substituting jalapeños. Then, order the consummé for dipping. What a delicious idea! The sandwich was EXCELLENT with the consummé and the side of horseradish! The Buffalo Chips were a tasty side. The restaurant is always a fun atmosphere with the rustic decor. This is a neat restaurant on the main road in Pigeon Forge. I came here with a friend for dinner while we were in town checking out Dollywood. The space is nice and there's a good number of items on the menu. I liked my sandwich! Well made and the bread was nice and crispy. The service wasn't the best, though, as our waitress was super pushy. Also, the silverware all came dirty - and not just stained, we could physically pick food off of the knives. It's been over two years since we've been to JT Hannah's. The last visit was a continuation of the downward spiral we had been noticing. We had given up. We decided on a whim to try it tonight. It was busy... 30-45 minute wait. We waited and watched people enjoying their food. Birthday celebration going on, so there was a lot of happy noisiness. We were seated and Chloe quickly came to our table. We had waters and then decided to order. We told her about our last visit so she started giving us her favorite meal. She substitutes jalapenos for the green peppers in the French dip and adds a side of au jus. Sounded great! We ordered a side of buffalo chips. Chloe KNOWS her food!!! It was excellent! We went around 5 PM on a Saturday evening and was seated right away! Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We got the J.T. Hannah's Sampler for an appetizer! It was so much food I should've stopped there! It had cheese quesadillas, loaded potato skins, Buffalo Chips which are potato chips, chips and cheese and onion rings! Yum! For my entree I had the hot hammy Sammy with a side salad! The side salad is a pretty good size salad! The sandwich was delicious! My partner had a cheeseburger with a side of potato salad. We came here and had no idea why it wasn't more crowded 'cause the food was delicious. So you come in and the place feels like a Cracker Barrel, homey and there are old fashioned things all over the walls. As for the service mmm y'all could do better. Considering it was NOT crowded, we had to wait quite a while for service after we were seated. Went later in the evening on a Friday a group of three were at immediately One thing we noticed right away that they were opened after 10 o'clock, which was really good because everything closes early We started off with the spinach, artichoke dip and fried pickles The spinach and artichoke dip is served in a bread bowl and it was delicious and creamy and cheesy one of the best ones we've had so far. The fried pickles were super salty, but crunchy and crispy, which is hard to find. We had a ribeye steak, half rack of ribs with the Fixins. The ribs were decent could've used more sauce. The steak was cooked to perfection. Nice intended, easy to cut through and not too chewy. I believe our server's name was Robyn. SO good! This was our first time eating here and we're so glad we decided to give it a try. One of the only places I've ordered chicken parm and haven't had to substitute spaghetti with marinara with Alfredo... it comes that way already. Teriyaki was unique. Best tasting food all week! Every restaurant near me y seemed to be packed! We crossed the street and found this restaurant almost empty!!!!! Had tons of coupon books and other advertisements for the area so nice stop for our first day in the area. While I wouldn't say it was totally worth the early alarm, the breakfast itself was solid and felt like part of the classic Pigeon Forge experience. The pancakes were tasty--fluffy and just sweet enough--and the sausage was especially good, with that savory, well-seasoned flavor you hope for in a Southern breakfast. This place is not what it use to be. We have been coming to the car shows for years and always eat at JT Hannah's - the food use to be amazing and the atmosphere was great - for some reason every year the food gets worse now. Yesterday we ate there and everything was over cooked and tasted like it was deep fried in the same old oil. We ordered the steak - it was disgusting, the chicken tenders they were burnt to a crisp and had a sampler platter that the entire plate tasted exactly the same - burnt oil taste like really bad bar food. Great location, cool place but it was not busy at all like it use to be and now I know why - the food is just horrible anymore - really a shame because we always looked forward to it but we won't be back after yesterday. We were in the area for 3 days and are here 3 times. With all of the options, that should tell you how much we liked the food. With that being said, had the experience of our last visit happened on our first, we wouldn't have come back. The food was 10/10 for the most part. I did have the cheeseburger and it left a lot to be desired. I'm not sure if it was me or if it was just not good but I didn't love it. We loved the buffalo chips and this is what had us coming back. We had them all 3 times. I also had the chicken Parmesan and the chicken Alfredo-both good. My husband had the country fried steak and got the Sammy's Hammy the other 2 times. What made it so I wouldn't come back? Our serving staff was amazing. We had Jesus the first night and Carlos the second. Our best server though I didn't get her name!! She was in the bar on Friday evening and was super attentive. With that being said, the welcome staff..or front house staff was awful. They were rude, clearly bored and definitely didn't not wasn't to be there. We nearly walked out the last night after I watched one drop the napkin and silverware on the floor, pick it up, roll it back up tight and put it back in the shelf to give to another patron. Overall we had a nice family dinner at JT Hannah's kitchen. We were seated almost immediately and Kyle, our server quickly took our drink orders and as he was leaving to put our order, he suggested the spinach dip appetizer. We added that to our order. Kyle returned shortly with our drinks. And then the wait began. After about 20-25 minutes,Kyle noticed our appetizer hadn't arrived and he disappeared to investigate why it was taking so long to get our spinach dip. He finally returned 5-10 minutes later with our appetizer in hand. He apologized and said another table must have gotten our spinach dip. The spinach dip itself was well presented in a sourdough bowl with tortilla chips. We quickly devoured the tasty appetizer and then had to wait another 10-15 minutes for our dinner to arrive. My daughter ordered the kids cheeseburger and fries. Both my wife and I noted the skimpy portion of fries. My wife ordered the Smoky Mountain Cobb salad. Kyle told my wife the house dressing was terrible and recommended she order her favorite dressing. I had the fried chicken dinner.
