This is one of those national chains that never disappoints. I don't know if it's the management style or the service standards but the place is fantastic. This Pigeon Forge location in particularly has some of the nicest people you will ever meet across the board. Whether you're sitting in the bar area or getting to go food from Dan in the to go pick up area you are treated like family. The atmosphere is the same laid-back country setting with good music, good sports on TV, and the occasional happy birthday song in the background being sung by Texas Roadhouse staff. I believe the proprietor of this location is Roger. I cannot remember if that's his name but the guy who is in charge is incredibly active in the community and the place runs like a well oiled machine. Vlan was our server and he was very pleasant. The food, as usual was good. The management not so good. Granddaughter was celebrating her 13th birthday and Vlan was unable to lead it. Management was unable to lead birthday tribute, why? It was not the busiest Texas Roadhouse I've ever been in but there wasn't any saddle for birthday celebration. 3 busboys spent the majority of our time there standing around. Pretty much every menu item came at the same time except our beer which came late. And it was obvious that Vlan had just been out for a smoke. Upper management needs to correct the lower management, the server's abilities, and the busboys activities. It was my first time visiting Texas Roadhouse and it was really an amazing experience. The peanuts are unstoppable! The buns and butter which is served hot is absolutely delicious. Service is great! We joined late and the server came with new hot buns ! Drinks are good too . The table has a game player which is very attractive for kids and one tab and you are charged $2 plus dollars. Decided to have my birthday dinner at Texas Roadhouse, it was a busy evening and took about 30 min to get in. But it was definitely worth the wait. Food as always was amazing. We ordered a full rack of ribs and 4 pc catfish dinner. Portion sizes are perfect and cooked to perfection. But I have to say the highlight of the visit was our Waitress Amber. It was the best service we have seen on our trip and we're extremely happy we got her. Very pleasant and professional. read more

My wife and I were craving a good steak dinner while we were camping at an RV park in town. The campground gave us a 10% coupon to Texas Roadhouse so why not go. After arriving, they said they'd text me when a table opened up. About 10 minutes later, a host carrying a bread basket led us to our table in the back by the "Outhouse". We noticed that there were many clean empty tables and curious why we had to wait then be seated near the restrooms! The dinner rolls were too sweet and cinnamony for our taste so we didn't eat them. Our server was polite, but uninformed about the menu. Maybe he was new. My wife's medium rare 8oz fillet came out rare, but she ate it, and loved the smokey and well seasoned flavor. My rib eye that I ordered medium came out rare to medium rare as well. When I showed our server, he agreed, picked up the plate and the manager returned about 10 minutes later with a perfect medium steak that had the right amount is smoke and seasoning. It was one of the best tasting steaks I've eaten! Even the baked and sweet potatoes we ate were done really well, as was their dinner salad - all highly recommended. 9/10 times when we go to eat at Texas Roadhouse the food is always fresh, the service is always well and the restaurant is clean. Sometimes we do have a bad experience if the food is wrong, service is slow, etc but this doesn't happen often and if it does it is always fixed and apologized for! read more

I left a review 2 weeks ago stating the 8 oz thick NY Strip was one of the best steaks we have had in our 7 years here in Gburg. It was a 9..We went back the other night and again ordered the 8 oz NY Strip w extra crunchy fries. I asked my wife how is her steak, she said it's ok , I agreed. Came out to this location with high expectations as we are a constant roadhouse goer. The atmosphere, and cleanliness was good. The bartender was nice . The downside is my wife had a hair in their salad and then our food was mixed up. Wife ended up eating her whole meal before asking if they could at least bring her potato they forgot about probably 10 min later after we were almost done eating . We still paid full price and only got a sorry about that. The hair was a total turn off and my wife was hesitant to eat the salad bc it came Back quick. On vacation, the restaurant we wanted to go to was completely jammed. The wait time was somewhere between one and 1/2 hours so we decided to find another option. That's when we found Texas roadhouse. We actually have a Texas roadhouse in Illinois - so we were pretty sure we would not be disappointed in the meal. We walked in and were seated immediately. We ordered drinks, my husband had a beer and I had a martini-it was absolutely delicious. What was even better is that they left the martini shaker with my drink. So many places do not do that and I was very impressed that they didn't just throw the rest of my martini away. My husband had a chopped steak as for whatever reason he is not a state guy. Who isn't a steak guy? However I am a steak girl and I was very impressed with my medium cooked steak. It was perfect. My husband was extremely impressed with his chopped steak too.
