Came across this place off the side of the road on my family's road trip to Tennessee. We're so glad we made the stop because the food is great! Huge portions and cooked to perfection. Got the sampler plate to try a little bit of everything, and each bite was so perfectly crispy! Our waitress was Misty and she had great southern hospitality. Overall a 5/5 experience and highly recommend the place to everyone visiting the area!

Stopped in here while on vacation. Was able to do call ahead seating for a party of 10. Friendly and attentive waitress. I ordered the fried catfish Acadiana with pasta. The catfish was flavorful with a light breading. The pasta and fish had a creole Sauce that paired nicely. Could have used more sauce on the noodles! I ordered a side salad for my other side. Was simply lettuce and cheese. Overall, very good meal!

Pawpaws is yet another hidden gem of Sevier County and certainly earns a spot in my top 10 there. This is authentic cajun cooking, the way it's supposed to be! Known for their catfish dinners, you'd be crazy not to try some red beans & rice along with boudin balls while you're here! All of the above were excellent along with 5 star service and a casual atmosphere. Locals know...this is the spot! Everyone on the front porch spoke of how great it was as we waited to dine, and they weren't lying. The dining area is small but well worth the wait to enjoy this place!

Found by accident while vacationing. Small establishment with very helpful staff. We had a large party, so we called ahead. Upon arrival, we were promptly seated. Simple yet purposeful menu. I selected the crabcakes Orleans. It was 3 crabcakes served atop rice or pasta with a creole sauce and shrimp. Crabcakes were flavorful and had a great mixture of spices. The creole sauce atop was a great addition, I could have used more. Only negative was I found a couple pieces of shell in my crabcakes. Not a big issue, but it is worth mentioning. The baked beans lacked a lot for me. Seemed to be pretty food service quality. The catfish stole the show! Crisp, flavorful and not at all oily. Please note: a 4% charge applies to card purchases. Also 18% gratuity may be added for parties of 6 or more.

We had the catfish, cole slaw, and potato salad.

We stopped in for lunch while on vacation. Service was quick and food was hot! That is a win for us!

    Sampler appetizer.

No complaints. The sampler appetizer was excellent. We did the lunch special: 1/2 Po-Boy and a cup of soup. Chicken and sausage gumbo was full of meat. Shrimp and corn soup was a great option. Although we didn't order it, the couple at the table beside us said the White Chocolate Bread Pudding was the best they ever had. All of our food arrived in a reasonable time, and everything was piping hot. Their slaw is scratch-made; potato salad is not. Some of the best boudin balls I've ever had.

The people here are so friendly and inviting. It's a sweet spot. We arrived just before the storm of people arrived. There was one other person in the dining room. Their crew behaved like a loving family would. It's located off the beaten path of "Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg". It was such a pleasant experience. Before we finished our food the entire place was full. The food is fantastic! We absolutely loved everything and we ordered as much as we could, we had dinner and leftovers. They have a family order option that served us wonderfully. I like that option and more places should offer it! Good on the owner for that!

Pawpaw's Catfish Kitchen has become one of our go to restaurants everytime we visit Pigeon Forge. Really good, authentic, Louisiana style catfish and shrimp. The servers make you feel like family. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Pawpaw sounds like papa. This catfish kitchen serve fresh catfish. The located very country road. It is definitely have some say on catfish specialties. We have the catfish sampler. It has catfish nuggets, alligator tails, hush puppies, small crab cakes. Great samplers to have. We also got a fried catfish dinner that comes with salad, fries, hush puppies, fried shrimp and added grilled catfish. This is a good combo. For the beverage, we have the local brew beer Abita like amber lager. All meals are good and fish is fresh. We also like the service in the dining room.

The overall experience here was great! From the quality service from all the employees in the building to the local family owned ambiance. It's a place I'll definitely register. The catfish was tasty and the fries and hush puppies we so good.

We went with the Trio Dinner (pork, chicken and ribs) with sides of baked beans and fries, and a Chicken Dinner with baked beans and slaw. The barbecue was reminiscent of what we get back in Texas, with a slight flavor twist--more Tex-Mex at home versus the more straightforward, classic Tennessee-style here. Honestly, there was nothing extraordinary about it--it's what you'd expect from a fast casual barbecue place. It wasn't bad, but we were hoping for something more unique or special, given that we're in Tennessee. It filled us up for a late lunch, but probably won't make a return visit. What really stood out, though, was the warm lady behind the counter. Her genuine Southern hospitality made all the difference here worth the 3-star rating. That's about it--nothing more to add. We'll leave it at that.

