They keep it small and a family type feel vibe. They do sell food here too. I tried their house wings with a side of buffalo sauce...delicious! They also made a pizza which wasn't bad. But the wings were really fresh and good. The drinks are decently priced. I just enjoyed the atmosphere here and the vibe. I can't wait to return here when I am back in Boston. I've eaten there in the past a few times and really enjoyed the atmosphere and the homecooking kind of vibe there but this most recent time I was really disappointed. We were 3 of the 4 people at the bar and the food took 39 minutes. We shared the queso dip which was OK. My gf got the hummus and the best part of it was the market basket chips that accompanied it. I had the pulled pork which was good and hard to mess up anyhow but the macaroni salad I chose to come with it was sour. Definitely sour. It was served in a warm bowl and was room temperature. I like my salads to be ice cold whether it be lobster salad, chicken salad, tuna salad, potato salad etc. It should be served really cold and on a cold plate. This was sour and after one bite from me and one bite from my gf we pushed it aside. Not once did the bartender ask if there was anything wrong which made me wonder how much they pay attention to detail at that place. If someone hardly touches their meal wouldn't they think to ask if you liked it or not? So who's to say they didn't notice they were serving sour spoiled macaroni salad? Not much traffic flows down that side of town in the summer as everyone is eating by the water and such wanting views so I wonder if their product isn't as fresh due to lack of business. I'll give it another try once the cold weather hits and let them redeem themselves since like I said I've had a few good times there in the past. read more

Our Stones Pub experience was the most enjoyable time of our trip. The bartender and entertainment Ryan, was as efficient as entertaining. Eric the cook aka chef, delivered our order fast and efficiently. We ordered the Rueben, Black and Gold Burger and the pulled pork sandwich. We were all happy. Visited Gloucester for a weekend getaway, and wound up eating at Stone's both nights I was there. It was that good. A wonderful and welcoming atmosphere, we even got the chance to catch up with the owners, who are fabulous. I can't say enough good things about the food.
