Shine girls moonshine. And some gift items.

We had the best time there today. Danielle's nephew was our host and he was awesome. Houston gave us samples and then told jokes and knew all about different states and made feel at home! The other customers were super fun too! Worth the stop. We will definitely go back.

We may have walked in being tourists, but left feeling like friends of Houston & Kaylee at Shine Girl Distillery. Of course our Golden Retriever, Bear, made new life long friends. When we travel, we want to be more a part of the local vs tourist community and today's stop did not disappoint. The bonus today was being able to also support a strong woman which Danielle Parton certainly is. Thank you Danielle for your service to the US as a combat veteran. We think this is our 1st moonshine tasting experience and we are really glad we started here. Houston & Kaylee listens to their patrons to determine what to serve. I certainly had to leave with some SG Red Velvet Moonshine so I can serve my lady friends a 'Sexy Girl' on our new entertaining patio space back home. We hope Shine Girl Distillery continues your 'Shine'.

The bar! It's great.

Our first stop here. We loved it. Wanted to make a stop here just to see and taste the offerings. We had a blast. Cathy took such excellent care of us too. The tasting was great. Shine Girl has a nice variety of exceptional shine flavors plus their take on Rum and Vodka. Nothing but great atmosphere and flavors. We also tried some of their signature cocktails: the Shine-a-Rita - Cathy's way; the Stubborn Mule and the New Fashioned! Loved them all! Of course we left with some bottles and merch, because we could! The vibe and hospitality here is off-the-hook. Do stop in if you're in town. We'll be back when we come this way again in the summer!

Off the beaten path with unique moonshine flavors that you won't find anywhere else. Their cocktails are reasonably priced and tasty. The bartender is friendly and helpful if you're undecided. The place itself is pristine and charming.

I wasn't impressed too much. I expected moonshine and it was all different vodkas. The bar drinks were good and very friendly service but just not a fan of vodka. The stars are for the service and the bar not the alcohol.

Great little find! Such a gorgeous, well thought out space. Absolutely LOVE the pink! We walked in and were greeted by the nicest people! We were offered a free moonshine tasting... who can say no to free?! Of course we couldn't! We were given so many flavors! Can I remember how many?! I blame the moonshine, but it was about 9 flavors. The coconut and red velvet moonshine flavors were my favorite! Not only can you try the flavors straight up, you can order cocktails. We ordered cocktails post samples and they were fabulous!! Everything was way too cute, so had to shop it up! Got a few shirts, coffee mug, and moonshine. Winning!!

Lovely spin on moonshine flavors that aren't similar to the other distilleries. Purchased a few bottles so friends back home can sample and hopefully visit when they go to Tennessee.

The best two favors IMO

Such a hidden gem in the Smoky Mountain area with a great story! I love the concept of "girly moonshine" and that concept carried through to the space! The flavors are unique and exciting. The sampling is free and the moonshine is smooth and delicious. You can also get cocktails while there.

With both the moon shine tasting and the moon shine cream tasting, each person doing the tastings had good information for each flavor we chose. So the staff were very knowledgeable in the product. I saw a shirt I wanted and they didn't have my size so I went with my second opinion and the guy at the counter gave me a discount because they didn't have my first opt available. Very friendly and great customer service. And you can't go wrong with moon shine.

When you want to get drunk, but you also need your drink to look electric blue and taste like raspberry, you come here. I'm not the biggest fan of sweet drinks in general, and especially not sweet alcohol. But I wasn't about to pass up an opportunity to taste some of Old Forge Distillery's moonshine and gin. They also make vodka, whiskey and rum. The gin was good! It doesn't taste like traditional gin, because they age it in bourbon barrels, so it has a little bit of a caramel taste to it. (In my opinion.) The moonshine and the cream liqueurs are where you will find the crazy flavors. I think my favorite was the coffee moonshine, which tastes like a wonderfully spiked black coffee. Samples are plentiful. The bartender told us which ones were crowd favorites, and also recommended some that I would not have picked myself. They also have a huge gift shop with lots of tchotchkes, plus bottles of their goods to take home with you.

