Though we waited for more than 30 mins to be seated the food & service experience paid it off. We came as a big group & tried to order in advance for everyone was hungry but the staff did not allow us for they wanted to serve it hot & fresh. The moment we sat in it only took a few minutes & all the orders arrived instantly. We literally had a feast! Pork ribs in bbq sauce & steak were heavenly, flavorful, soft, tender & moist. The garlic buttered salmon was equally delicious baked perfectly. You could not stop eating their garlic cheese bread fresh from the oven. Pepperoni pizza was simply delightful. Pesto macaroni pasta was a great match. Staff were always present for assistance. read more

We've been coming here for years and love everything here: from the awesome customer service, delish food, reasonable prices & cute ambiance. I love the patio seating, they even have it covered when it rains. It's casual enough but still nice dining. Right now they have a great meal deal that can't be beat! Stimulus Package for $24.99 that can feed 4 easily: Half Tri Tip or Whole Chicken Small Salad 12" 2-topping pizza 8 breadsticks From the first visit years ago to tonight for dinner, we've always received the best customer service. We ordered way too much our first time (not knowing how big the portions are) and they helped us to navigate how much to order so we didn't have to take home all our food. How to order: As you walk in, you are greeted by a small lobby and the menus. After deciding on your favorites, you can order at the counter. After paying, they give you a buzzer that you take with you to your table which you can choose where you want to sit. I always try to sit in the patio. Then grab some plates, utensils, drinks, napkins & BBQ sauce back to your table. It doesn't take long for your food to be delivered to your table to enjoy. They even have boxes & bags everywhere so you don't have to flag someone down to request the items. My favorite things to order : Stonefire BBQ chopped Salad. I could live on this!! Get it with Tri Tip! Mixed greens, red cabbage, Monterey jack cheese, tomatoes & YUMMY ranch! Chicken Breast plate that comes with a side. My mom used to make fun of me for ordering the chicken breast until she actually tried it. It is THE MOST JUICY Chicken you will ever eat! I always get the lemon garlic flavor. If you really want bbq, you can get the sauce at the self serve area. Tri Tip is delicious! It is grilled to perfection and I love the herbed butter flavor. Garlic mashed potatoes are always a hit. Love the quinoa mix, kinda minty & refreshing. My mom's fave pasta is the tomesto, have covered in pesto & the other half in tomato sauce. Don't forget the fresh breadsticks! Love the decor, dark wood paneling, booth seats, indoor & outdoor seating. It is always very clean. Service is really top notch. I've never had a bad experience. They go out of their way to make sure you have the best meal. Definitely recommended!! read more

Stonefire Grill - Awesome Special! - American Near Me - Pasadena, California

The food is delicious as always, but the customer service today was not pleasant. The server dropped our first dish down and I asked where my cup was for the fountain drink I purchased. He just pointed to the station where the drinks are then walked away. Not saying anything. I proceeded to go there and I missed the sign. The same server goes "if you read the sign someone will help you." I felt the tone was rude. He could have verbally explained the service process when I initially asked him the first time instead of pointing at the station then walking away. We waited quite awhile for our 3rd dish. After almost finishing the salad and salmon our pasta came way later. I asked the same server can I order breadsticks. He points to the cashiers and says you have to go there. I used to be a server and I understand when or if I'm slammed. But his customer service skills were unpleasant and very rude. read more

It was good for the most part, I got a StoneFire BBQ chopped salad and tortilla soup. I honestly think that the chicken in the salad wasn't barbecued, I think it was just cooked with lemon juice. It tasted undercooked. This was very disappointing because it is advertized as BBQ'd meat. The portion was good, too bad I had to take all the chicken off. My fiance was happy with her Mediterranean bowl. The portions were great. read more

Love the brisket and lemon chicken. Good salads too. New favorite is the cauliflower-yummy!

This review is for their curbside takeout. I would give them 1 star for this alone. I don't even know why they offer curbside when they NEVER actually bring the food to your car. I have been multiple multiple times and only successfully had food brought to me ONCE in a timely manner. Even when no one else is waiting for curbside they make you wait. It is literally ALWAYS faster to just go inside and get it yourself, and I'm ok with that, but sometimes it's nice to not have to get out of the car. They clearly don't make this a priority and it's very unprofessional. I hope someone at corporate reads these because this is an issue they need to fix. read more

Absolutely love love love this place! It truly is the bomb.com and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. It feels like home.

