Jessica made sure to give the run down of the best deals, called back to follow up, ensured that all paperwork was completed, the unit was the right size, and answered any & every question. A public thanks to all the staff at StorBox. Though the spaces are superb, THEY are the real magic in making a storage experience actually great as opposed to a nightmare :). First, when you walk into the building entry, it is clean, light and comfortable. The first interaction I had with them was over the phone, making my reservation. Booking storage inevitably seems to come at the most difficult time in terms of scheduling. They were clear, fast, and efficient. I think I may have called 8 times that first day. The space itself was well-lit, clean as a whistle and versatile. For example there were panels in the walls that pictures could slip into with the aid of a bungee cord hook. Easy rock music wafts through the halls, lessening that institutional feel these places can have. Not this one! My move-in was aided by StorBox, in that they were completely ready for every contingency. I used their truck that day, and again, everything was clear, and the staff was so great. I have dubbed the truck "Bertha" and I will miss her now that I have moved out. Used that truck several times during my stay! They also have a van! And your choice of these vehicles are free move-in day. I had the pleasure of working with Scott, Athena, Sarah and Lien! Even met Mehrzad briefly :)! You guys are the VERY BEST. read more

As I read thru Yelp reviews of storage places in the Pasadena area, I was bummed to discover that so many people had awful experiences. That all changed when I clicked on Storbox! Right away I loved what I saw was even happier when I got on the phone with them. Sarah was INCREDIBLE from the moment we jumped on a call. So kind and so helpful. Gave me a run down of the family owned business and all of the offerings they have. I was stoked and she told me to swing by right now if I could! So I drove down a mere 5 mins from my house (their location is amazing) and met the fabulous Sarah in person! She gave me a tour -- showing me the facilities and the two units available that I was interested in. I was sold and the sign up process was a breeze! So stoked to be a part of the Storbox family now. Like I actually get excited to go drop stuff off and pick stuff up from my unit! Can't recommend them enough. This review is for Storbox' *business practices*. I called them based upon pricing I saw online. Long story short, they're having a special: 2 months at half price. But the way the pricing is listed on their web site, the impression is that you're seeing the monthly price, and you'll be getting the first two months at half of what you see. But no. The price you see is the discount that you get for two months, and then the price you see will be DOUBLED. It's unclear--and I suspect deliberately so--but it was clarified over the phone, so no real harm done. I immediately told the representative that the price was far too high and that it wouldn't work for me. I thanked her and ended the call. Barely an hour later, I got a freaking TEXT from these assholes: "It was a pleasure speaking to you. We hope you will visit us soon so we can show you why STORBOX is the highest rated STORAGE facility on YELP and Google. TXT STOP to Unsubscribe." Excuse me?!? 1. I CLEARLY said I wasn't interested. 2. I never gave permission to be texted, let alone receiving SPAM!! (And I never gave them my number. They harvested it via caller ID.) How presumptuous!! 3. Then, when I replied to their SPAM text to express my discontent, I got an auto-reply: "Sorry, we are not able to receive messages on this line." So, not only do they list their pricing in a misleading way, they insult me by SPAMMING me after I said I wasn't interested--and they deliberately fix it so that you can't possibly REPLY to their SPAM. This is simultaneously presumptuous, disrespectful, and rude. I do NOT appreciate these kinds of unscrupulous business practices. THIS IS A SHADY COMPANY. read more

This place was good however my most recent experience wasn't very pleasant at all. I rented a storage unit for a family member and had until April 4th to clear out the unit, called up to pay for an additional two days and was told by Terri that I had a ten day grace period so I need not worry. What Terri purposely omitted was that I would be billed within that ten day grace period, basically insinuated that those ten days were completely free of charge. I spoke to Sarah on the 10th of April while I was at work to finalize everything (cleared out the unit on the 9th) I didn't have my CC info on hand so she proceeded to tell me that she was going to bill me for 6 days including the 10th, she also threatened to bill me if I didn't call her back with payment for any additional day even though the unit was cleaned out & available... Oh really??? Sarah also took it upon herself to listen to the original conversation I had with Terri via recording and admitted that she heard me ask for only two days, I questioned her about the omission and she began to act like she couldn't hear me lol! I also asked to speak with the manager Scott & he was conveniently unavailable. Storbox has a 4.5 out of 5 rating but as of the fourth qtr of 2017 the scores are going down and my review (altered review) will be no exception. Shady business practices will effect you in the long run Scott. In conclusion, Scott & co know that storage renters won't have their policy details memorized so they can finesse these type of situations into more money, good luck with that in the future Storbox. Notice it took Scott 3 months to respond, he's also being dishonest about the phone call recording, Terri was giving me false information. I've moved on and if I need a storage unit in the future Storbox won't be getting any of my business, do the same and utilize Yelp to find much better service in your area. Bye Felicia!! read more

Ladies and Gentlemen: This is the place where my entire Wine collection rests! Don't Worry I am not gonna give you my Code or my index finger print that gets you into the cellar. But if you collect wines like I do people, it is the only way to keep them safe. Temperature Controlled with the proper Humidity as well. The lights are motion censored to turn on as you walk thru the cellar. So the place is in complete darkness as well. My locker can hold up to 400 bottles. Yep! I am almost there! Don't know what I will do if I go over. I guess get a bigger one. hehe Ooppss I forget about the 30 bottle wine fridge I have at home. Yeah! I am really almost getting there. I pay just over $40 bucks per month for the rental. Anyways!! The best part of keeping my wines safe. Is the fact that if I had my way I would drink a lot more.. But the wines are safe from my access. At least during business hours. If you are starting to collect wines. Give this place a call. They do have smaller lockers that hold 50 to 100 bottles. Covid decided to shake things up and we had to give up our LA apartment & we needed storage pronto! I found Storbox searching online and looked no further! I called and spoke with Scott, manager, who immediately went over all the details. I liked how professional he was, how organized he was and how safe I felt my belongings & I would be at Storbox. He offered us a the Striker Van and miraculously everything fit! We had to pay .99 cents for any miles over 10 miles but still it was a great deal and the van was like brand new! Everything was very easy and professional. My tip would be to have your insurance declaration page handy to turn in to them while signing up so you don't get charged the additional insurance coverage fees initially. It was clean, friendly, and safe. It was worth it to me to go with an independent company I can trust. I may be paying slightly more than other places but I knew from the beginning Storbox was my choice bc I knew the location was safe, I knew the staff were friendly and trustworthy & I knew the business was run like a well oiled machine. I had a storage unit that I purchased, but then was unable to move in right away. Although my account was on auto pay, I would get calls complaining that the security guard was "getting tired" of checking my unit during the daily checks because I hadn't moved in yet, even though I was paying for the unit! What's the difference?? When I finally was ready to move in they told me the promotion price I had was expired. They refused to work with me on a better price so I didn't renew the contract. Terrible business decision on their part. Far better and less expensive options! Go elsewhere. read more