If you're a fan of…read morebourbon or distilled spirits in general, do yourself a favor and put this spot on your must-visit list. They have something for everyone, from those just beginning their spirits journey to seasoned bourbon lovers looking for their next great find. Let's get one thing out of the way: they don't serve food here, but the pizza place in the same complex serves up some seriously dang good offerings. Grab a slice, then make your way over for what really matters! As a bourbon lover, I found some incredible spirits here. The selection was impressive, and the staff made the experience even better. My host was gracious, knowledgeable, and patient with all my questions about their distilling process and history. I was able to sample a variety of their offerings, which made choosing a bottle that much more enjoyable although VERY difficult. I ultimately walked away with a bottle of high-rye bourbon whiskey that absolutely knocked my socks off! Unfortunately, they were sold out of one of their family offerings that you can ONLY GET HERE, so I guess I'll just have to make another trip back. What a shame, right? That just gives me another reason to return for that bottle and explore even more of their distillery-exclusive selections. The atmosphere is laid-back, rustic, and comfortable, with that warm, woodsy charm that makes you want to settle in, take your time, and explore everything they have to offer. There's plenty to choose from, and between the quality of the spirits, the welcoming staff, and the unique selections, this place delivers an experience that goes well beyond simply buying a bottle. Bourbon lovers, don't sleep on this place! Whether you're a seasoned whiskey enthusiast or just starting to explore the world of distilled spirits, there's something here worth discovering. I left with a fantastic bottle, a wealth of new knowledge, and a serious itch to come back for more. CAN'T WAIT to roll through again and add a few more bottles to the collection!

Lance was our tastemaker/ bartender and our tasting was curated as part of a tour. We tasted about 12 different moonshines including some not on the list: Watermelon, Spicy Pickle and Habenero Bloody Mary... not something I liked. Bloody Mary's are very spicy. Lance was knowledgeable about the moonshines being sampled, offering insights into its flavors and made sure we understood you don't have to drink full pour and he'd provide a new sipping cup. Most lived upto flavor, very potent in alcohol content as Lance explained with each sample. Logan gathered our order together and because of a coupon we got a feee shot glass. We liked so many flavors and after much deliberation decided to purchase the apple pie, strawberry shortcake, and 2 orange creme. I greatly appreciated this as then I did not have to hold them when perusing the rest of the shop. In addition to moonshine they sell T-shirts, pour spouts, candles, and more. We visited Tanger on a Saturday morning over a holiday weekend. Parking was rough but understandable. Eventually we found a spot, but it took longer to leave Tanger than it did to park. Overall, we had a fun experience here and recommend this shop to others!

Yes, tastings are free at most of the wineries and distilleries in town, but you're paying to get to them all safely (and without the hassle of trying to park) and hit them all in the same day. And I witnessed firsthand that we got more options to sample than people who just came in off the street. It sounds like there used to be an issue with one winery not giving full samples, but they are no longer a stop on the tour. We hit around 9 places: -Smith distillery. We liked this place enough that we returned later in the week. Really great service. The sweet tea flavor was a favorite. -Applewood Farm (two stops with wine and cider). I preferred the cider, actually, and it was nice to try something different. The cider slushies were delicious. Time didn't allow us to return her, but if we stay in Pigeon Forge again, I'd like to explore the Farm a little bit more. -Most of the other wineries blurred together, which isn't a complaint. They served really similar wines and even had similar decor. Most specialize in sweet wines, which isn't normally my thing. Tasting them is still fun, though. We bought a couple of bottles along the way. -Old Forge Distillery. We missed the first half of the tour, but there were still a lot of samples, and we came back on our last day, did another tour, and bought some bottles. Oatmeal cookie and elderflower were two favorites. -Mill Bridge Winery. This was my favorite of the wineries. First, it was really pretty inside. The woman who led our tasting was very knowledgeable, and the range of wines was more unique. We bought a bottle of Indian Summer. -Tennessee Moonshine Company (with an attached winery for tasting). Maybe my least favorite of the distilleries, but it was still pretty good and had some unique flavors. -Junction 35. This place was way more modern than the other spots, and it was a good ending to the tour. We wound up coming back here, too. We enjoyed getting to know the other people on the tour. I think there were 22 of us total, which was a decent number. The bus was pretty hot/cramped, but I think that should be a given. We weren't on it for more than 15 minutes at a time, so it wasn't a big deal. I would definitely suggest this tour to other adults looking for a fun way to spend a few hours.
