    Petite Steak With Garlic Potatoes
    Corey M.

I read and heard this place was very good. I had it bookmarked and was looking forward to a great experience. Unfortunately, that's not what we got. It wasnt all bad. The atmosphere was nice, and the service was great. The food was just ok..... Nothing blew me away! When I pay that much for a steak, I expect it to be poppin' with flavor. My steak was very bland and chewy. I ended up throwing away my leftovers. The best thing I got was the hot chicken biscuit appetizers. They were actually very good. I also got the house red wine. That was also good. I will try them again. Anyone can have an off night. I just won't get the steak next time. We didn't have an awful time. I was just was not impressed with their steaks. They look great on the plate, but looks can be deceiving.

I ordered take out from this place. 1st time trying it. I was not wowed. The deviled eggs were just ok to me. They are not bad, however nothing I have to have again. My pasta was dry. It had very tiny pieces of crab and was not flavorful. It is a steakhouse. So maybe I'll go back and try a steak. However, my first visit was not good.

From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was warm and upscale without feeling stuffy--dim lighting, cozy booths, and a relaxed yet refined vibe that made it perfect for a nice evening out. Service was excellent--our server was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and made sure everything came out just right. I started with the strawberry lemon drop, which was the perfect balance of sweet and tart. The deviled eggs and steak egg rolls were flavorful and made great appetizers to share. My Caesar salad was fresh and well-dressed, and the lamb chops were cooked perfectly--tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The mashed potatoes were creamy and smooth, a perfect side to round out the meal. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a solid steakhouse experience with great drinks, quality food, and top-tier service. I'll be back!

This is my mother who I took to Mother's Day dinner and her birthday. Thank you once again.

My cousin suggested this form. I need to take my mother for Mother's Day meal. I was completely blown away with the service, especially with our waitress the way she treated us and how she was there every step of away. The bar was amazing. The food was amazing. I can't say anything extremely grateful and blessed thank you to the staff.

Pretty good experience. I would recommend turning the lights up some. It's a bit too dark. Also, could use some freshening up but overall it's chill and laid back, decent service. The salad and potato are awesome. The cheeseburger is wonderful also.

Love this place for its consistency and coziness. The ambience is quite nice and clean. Reminds me of an upscale dining experience. Service was great. Our server was attentive, cordial and friendly. She checked on us frequently and brought us FREE cake. Went with my friend to celebrate our 60th birthdays. We had a wonderful time devouring our tasty food. We both enjoyed our lunches. Started off with the spinach dip and rolls with butter. Then we ordered the Asian chicken salads. Top notch freshness and portions. The peanut salad dressing with a light vinaigrette enhanced the dish. Was going to have the carrot cake for dessert but were surprised with the pieces of chocolate cake. Our meal was very delicious! I am sure we will return to dine here again. Our celebration was so much fun.

Our second visit was as great as our first! Pros: exceptional service, quality food, extensive menu, the best Caesar dressing I've ever had, complimentary fried bread and cinnamon butter that the best restaurants in Memphis. Cons: espresso martini took AGES to arrive (we're talking 20+ mins), fruit flies Overall, Stoney River is an excellent choice for a nice dinner out below the $100/pp price point! Highly recommend!

We had lunch at Stoney River today for my birthday. Ashlyn was our server and she was Miss Johnny on the spot with everything. She had our drinks coming the whole meal without us asking. She was also very polite & respectful. I had the grilled salmon and a lobster bisque. I have to say this is the only Lobster Bisque I've ever had with actual chunks of Lobster...it was very good ....any other place just gives lobster flavored bisque. My fiancé had the ribeye. We both enjoyed our meal and would highly recommend this restaurant. Oh ...and Ashlyn brought me a slice of birthday cake which was thoughtful

Had amazing service and delicious Steak. I don't praise steaks from restaurants easily but this one hit the spot. I like mine with good marbling and this one delivered. It is prob my favorite item and will get it in the future too.

First time in Tennessee we were looking for an upscale date night place. Stoney River Steak House and Grill was delicious. Our server Mariah was amazing and always made sure we had everything we needed. The food was 10/10 would recommend and can't wait to go back when I'm in Tennessee again. Beautiful decor and ambiance in a great location.

