The Gatlinburg H.

As a content creator here in Gatlinburg, The Gatlinburg Hussey, We had an absolute blast and Brooklyn was so incredibly nice and fun to be with during our visit. I brought my friends from Portsmouth RI here and they absolutely loved Brooklyn, the shop and they'll definitely be back ..Remember, when you visit, ask for Brooklyn !

A fun shirt that I got there tonight!!!

This is my favorite distillery in TN hands down! The best moonshine ever! Also with the friendliest staff ever! The service is impeccable by any others Ive ever encountered! Fun atmosphere with a moonshine, Rum and Cream liqueur tasting stations! They also have a great indoor bar serving up some delicious cocktails and during the summer they sometimes have an outdoor bar as well!!!

Sitting outside and enjoying these delicious Old Fashioned's on this beautiful Friday evening in the Smoky Mountains. Great bartenders too!

P'gin Fizz!

Tastings of moonshine and creams! Awesome. Got ourselves a p'gin fizz ahead of dinner at the Mill next door! Plenty of souvenirs to buy (we got the funny coasters, maybe the p'gin fizz working on us!!) Nice establishment off the beaten path. Check it out!!

Lots of distilleries in Tn but this one was so cute and smelled wonderful. We tried the cocktails and it was great especially for the price. I loved how the bartenders provided suggestions for folks depending on the percentage of alcohol, flavor profile and what they are lol. Fun times at Old Forge!

Free tastings of various flavors of moonshine and creams. We've stopped at a few of these throughout our trip and they're always enjoyable. It's interesting to taste the variety of flavors they come up with. You have to show an id, no matter your age. Please leave a tip, since there's no charge for the tastings.

There seem to be a distillery on every corner of this area and this was on our walking path so we stopped in. They had a lot of different flavors on the moonshine and I think I liked the peach the best. They also had a bunch of merchandise so I picked up something that was there but didn't buy any shine.

Free moonshine tasters

This is a must when in the area, because how can you not. This has to be one of our best highlights of our recent trip to smoky mountains! Tasters? Yes!!... Let me rephrase .... FREe Tasters for days!!! Brian? I think... Was awesome .. energetic, with tons of fun related jokes and facts about the distillery and its spirits. cant wait to visit again when in the area. As if one tasting station wasnt enough., They had multiple stations throughout the distillery. And cool little items for souvenirs. the other stations had small fees. One minor thing...wish they had travel friendly little samplers for sale. Would totally have bought them!! Thank you again for the awesome samples, outstanding customer service and delicious moonshine!

Visited Old Forge Distillery to taste their moonshine and visit the cocktail bar. Tasting were complimentary, but tips are of course appreciated (if you don't have cash for a tip, you can use Venmo). After showing our ID (no ID = no tasting), we received 10 super mini cups for a tasting. Choose wisely as there are 24 to choose from! Pours are definitely generous, so don't let those small cups fool you. Favorites included apple pie, banana foster, blackberry, and vanilla bean. The individual pouring for us was fantastic. Super friendly and knowledgeable. You could tell he really enjoys what he does and made our experience that much better. After purchasing and a couple moonshines and moonshine cherries, we visited the cocktail bar. The bar is pretty small, but there is a decent amount of seating (tables and lounge seating). Order your drink with the friendly bartender and grab it when it's ready. All cocktails (signature and Southern) are $10, which is nice. As with the moonshine tastings, you can also tip your bartender through Venmo.

Rob was awesome!!! you have to go to Old Forge Distillery! He'll treat you right! We tried the Bananas Foster, a Cherry Cola, caramel and pumpkin, blackberry lemonade! All were delicious!

