I was hoping to write a better review. I order a Greek salad that was fresh and crisp. I can say I really like their salads. My main entree was the BBQ mesquite Tri-tip pizza. (I will post a photo). The pizza looked amazing when it came to our table. Once I took a bite the dough was very very chewy. It reminded me when you microwave a left over pizza. It was not crispy at all. I'm wondering if it was old dough and not fresh?? The meat had a foul odor. All of it was bad. My boyfriend agreed too. My stars are for the service and salads we had. read more

Stonefire Grill is a chain so they have a common standard and recipe. This location did not deviate. If you been to one, you've been to others. You order at the counter and they'll bring the food to you. Tri tip is okay. I usually prefer my meat hot when served. The garlic sauce on the chicken was good. The meal combo is filling so if you can it and want a balance meal, that's probably your choice. I haven't tried their salads or pizzas yet but heard they're okay. I must say this stone fire grill is not what it use to be, the flavor of the ribs taste pretty off like no marinade and the sauce they put on after t got parboiled and grilled made the pork taste off. It's like it wasn't basted enough as it was being grilled. I saw a sign that the staff was a group in training for Rancho Cucamonga, well good luck because it doesn't taste like the crew that's been cooking at the Hastings ranch cooking. It's off. The cart wheel salad was good, I'm glad that I requested the dressing on the side. We also had the BBQ chicken which was also good. So I took off a star for the bad ribs, it's. Ordered boneless chicken and ribs, well done. They did not come well done as ordered. The server spilled a cup of ice water on the table, accidents happen. Also tried the pizza, tri tip, and garlic chicken. The bbq boneless chicken was great. Garden salad with blue cheese did not have much of a flavor. Place appeared to be clean. Okay everyone this place has some great food! I tried the tri tip steak 6oz with a Cesar salad and I was satisfied with every bite. This is a great place for a quick lunch or even a get together. Nice atmosphere and the service was excellent. I spent a total of $13 on my food but I also ordered a side of mashed potatoes. I thought I wouldn't be full with my meal but was very full that I didn't even eat all my side. The service here sucks waiters didn't know what tables to come to and they didn't tell you that you had to grab your own plates and utensils ect, the food on the other hand was great the for the most part the "garlic bread" was great 8 out of 10 just not really garlicky. Decided to go here for dinner. Never have been here before. I got the bbq and peppered tritip and ribs with garlic mashed potatoes and breadsticks. Only the breadsticks were decent. It was a bit dense to what I am used to but it had flavor. The tritip was so disappointing. The meat was very chewy and lacked so much flavor. It was not tender or melt in your mouth. The meat on the ribs were stuck to the bones so I had to bite at it. The mashed potatoes had the garlic flavor but a lot of burnt/hard pieces. It looks like there pieces were scrapped from the bottom of the pot to get the last bits. Overall, I am never going back and will stick to small bbq places that care about the flavor and the meat. read more

STONEFIRE, you just lost a customer. Placed my order online this evening at about 7:35 pm. Arrived at 7:50 pm for curbside pick up. At 8:10 pm, I call and explain I've been there 20 min. I'm told curbside pickup ends at 8 pm. I. Know. This. I explain AGAIN, I have been outside 20 min since 7:50. Not 7:58. Not 8:01. SINCE 7:50. While left to rot on hold, a female employee walks my order to the car and says "Here's your order" and shoves two bags into car window. Love Love Stonefire Grill! This place is so great with large groups! Their menu has an option to order for one, two, three, four, or large groups; it goes by Petite-Large. Petite usually serves 1 person, however, in my opinion it can serve 2 (maybe 3) I definitely recommend Marinara Pasta, however, you can also ask for half Pesto and half Marinara if you can't choose. Also, Tri-Tip (MY FAV SOOOOO TASTYYY) is a MUST ORDER. Also, depending on how you order, you may have a choice of sides and may come with two or more garlic breadsticks (Depending if you ordered combo or crowd pleasers). The garlic mash potato is sooooooo creamy and savory, it's so addicting. The garlic bread is nice and hot AND GARLICYYY. Sooo goood. Love stonefire soooo much. I always forget how amazing stone fire grill can be. Normally people will comment on the tri-tip or the chicken, but I personally think that the salmon and Cesar salad are the true the best. I've been to a lot of places with great Cesar salad but the dressing here really takes the cake. If you like garlic, you will LOVE this dressing. I completely understand it's not for everyone because the flavor and smell are very strong but definitely worthwhile. The salmon is also super amazing. They always cook it perfectly! It's never dry or overcooked. They give it a nice little crunch on the outside corners while still maintaining juiciness! I have also gotten the tri-tip and the chicken. The check can be dry at times. The tri-tip is good but the salmon is better. Give it a try sometime! read more