I had a perfect dirty martini and my husband had an excellent old fashioned ( chose not to do the smoked version. ) We were seated at the time of our reservation with courteous and prompt attention from our waiter. He informed us of all the specials and gave us the right amount of time to relax before ordering. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. I like the atmosphere, not too large of a dining area, I like the separate room of tables, with a fireplace, along with the area of booths for a more intimate setting. The bar itself is large and has seating on the outskirts of it as well.

I do believe C and I have only been here once as a couple. It did not go well at all, so we have not been back together, as she is holding a bit of a grudge. It's a long story but it all ties back to service. That night we had the worst table in the building and service was spotty at best. Food was still pretty good, just whole ass annoyed by the entirety of the rest of the experience. I am lucky enough to be able to be taken to/host dinner with clients and manufacturers a good bit. They like places like this so I get by ever so often. Gotta love expensed meals!!! Tehehe I like the open kitchen concept they have and the bar is really cool. The metal shelves at the bar that store the booze are bad ass. It's warm and cozy and has a great vibe overall. The last time we sat on the enclosed patio. I had not sat out there before. I think the larger tables all go out there. We had seven and there was another group of about twenty in the same room with us. Food ranges from fairly good to fucking great. I've never had anything bad here, but a few sighs have been had, mostly by misunderstood expectations of what I was getting I would say. So, quite possibly I am the problem. As with most of my problems, actually... The oysters Rockefeller are very different from the norm. Fried oysters on a side of spinach. That's what it seems like. I ate it up, don't get me wrong. I did just switch to only fried oysters after the first one. No need wasting stomach space on spinach. Charbroiled oysters is always a good move and the preparation remains traditional on that one. I do find the oysters to be quite massive and hard to chew the whole thing at once. Cutting them just seems silly though. Steaks are prepared very well and to your liking each time. I have never had a bad one. Good flavor too. I am going to spring on the Hawaiian Ribeye the next time I go on my dime. It's a classic that I remember from Steak and Ale as well as Houston's. Both now gone from Memphis. I like the she crab soup an awful lot, and just about every entree I have had here is killer. You really cannot go wrong with the food. Just order something you normally like and boom. I will also say this. The short ribs I had last time were some of the best I have ever had. Bravo on that! Additionally, I had two giant pieces for like $40! I could only eat one of them after all of the appetizers. Oh.... Yea. They have a hot lobster roll that is good! You don't see that in Memphis very often!! Get you some. Wait.... Lamb Lollipops. They have evolved some of the years but they have really good lamb chops. They used to be the exact same dish as their sister concepts of Itta Bena, BB Kings, and Lafayette's. I am not sure if the whole family still has the old version or not. Here it has changed a good bit. As I write this, I crave it.... Ugh. Damn your foods and your seductive prowess food skills! Lastly, Tommy Peters did great things for this city's food scene. I am sad that he is gone but I know he was proud of this one! Ok. That's enough, Adam.... No one reads this crap anyway. '26 - 48

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner in its sun room with a neutral natural palette that I once indulged myself at the Rose Tavern in Canandaigua in Upstate New York. That nostalgic feeling of being in a beautiful tavern is pure delight. Absolutely beautiful restaurant, truly deserves limelight recognition in Germantown. Our darling Annalise server was extremely friendly. We loved the presentation of our dinner, but the octopus was a bit soft for our taste. I've had plenty of octopus in other cities and understand the dish is typically more expensive, but a small single mediocre tentacle is quite pricey for $28. I personally prefer a crispy and firmer chew for octopus. The scallops and shishito peppers were a delightful pairing. Valet parking shouldn't be forced upon the customer though? I felt bad that I don't carry cash to tip the valet, and valet is mandatory unless you want to park on the side streets and walk over. Do carry any cash! I wish that a portion of the parking lot was open for self parking though as those boys don't need to help out every guest who don't need valet and subjecting them to wait around for the boys to grab cars that we're perfectly capable of doing ourselves.
