They were already doing moonshine tastings so we decided to join in on the free samples. Why not, right? We liked most of the moonshine, with an exception of the Ambrosia, and REALLY enjoyed the last two, enough to buy one of each. The prices are very fair for the quality. Aside from moonshine, they also have lots of other goodies for sale like homemade soaps, hats, shirts, and so much more. For an impromptu detour, this turned out to be a great little stop. I'll admit, I might be sipping one some charred moonshine later on. Would I go here again? Definitely!

ID scanners read the barcode or magnetic strip on your ID to extract and instantly verify the text-based data on your card. While policies vary heavily by business, scanners generally collect your name, date of birth, address, and ID expiration date to confirm your age or identity. Venues using security platforms (such as Patronscan) may securely log your data for a set period to prevent banned individuals from entering, track repeat visitors, or assess customer demographics. Because data handling practices are proprietary, you can generally determine an organization's protocols by reading their privacy policy or asking staff about their compliance practice. (I didn't see a policy or even know that she was scanning until it was too late) Maybe Kelly can Clarify his policy and advise how our data is used and I will gladly remove this review! Patronscan seems to be the one that "keeps your data". But I just don't drink at places that have these scanners and this is the first time my ID has been scanned and it will be the last. I would like to know how long you keep my data, what data you collect and who you are sharing it with. Also, warn people before scanning their ID!

The host of the tasting was so friendly. The $5 sample is also a credit to the store. (Details are on your wristband that they'll give you.) They have great things to purchase, not just alcohol. At another bar in the store, you can select from any of their available selections for $3. There is no sharing allowed with any samples. They also have a separate bar in the back of the store. They are dog friendly. They gave our dog a pup cup with a treat in it.

The tasting was led by Devin, who was fantastic. She made the whole experience entertaining, informative, and fun. The flavors were definitely sugary, but it was still good despite that. For just $5, you get a decent tasting that's worth checking out. Devin's great energy helped make it memorable. Friendly vibes and good pours overall. Moonshine prepared the old school way with business savvy. Says they sold their first batch and are growing based on demand. Main room has three pot stills with thumpers, they're working on a fourth still. HM is "proof" that with determination and know how, it's possible to make a go of it.