This restaurant has a nice patio for outdoor dining. **You order first then find a seat. The staff was super friendly and offered great suggestions as this was our first time there. The food was amazing and great for sharing. We ordered a full order of the baby-back ribs, Tri-Tip, a large BBQ Chicken Pizza and a full order of the Italian Chopped Salad with Tri-Tip. Amazing!! Oh and you can't forget dessert. We also ordered the full carrot cake and full size cheesecake with blueberry drizzle. All this was perfect to feed 4-6 adults. They also serve beer and wine. This place is alright. Originally I was going to give 4 stars, but the longer you stay, the more the stars drop. It's like with a tinder date, they give you good service for the first 10 minutes, then you spend an hour waiting to get the entree, and everything turns to shit. So this place was pretty good unless you order the tri-tip. 4/5 times the tri-tip will come out cold and you will have to ask for them to reheat it. We waited the entire time for bread sticks that never came out until we were finished eating. At that time we then had to wait another 15 minutes for them to bring the desert. Pesto pasta was good. Bread sticks tasted good. Pizza was okay. Tri-tip was terrible. Good service because they tried hard, but idk what is going on in their kitchen. Nothing was great. My one-star review is mainly for the bad online order pickup experience I just had. My wife made the order on line at 10:35am for 12:00pm pickup. When I tried to pick up our order at 11:54am，I was told the order will be ready in six minutes. I approached for our order again at around 12:05 and again was told the order will be ready when bread was ready. I tried again at 12:15 and I got the same answer. Finally I got our order at 12:20pm. I complained to the manager that people ordered at the counter when I tried to pick up ours already got theirs. He said it was busy and others were bigger orders. Caesar, good breadsticks good mashed potates good tritip: awful... their tri tip is very chewy... i bet its select grade... if you want a good tritip go to woodranch... the tritip here is soo chewy that i need to swallow the pieces whole babybacks: not so good... they need a bit more meat on them... also i think there is creosete on their ribs, which is a bad smoke... its very bitter in the mouth and tastes really bad... also, for a place that charges $15.00 a plate, you would think they can afford normal water cups, but they give you the cheapy small plastic crumple ones... they have a bit of an identity crisis... pricey food, self serve, portions could be better... though i will give it another try.... read more

Had the chicken and tri tip meal. I wanted ribs but apparently they ran out about an hour before closing (we went there for a late dinner at 8 pm). I was very sad. I am not much of a chicken fan but decided to try it since they offered dark meat. Sadly it was still a bit dry. The tri tip was good, a bit tougher than I would have liked but cooked perfectly to mid rare and had good flavor to it. The bread that came with it was great! Very nice interior but there is really no service except to clean up the table after you are done eating. The salad was pretty good though. But for the price, 11 bucks is not bad for that food. Great place for a quick bite. I tried the lemon garlic salmon meal with the garden salad and bread sticks. Their salads are loaded with different veggies and I was almost full after just the salad since it was in a huge bowl. The fish was pretty good, but i think it was just a tad dry. I thought the bread sticks were ok..i know everyone raves about them..but i thought they were a bit tough..i like mine pillowy soft on the inside. This was my third visit to Stonefire, so I feel able to write a fair review. The food served here is excellent; well prepared, seasoned and worth coming back for. I have ordered or sampled most of the entrees, salads and sides, and all are among the best restaurant fare I have tasted. The conundrum comes with the packaging; we are basically an upscale Sizzler without the level of service. One must place one's order, then service his own table. One is responsible for all tableware and drinks. A server will bring one's food to one's table, and then be gone. Unlike Sizzler, I did not leave a tip. For what? Seems like they could do better. YUM! This spot in the Hastings Ranch of Pasadena was absolutely PACKED on a Saturday night; however, this counter service restaurant still managed to somehow keep things moving quickly. We actually shared a small size South of the Border Salad, 1/2 order breadsticks, a small Stonefire Favorite Pizza and a brownie. The salad was good; however, a bit heavy on the onions. The pizza was also above average and very tasty. The breadsticks at this place are to die for! YUMMM!!! The brownie's are also really good and the perfect combo between soft and crunchy. I would give the food a 4 out of 5, and I would rate them excellent in being able to handle things under super busy conditions. I have also had other things during a catered lunch including the Tri Tip, Garlic Mash and Mac and Cheese. Based on those items, I would have probably given it a 5 -- so I think I will go with those next time. read more