It took a bit for our server to come acknowledge us but once he did, he was very helpful and attentive. My boyfriend ordered a peach Kentucky mule (they originally said they couldn't make that, which we questioned with it being a distillery, but our server came back and said they could after all). He enjoyed it and said it's one of the better ones he's had! We both ordered smash burgers and sweet potato fries - I had the junction 35 (pimento cheese + bacon jam) and he had the farmhouse (bacon + fried egg). Both were amazing! Juicy burgers, perfect size patties for smash burgers, the buns were fresh and held up nicely, and the toppings were great. Sweet potato fries had a great crunch and were seasoned really well. Service was great, food was high quality and had great flavor, and the dog friendly patio was perfect for our pup. It's located in a nice little strip of shops and restaurants, and has a common area of cornhole and other games that would be fun for an activity before/after dinner, or if you have kids in tow. Chubby's is a classic restaurant that offers American comfort food. The great dinner feel of the…read moreplace is an excellent representation of the bygone era of the traditional dinner. It has a real down home feel. The place offers burgers (Mushroom Swiss, BBQ Burger), sandwiches (Cheesesteaks, Reuben, BLT, Chicken Sandwiches with Ranch/Buffalo options), and hearty baskets with fried chicken, cod, or shrimp, plus breakfast served all day, desserts (chocolate pie!), and options like pork chops or steak. They have someone thing for everyone. Everything is cooked to ordered. We started off with deep fried deviled eggs. My wife had the Beef Stroganoff. While I had the House Smash Burger. The stroganoff is served in a wide, shallow bowl that showcases the sauce's glossy sheen and the generous scatter of sautéed mushrooms. Steam carries a rounded, savory bouquet: beef-forward notes, toasty browned butter, and the faint acid of a finishing touch -- likely a splash of vinegar, wine, or lemon -- that hints the sauce will be bright rather than cloying. The presentation is simple and effective: no unnecessary frills, just clear evidence that plate composition exists to showcase the food's strengths. The sauce is the star: a glossy, velvety emulsion built on a brown stock backbone, enriched with sour cream (or a light cultured cream), and tempered with mustard and a touch of acidity. The mushrooms are properly caramelized, offering an earthy counterpoint and slight chew that complements the tender beef. Onions are present but not intrusive; garlic and a whisper of thyme or parsley frame the dish without flattening the primary flavors. Chubby's pairs the stroganoff with broad egg noodles -- they're al dente-yielding and capture the sauce in their folds, which makes each mouthful a composed, layered bite rather than separate elements awkwardly forced together. The Smash Burger was an equal masterpiece as well. In an era when burgers can feel formulaic and predictable, the SMASH Triple Burger with Chubby Sauce at Chubby's Restaurant stands out not just as a meal, but as a culinary statement, mine was constructed of three thin-pressed beef patties -- each seared to achieve that iconic lace of caramelization -- deliver an intoxicating aroma of grilled beef that primes the palate for something special. The smash technique here isn't a gimmick; it's a masterstroke that intensifies the beef's flavor while maintaining juiciness through every layer, a testament to precise heat management on the griddle. The Chubby Sauce, a house specialty that earns its name with rich, tangy complexity, serves as the burger's soul. It marries creamy umami with a whisper of sweetness and a balanced acidity that cuts through the savory heft of the triple stack. This sauce is not merely a condiment -- it's the architectural glue that binds texture and taste, elevating each bite into a chorus of complementary notes. What makes this experience remarkable was how it balances bold indulgence with thoughtful restraint: the trio of patties makes a statement, yet the burger never feels overwhelmingly heavy. Each layer interacts harmoniously, and the Chubby Sauce is nothing short of inspired -- tangy yet creamy, bold yet nuanced. We topped it all off with pie. My wife had the peanut butter while I opted for the Apple pie was our desert. Dessert at Chubby's often arrives with the quiet confidence of a house specialty, and the both the Apple & Peanut Butter Pie is no exception. If you think you've had every version of apple pie, this one will surprise you. Chubby's Apple Pie is warm, comforting, and brilliantly balanced. The apples are tender and spiced just right, the crust is buttery and flaky. The peanut butter pie has a subtle, savory richness that keeps the dessert from being overly sweet. It's indulgent without being heavy and memorable in the best way. An absolute must-order if you save room for dessert. This was a great dining experience and in a tourist dominated area, this place stands out as real down home cooking that your grandmother made. Highly recommend, this is one the most stop sites if you are in the area.
