This was recommended to us while we were visiting pigeon forge. There is a short-ish wait depending on the time of day you're there, but they're is a gift shop and nice deck area while waiting. It's a good size place, and with that comes a LOT of internal noise. My sister and I had a hard time having normal conversation. We had a great waitress, friendly and smiling. She also made sure we got whatever we needed. They stay you with a bunch of free starters, yummy coleslaw, pinto beans, and hush puppies, but themselves enough for a meal! The food was...smeh. I got what was supposed to be fried catfish, but arrived baked - and greasy. I ended up sending it back. It was a fun place to visit, but I didn't feel the quality of the food, and the volume of the place works make it worth a return trip. Another trip to Huck Finn's and another great meal. We had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated but once we e had a table, our server was immediately there to take our drink order. I ordered the Mark Twain combo. My brother ordered the Southern Chicken Fingers. Both were very good. The catfish was my favorite. So flaky and fried well. The fried chicken was good too. Let's start by saying I know true country cooking... This was good, but nothing to write home about. They bring out unlimited hush puppies, beans and coleslaw family style and you order a meal for yourself. (The hush puppies are good and you will accidentally fill up on them lol). I had a catfish sandwich and it was good. The one thing I was disappointed in is the "Famous Banana Pudding" people rave about. Yes the cookies in it are unique (definitely NOT a Nilla Wafer) and, don't get me wrong, it was tasty but it was EXTREMELY SWEET and all cookies. I am absolutely blown away by this place! My fiancé and I went at prime dinner time and we only had to wait about 10 minutes to sit down and eat even though the place was completely full pretty much. Our server was incredible, fast, kind, and helpful. We witnessed him cleaning tables and running around like crazy to provide good service for his tables. Easily the best server we have ever witnessed. The Boom Boom sauce is absolutely delicious, and the chicken was tender, juicy, with the best batter I've ever tasted. Do not pass this place up. AYCE catfish or chicken !! Located near the Smokey Mountains and easy access from Gatlinburg. Came up on this spot and was attracted by the all you can eat catfish. There was plenty of seating inside and the service was great. They constantly checked in on us to see if we wanted anotehr round of catfish. The lower rating is because the food itself wasn't anything special. The sides including green beans were good but the fried catfish wasn't seasoned (maybe basic seasoning - salt and pepper). This review is late but in July I visited the Pigeon Forge area and after viewing several menus in the area, my husband and I decided to try Huck Finn's Catfish before we headed back home. We were certainly not disappointed. We had a short wait for a table upon arriving, which was fine. It gave us time to peruse the small shop. We were seated and our server was quite friendly and took our order quickly. We enjoyed Catfish ad chicken, fried okra, and were excited that cole slaw, great northern beans, hush puppies and pickles came with our order. Everything was fried to perfection. The catfish was fried with a cornmeal batter, and the chicken was very crispy. We couldn't eat all the food so our server packed up our leftovers, and we left full and satisfied. Our hotel room had a kitchenette and the leftovers reheated nicely. Whenever we are ever in the Pigeon Forge area again, we will definitely make another visit. You can opt for a bottomless side option for your dinner with a side chosen from the menu, but I don't remember the price. I ordered the grilled shrimp + fried catfish dinner. My catfish fillets were significantly smaller than Husband's, but whatever. They tasted delicious. He got the catfish + chicken dinner option, and he said the chicken was pretty greasy (not drained well) but overall, it was outstanding. Our server was excellent and very sweet. It was her fourth day on the job, but she handled everything gracefully, even the nasty customers sitting behind us. The noise level was about what we expected, but it wasn't overwhelming. Just a typical noise level for a rather large dining area. My wife and I come to Pigeon Forge twice a year on business. The only place that we come to every trip is Huck Finns Catfish. We love this place. I always get the catfish and gator bites, and my wife always gets the clam strips. There was one time we came and they were out of gator so I got the frog legs. Everything is always cooked perfectly and never disappoints. The vittles they start you out with are always wonderful too. The servers are always great and always checking on you to make sure everything is good. The restaurant itself has a really cool vibe. It looks like you walked into a restaurant right off the pier. It's laid out family style with seating for all different group sizes. If you're in the area and like southern fried foods, give Huck Finns a try. They have a lot more than just the catfish, gator, and clam strips that we always have. We see other people's food passing by and it all looks wonderful. read more

We heard they do all you can eat catfish, but we were there for a light lunch, so we tried the broiled and fried catfish (both were so delicious). With every order the table receives vittles - which is unlimited hush puppies, beans, and pickles. However if you want to split a dinner with someone you automatically have to add $9.50 because of the vittles so I'm not crazy about that. The catfish and chicken are good, but not the best I've ever had. I would not really recommend the boom boom shrimp - instead of lightly tossing the shrimp in the sauce they just pour a bunch of sauce over the top. It may be one of the better choices to eat in pigeon forge, but nothing I would rave about. read more
