I paid the monthly fees and insurance for 5 years. Every six months to a year, they raise the price to the point that by end of 2025, I was paying about $400.00 for the smallest unit when initially my contract stated and I paid less than $200.00 a month including the insurance. Not only that but when I forgot to make the January 1, 2026 payment, they sent me a reminder and I paid it on January 21, 2026, including the past due payment, late charges of $157.00, $50.00 for a lien fee, for a total payment made of $515.55. The payment receipt stated that the past due payments and all fees were paid on January 21, 2026 which brought the account current and stated that the next amount was due February 1 2026. On January 30, 2026, 9 days later they auctioned off my unit and I lost all of my children's keepsakes since birth among many valuables. I have the email that I paid the past due amount and my next payment was not due until February 1, 2026. THEY DID NOT EVEN NOTIFY ME THAT THE UNIT WAS BEING AUCTIONED OFF, BY PHONE, EMAIL OR IN ANYWAY WHATSOEVER. I FOUND OUT BECAUSE WHEN I WENT TO MAKE THE PAYMENT ONLINE, I DID NOT HAVE ACCESS TO MY ACCOUNT AND CONTACTED THE FACILITY AND WAS TOLD BY DAVID THAT MY UNIT HAD BEEN AUCTIONED OFF ON JANUARY 30, 2026. ON THAT SAME DAY, JANUARY 30, 2026, THEY SEND ME AN EMAIL ADVISING THAT THEY HAD INFORMATION THAT MY UNIT WAS UNLOCKED OR IMPROPERLY LOCKED WHEN THEY KNEW IT WAS THEM THAT OPENED THE UNIT BY CUTTING THE LOCK ON THE UNIT.

I was honestly confused - why would the rental office be closed when their posted hours say they're open until 6 p.m. Monday through Friday? There was a phone number on the door, so I called it. A man answered and told me I would need to register first, and that they'd call me later to schedule an appointment to view the units on another day. He started asking for all my personal information, but it felt off, like a scam, so I interrupted and ended the call. The woman inside clearly saw me still standing by the entrance talking on the phone, but she never bothered to get up or check what was going on. So lazy and unprofessional! When you inquire in the office about getting them fixed, they tiredly point to the phone number on the door and tell you to call corporate. The price increases every year and it isn't a small increase. Paying several hundred dollars every month, you would think that they would have working building services. Additionally, The office staff could not be less helpful. Most days you can see the manager in the office with his feet on desk, clearly visible from the front window. Once the office is closed, the bathrooms are locked, so if you're in there in the evening, you'll be out of luck. They tell you to go next door to Walgreens!!! We moved one mile down the road, got the same size unit for half price (not a promotional price) and every time we go, the manager is walking around the property, either walking the property with his housekeeping cart or talking with customers. Much better customer service!!!

Their business rules are such that the customer comes…read morelast!! 2 examples: (1) I was rented a leaky storage unit that StorQuest thought it had repaired. When it subsequently rained, I unit flooded with water. StorQuest's policy: Too bad; you're on your own! We hired a mover (at our time; our expense) to move to a non-leaking interior storage unit (2) When renting a storage unit, I was asked to provide proof-of-insurance to avoid needing "their renter's insurance". I provided the proof. It turns out that when my standard 12 month homeowners policy expired, StorQuest automatically began adding their $16 per month renter's insurance. StorQuest certainly had both my email address & my phone number. No one ever contacted me (to bring in my current insurance policy)!! I only found-out by luck that this unnecessary $16 monthly fee had been charged to my account for 18 months! When I immediately produced my valid insurance, I was smugly told "I will credit your account beginning today, but there won't be any refund for the past 18 months". Storage units are necessary under certain circumstances. There's plenty of choices in the 33176, 33156, & 33134 suburban neighborhoods of Miami. Based on my experience, I WOULD NEVER USE THIS STORQUEST AGAIN‼