How is it, that for just 2 salads and breadsticks, my order is incorrect?! Thankfully we were eating at home and had our own dressing, as we didn't get dressing for either salad; was missing the tortilla chips for the salad that I requested on the side and breadsticks were hard as a rock and cold. Makes me wonder if the extra corn I requested and had to pay for was on the salad. I really enjoy Stonefire, but come on now...very disappointing! read more

The ribs are really good here. I was pleasantly surprised. They are moist and very tender with a slight sweet glaze. They beans are like ranchero beans with a little heat and are good with the ribs. Nutty Coleslaw is full of peanuts and I think they use the Asian salad dressing for it. I think it would probably go best with the chicken. read more

My family and I love the fresh salads here but seriously the customer service is majorly lacking. I even sent an email to management and did not receive a response. Every single time we order food for curbside-not only is it not ready by the time they say but we always have to walk in. What's the point of having curbside? Even when we order on postmates-our driver is there no less than 20 minutes waiting for food. On a positive note....they do usually offer a dessert. read more

We ordered the family pack with half bbq tri tip and half herb butter tri tip, or something like that. It came with a Caesar salad, breadsticks, and half a chicken with lemon herb butter too. All of it was INSANELY delicious. We sat outside on the patio and it was a nice warm day but not too hot on the patio. It was fresh air compared to inside which smelled smoky from cooking the meats. Everyone loved the tri tip and chicken of course, and the salad was refreshing but with a little too much dressing, but the BREADSTICKS. Cheesy herby goodness. Like the upscale version of Little Caesars crazy bread. Mmmm so good. I would literally swing by and get breadsticks only if I didn't want to spend on a whole meal here. Service was great too, friendly staff and quick service. The lemonade was a nice complement to the bbq meal. Definitely will be returning!! Love this place!! read more

Stonefire catered my daughter's wedding. The food was absolutely perfect. Everything was fresh. The temperature was just right. The servers were gracious and helpful and did an excellent job. I highly recommend Stonefire and look forward to catering with them again in the future. read more

My in-laws took me to this place for a late birthday dinner and was quite surprised this place existed. It's a great family place portions are very big and bread sticks are quite garlicky. The salad comes in a huge portion so be prepared to share. We ordered the family pack so it was a good amount of food. Try tip with blue cheese was interesting, herb chicken was decent the ribs though were nothing really to write home about, boiled ribs with little bit of char to finish off. Mac and cheese need a little bit more cheese. Lastly the carrot cake and cheese cake were quite nice just the right about of cream cheese frosting, carrots and raising on the carrot cakes. The cheese cake was delicious as well, very creamy and the crust was great. Overall a solid 3 stars teetering on 3 1/2. read more

The food is definitely gonna be good. I had already been to the one that was in Irvine and was totally okay with going to the one here. Their prices are really good, especially for the amount of stuff you get. This stuff will make you full at around $8. But then again, pesto with the heavy sauce will do that to you ahha. They also have pizza as well that has the pesto as a topping and that also is amazingggg. On this particular evening, they were supposedly full and were holding the "ordering" line that was in the front. You order in the front, grab a tracker, and then go to a table and they bring the food to you. If you haven't been to one before, this might not be as apparent to you. You might be waiting for the thing to buzz and keep seeing if they have any order waiting there- no worries! They come to you. The staff said it'd be a "half hour wait", after sending one of their staff in the back of the restaurant, which was fine. Totally could wait for the food. After waiting a while in the line in the front, they start having orders run through again and after we order, we are confused. What do we do :P We've repeatedly gotten the "oh we don't have free tables" speech. We decide to walk into the back, and I see a good amount of tables that are free, especially for a table of 2. The disorganization of the restaurant. -_- You're going to enjoy your food though. The pesto is heavy but rich. Good flavor :) The wait isn't bad, and the servers who are in charge of bringing plates out ask if you need anything before bringing other foods out. Water is gonna be self-serve in the middle of the restaurant. read more

Seriously!!!! Very disappointing and disturbing with THIS restaurant, we have been to one in another location and I can say that this one REALLY disappointed, all the employees seemed to be running like chickens with their heads cut off, the lack of organization, service, O, no WAIT, there is NO SERVICE, for as pricey as it is, I think table service is a MUST. Only reason I am giving them 2 stars is because the food is very tasty. BUT I guess we live and learn NEVER AGAIN. read more

Stonefire Grill - Grilled salmon in lemon sauce with Cesar's salad. - American Near Me - Pasadena, California

