I was curious but she seemed to take offense to it. We walked out to the patio area and saw two rocking chairs facing the parking lot and thought we would hang there. My sister suggested we go to the bar and order our drinks because it may take too long for a server. We went back inside and I asked her to wait because I had to run to the restroom. I walked in and the seat was up and the toilet was filthy. I went to the sink and there was scum and gunk around the faucet. I wanted to make sure it wasn't water stains so I took a wet paper towel and easily wiped some of the scum off. Disgusting right? Right off the bat that tells me that they are not clean and don't care to be. I have been in their service industry for years and this shows me you do not even clean your bathroom once a night. You have to clean and check your bathrooms more than once or twice a day in the restaurant business. PERIOD Meanwhile my sister had a nasty experience with the same bartender who we found out is the Bar Manager Nariyah apparently. My sister asked her if they could make an Old Fashion to which the lady replied of course. Then my sister asked who made them because she wanted to know how they made them and the lady nastily said she was the only one working so it was her. Well there were two people behind the bar, her and a man. By the time I came out of the bathroom my sister said she ordered her drink but it wasn't drinkable. She said BTW this lady is nasty. I said ask them to make you something else. She cautiously went up and meekly asked the bartender if she could make her something else and the lady replied that she couldn't comp liquor or make her anything without charging her then proceeded to tell my sister she went over the ingredients with her and she still chose to order it. I stood back like wow? My sister said, "you're not nice."She told her we are locals and this was our first visit and we will never be back. I said let's go. Left the drink and walked out.

I'm not the biggest fan of sweet drinks in general, and especially not sweet alcohol. But I wasn't about to pass up an opportunity to taste some of Old Forge Distillery's moonshine and gin. They also make vodka, whiskey and rum. The gin was good! It doesn't taste like traditional gin, because they age it in bourbon barrels, so it has a little bit of a caramel taste to it. (In my opinion.) The moonshine and the cream liqueurs are where you will find the crazy flavors. I think my favorite was the coffee moonshine, which tastes like a wonderfully spiked black coffee. Samples are plentiful. The bartender told us which ones were crowd favorites, and also recommended some that I would not have picked myself. They also have a huge gift shop with lots of tchotchkes, plus bottles of their goods to take home with you.
