I reserved a unit online and was required to upload my driver's license. I tried more than a dozen times and the system would not accept it. I then called the Coral Way location and spoke directly with a staff member, who asked me to email my ID to her. She confirmed she received it while I was on the phone, told me everything was set, and provided me with my gate code and storage unit number. A week later, my daughter went to the facility on a Sunday with a full car, ready to unload and the gate code did not work. Since the office was closed, the call center answered. They told me the issue was that my ID was never uploaded. I explained the entire situation, including that the onsite employee had received my ID and issued the gate code and unit number. They even contacted the district manager and claimed the issue was "fixed." After 45 minutes of back-and-forth, the gate code still never worked. I requested a refund the following Monday. It has now been over a week and a half (almost two weeks), and I still have not received my deposit. I keep getting the runaround with no resolution. This experience was disorganized, frustrating, and completely unreliable. I strongly advise anyone considering this location to stay away. I truly feel like I dodged a major bullet. KEEP AWAY I have contacted the office directly multiple times. All with no results.

However, I was disappointed to learn that despite moving out within a month, I am still being charged for the entire month of June. The promotion makes it seem like you can rent for your first month at a minimal cost, but in reality, if you move out before a full billing cycle, you may still be required to pay for additional time. Instead of paying $1 for the first month as advertised, I am being forced to pay for approximately 1 month and 10 days. I wish the terms had been explained more clearly upfront. Customers considering short-term storage should be aware of the billing policies before signing up.

I am currently using Public Storage, but my experience has become increasingly frustrating. I…read morerecently called customer service regarding another rate increase and spent a long time waiting on hold and being transferred before finally speaking with someone. My main concern is the pricing. My unit started in the mid to high $70 range, and after the second increase within the same year, my monthly rate is now close to $156, nearly double what I originally agreed to. I was given a vague explanation about "market availability," which does not feel like a reasonable or transparent justification for such a significant jump. What's most disappointing is the lack of consideration for customers who are already dealing with inflation and minimal wage increases. Raising rates repeatedly without clear reasoning leaves a bad impression and makes it hard to feel valued as a long term customer. While the storage itself is functional, the pricing practices and customer service experience have left a very sour taste.
