My mother taught me that if I don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. But I'm…read more35, she's not the boss of me anymore and this place sucks. I reserved a UHaul online and it was for a very time sensitive need. I was doing an intra-town move to a new apartment and had about a three hour window to get everything taken care of. It wasn't a lot of stuff and I was doing it all myself. The reservation was for a 5:00pm pickup. Now in full disclosure, I thought it was a 5:30 reservation because my brain was fried between working full time, studying for a big exam and trying to move. That really didn't matter for this experience though. I pull up at 5:30 thinking they were still open and that I needed to get the keys from the office. (They closed at 5:00, but again once you read this whole review you will understand why that didn't matter. I'll also note that they don't have their hours posted anywhere outside). There was a guy in the office but the door was locked; he was on the phone and when I knocked on the door he appeared very irritated and literally shooed me away with a hand gesture. Confused, I stood there for about five minutes because I absolutely needed the UHaul I reserved. He finally came to the door, unlocked it and said "what do you want?". I said I had a reservation for 5:30 for a U-Haul and he said "no you don't." and walked back into the office without an explanation. At this point I am stunned at how terrible a member of society this guy is, let alone an employee. He comes back with a piece of paper that I assumed was going to be my key and reservation but instead he says "we don't have any 10 foot U-Haul trucks left, here is the address for a place 10 minutes away that has one." Walking from my car to the office door, I passed 3 10 foot U-Haul trucks. They were in plain sight when he said this. Realizing there was no point in arguing with him I went through the process of driving across town and getting one at the other location. I ended up having to tack on several hours to an already long and exhausting day. I had several very large boxes of furniture that I had to return to the UPS store but due to this experience they closed before I could get there. I had to return the UHaul that night or be charged for another full day so I ended up having to stuff the furniture boxes into my tiny car the next day and leave the trunk hanging open to get them to the UPS store. Once I had everything squared away in the apartment I finally had a chance to look at my U-Haul reservation. Again and in full disclosure, I was supposed to utilize an outdoor after-hour lock box at the facility that had the key in it and I was supposed to text a phone number to get the code when I was there. I missed this when I made the reservation due to the hectic nature of my move. With that said, the guy I talked to certainly knew this was a reservation option and all he had to say was "did you set the reservation up to use the lock box?". But not only could he not be bothered to do that, he lied straight to my face because he didn't want to make the effort to even attempt to figure out the situation. This place is mainly a storage facility. I would crawl over broken glass to the next storage facility and rent a unit before I ever used this place. Given this experience I would never trust them with my belongings.

Mike and Beth were both very nice and personable. Mike showed me 2 options that fell in my size and…read moreprice range. I liked that he showed me different options and allowed me to shop based on my budget and size that I needed. They were not pushy and very upfront about any additional costs. I had another place in mind but closed the deal with them because of how straightforward and easy the process was. Mike even took me to my unit to help me with my lock and make sure I was all set. Thanks again!

Updated review! Just about a month in, and we've already been HARASSED by their staff member. Looks…read morelike they have nothing better to do other than walk around the facility and harass tenants. They're ignorant, poorly trained, and lack basic knowledge of their own policy and lease agreement terms. We have a commercial account, we rent parking and storage units in several locations for our trucks and our every day equipment. Our employees arrive in the morning, equipped their assigned truck and leave for the day. A couple days ago, one of our employees was waiting for his co-worker to arrive, He was in his vehicle, parked in our paid parking space and laid down his eyes while waiting for his co worker to arrive. Apparently, that really bothered a staff member named Ashley who within minutes came to the vehicle and aggressively knocked on his window telling him he is not allowed to close his eyes at the facility! She then called me and stated "I saw one of your employee in your vehicle, parked at your space, and he was sleeping! This is a violation of the lease agreement and your lease is subject to termination if this reoccurs". I was completely shocked and confused. At first I thought, well maybe she thinks that he spent the night there sleeping??! I asked her, and no.. She was fully aware that he had just arrived and was simply waiting for his co-worker. We've been renting storage spaces for the past 8 years. I've never heard of such a ridiculous and pitiful claim as this one. When I asked Ashley what part of the lease agreement did we violate, she didn't know. She called back later and referred me to a "LOITERING" provision of the lease. What a joke! Our workers are not bothering anyone. They arrive to work in the morning, get their equipment ready and they go about their day! I suggest that CubeSmart staff at this location will lookup the definition of loitering, educate themselves, stop harassing tenants, and mind their own business!
