She was especially patient with Marsh, who had a real gift for asking the most awkward questions. We both walked away with a bottle of the kettlecorn whiskey--it was that good. Not too sweet, with a subtle saltiness that really nailed the kettle corn vibe. Also, shoutout to the master distiller for the cool 3D-printed props on display--seriously impressive. We went and got the tickets, went to the bar, and stood there for a min, didn't get helped and the sampler server got summon to help a group of about 10 people wanting to do samplings. He left the sampling area, not acknowledging us, or setting us up before leaving. He was with the group for quite some time before we gave up went to the cash register, asked for a refund, and bought our bottles and left. I fully understand being understaffed, and having to juggle, but being ignored not even acknowledged, pass.

I even like the pickle juice which by this time I needed between pours. It helped reset my palette. I like the Bloody Mary Mix, crème and lemonade. Big Sexy was our tastemaker for the wine side. He setup our taste where I got to signal once all pours were complete, "Bottoms up"! It was so much fun! Nevermind that this wine including the warmed drink was tasteful, sweet and no ill aftertaste. We purchased TSW Chocolate Cream, Rocky Red Flat and Pigeon Forge Blush. Our tour also included a moonshine operation demo by one of the bartenders. It was educational of course. The personnel are knowledgeable and friendly. We have had some of the best conversations with the staff and customers. This time we had lunch at the cafe next door. Fantastic food choices the Reuben and spicy chicken sandwiches get my highest recommendation. They offer a great number of mixed drinks made with their craft distilled spirits. Several Sunday football games were on the TVs in the cafe. The mood was festive in the cafe. Tennessee Hills has a new location in Bristol too! We will be back again and again!

From our parking spot, we spotted Tennessee Hills Distillery and knew we needed to check it out. The Tennessee Hills Distillery opened in the historic Salt House of Jonesborough in 2016. We were immediately impressed with the downtown area of Jonesborough and the salt house in which Tennessee Hills Distillery is located. The building itself is amazing and is something that we would love to have as our own. We are drawn to historic commercial buildings that are being preserved and renovated to house businesses and/or homes. After walking inside, we were even more impressed. They were offering complimentary tastings and we decided to participate. We thought the pineapple upside down cake rum was delicious. They have a wide selection of liquor ranging from whiskey, flavored whiskey, rum, flavored rum, gin and vodka. They also have some nice SWAG for purchase and unique gift items. We purchased a bottle of their Pineapple Upside Down Cake Rum to give to our good friends. Overall, this was a great visit and we highly recommend to others.

The vibe here was unmatched--fun, lively, and just an all-around great atmosphere. What really stood out was the staff. While the deals were consistent across all locations, this was the only one where the team truly took their time with us. They explained everything in detail, made the experience feel personal, and got us excited to continue the scavenger hunt to the other locations. Moonshine prepared the old school way with business savvy. Says they sold their first batch and are growing based on demand. Main room has three pot stills with thumpers, they're working on a fourth still. HM is "proof" that with determination and know how, it's possible to make a go of it.