It took a bit for our server to come acknowledge us but once he did, he was very helpful and attentive. My boyfriend ordered a peach Kentucky mule (they originally said they couldn't make that, which we questioned with it being a distillery, but our server came back and said they could after all). He enjoyed it and said it's one of the better ones he's had! We both ordered smash burgers and sweet potato fries - I had the junction 35 (pimento cheese + bacon jam) and he had the farmhouse (bacon + fried egg). Both were amazing! Juicy burgers, perfect size patties for smash burgers, the buns were fresh and held up nicely, and the toppings were great. Sweet potato fries had a great crunch and were seasoned really well. Service was great, food was high quality and had great flavor, and the dog friendly patio was perfect for our pup. It's located in a nice little strip of shops and restaurants, and has a common area of cornhole and other games that would be fun for an activity before/after dinner, or if you have kids in tow. We'd definitely make another trip here when in the area.

The grits and biscuits were standout and the jelly selections (blackberry and pepper) were great. The other breakfast fare was okay. The servers (Amanda, Teresa, Blakelyn (sp), Dan, the young lady Amanda was training)), the hostesses, the chefs were all so congenial and obliging. Nothing at dinner was memorable other than the pickled vegetables with the chicken wings. That was down right phenomenal and will be replicated at home.

We've always felt welcomed, seen, and loved by every (and many) Dollywood employee we've come across, with the only exception being the one of the 2 hostesses at the stand upon entry to Ember and Elm. Nothing abrupt, just tone and expressions whilst we waited for our table to be ready. Beyond the host stand, you're greeted by incredibly precise design--modern meets Smoky Mountain charm. Chatters of conversations all around you, but well insulated for sound absorption--great work on this! Our server was first visit was Alice and she was an absolute joy and extremely friendly and punctual--even with a full table section. We ordered to go our second time visiting due to the lack of availability (no complaints and not surprised!). We look forward to exploring more of your food selections and other dining options as we renew our passes this fall season!

With a cool interior design, Paloma offers some delicious Mexican food. To start, I had the Paloma Guacamole, fresh and tasty. They give you the choice of blue or yellow corn tortillas, which you can taste and are freshly made. I also tried their white sangria, which was refreshing and delicious. I had their Yuca Fries and a Pork Carnitas Taco. Their food was delicious and had great flavor; however, I found their prices a bit steep, $6 for a single taco was kind of wild to me. Overall, Paloma was good. The service was kind and the food was good.

It wasn't that busy but the 3 workers were running around...I mean 3 seated tables! Eventually, our order was taken (also breakfast). We asked 3 times for extra cream for the coffee. The coffee arrived after the food without extra cream. Wife likes a lot - we let it go. I specifically asked for no syrup on my french toast. Well, you probably know what happened here - syrup on the french toast. We did mention the syrup and the server offered to change it and claimed he/she did submit our request. I declined...I used to work in the food business and it's burned in to my brain to not send food back. The food was pretty good and the server was trying but seemed overwhelmed.

Our table provided a scenic overlook through the trees. I wish that I remembered our waiter's name, but he was phenomenal and extremely knowledgeable. (I do remember he was from Southern Indiana). My wife had the petit 7-ounce filet (wet-aged Iowa Premium USDA beef tenderloin, center cut, fresh-cracked black pepper and kosher salt) and a Caesar Salad. Her steak was cooked perfectly and she really enjoyed her Caesar salad and the twice baked potato as her side. I had the New York Strip (dry-aged Iowa Premium USDA prime short loin with the bone. Fresh-cracked black pepper and kosher salt), and a chopped salad (chopped baby greens, tomato, pickled onion, artichokes, cucumbers, hard boiled eggs and citrus herb vinaigrette.) The steak melted in your mouth and the salad was fresh with a delicious citrus herb vinaigrette dressing. My side was the asparagus which again, was very delicious and cooked perfectly (I could have had another serving!) They also served some very tasty hot and buttery spoon bread which was very close to the original recipe that was created near my home in Berea, KY. Between the salad and the main course, we were served a lemon sorbet as a pallet cleanser. For dessert, my wife had the crème brûlée and I had the butterscotch budino. Both were very tasty, but personally for me, the butterscotch budino was a tad better -- but you cannot go wrong with either. We don't drink, but there was a great wine menu and over 100 different bourbon selections. We will definitely return again. Reservations are highly recommended!