Stonefire is a great place to go when you have no idea where to eat. There is a great variety of dishes you can order and who doesn't love delicious food at a great price tag? I always order the tri tip plate, because it has great flavor (especially with the bbq sauce) and comes with a salad and breadsticks! There isn't much of a line during the early afternoon, but it gets super busy at dinner time. However, every time I have been there are always tables available. The food comes out within ten minutes and I love the efficiency of this place. The only downside is that there isn't much consistency in the food. Sometimes the Caesar salad is very garlicky and other times it is lacking flavor. Also, the cooking of the meat isn't always perfect. Regardless, Stonefire still serves up great tasting, hearty food. read more

Stonefire Grill - Tri Tip, 1/2 chicken + 1/2 slab of ribs - American Near Me - Pasadena, California

Yesterday was my first time coming to Stonefire Grill with my family , I originally found it because of the good yelp reviews and it did not disappoint! There was four of us and we got the 1/2 bbq chicken & 1/2 tri tip, we got the garden salad with it and added beans as an extra side to have. Everything was great ! We ordered the tri tip medium rare and it was nice and tender , really flavorful. The bbq chicken was juicy and had a nice char on the skin. The garden salad has some chopped cucumber and tomato in it , really refreshing and trust me they give you a lot of salad ! People aren't lying when they say how good the breadsticks are either . Overall , the service was good and the food came out fast . I felt like it was a good value for what you got and how good everything was . We left full and even had some leftovers to bring home . read more

My first time at Stonefire, and I have to say, it wasnt what I had expected! The venue itself is gorgeous, with a lovely patio and plentiful seating. The ordering procedure was the unexpected part. You stand in line right at the entrance and put in your order at the register. You are then given a buzzer locator number and pick a table/ booth. There's a self serve beverage station, condiment station, lemons, sweeteners, and plates/ utensils on a counter. They locate you and bring your food in a timely manner. The food itself was decently proportioned and tasted good. I wish my tri tip had more flavor and wasn't so cold when it got to me. I didn't finish it. My boyfriend got ribs and he enjoyed them. I asked for an avocado on the side and was brought maybe a fourth of an avocado, so I was bummed about that as well. Overall, it's a very efficiently run restaurant, but the lovely ambiance created is not matched in the way they serve. It has too much of a fast food system for me to feel like I'm dining. I got dressed up to come here because it always looked so beautiful from the outside, and then walking in, I realized I put on heels and Chanel perfume for a place that reminded me of Corner Bakery or Panera. Having said that, it wasn't a bad experience, but it didn't do anything for me either. They were very busy, So I'm sure they're doing well, but I just had much higher hopes for Stonefire is many aspects. Not sure if I would return. read more

Great place for a quick stop while we charged our car. The food came out fast. The tri-tip was not very flavorful but was lean. We asked for medium rare. It was not. Mac and chz was good. Garlic mashed potatoes was pretty good. Side salad was just ok. Don't bother ordering the cauliflower appetizer. It was not hot, edible but not good enough to finish. Did not feel the food was worth the $100 we paid for 3 meals for four people. read more

BEWARE OF THIS RESTAURANT!!! Their doors for dining in are NOT CLEARLY INDICATED. THEIR DOORS ARE EVEN STATING TO "ENTER". Apparently you don't enter and stand in that line that's indicated. If you're dining in, you shouldn't have any issues here. Self service for drinks and sauces. You seat yourself and they'll bring your order to your table. Usual go-to here are their ribs and their tri tips. Good size portions and definitely not dry. The meat are very tender. Mix it with salad and their mashed potatoes with garlic stick breads and you're in for a treat. Plenty of seating available. There'll be times when there's a wait, but usually short. They also have pizza and pasta as well. We've also had food catered from here where we ordered there and picked up it up later that day. The Works includes 4 whole chickens, 3 Tri Tips or your choice of pizza, pasta, salad and breadsticks. Definitely worth it as it filled up easily about 20 people. Only thing was that we ran into a bit of a trouble picking up our order. The front staff was a bit clueless about the order. He went through the menu letting me know what was on the receipt but he left the chicken and the rest of the tri tips in the cupboard and thought he gave me anything. I had to double check my order or else I would be walking away with the main course. Either way, food is good here so I can't complain much from the one bit of a bad experience here. read more

I love coming here to eat, the food is always good and a great place for a gathering. Recently came here for Mother's Day and we order the Our Favorite set, which came with a whole chicken with your choice or tri tip or ribs, we got the tri tip and order the ribs on the side. We also got the cesar salad with the nutty coleslaw and the mash potatoes as the side dish It also came with 18 breadsticks!! For this place when you first walk in they have the menu in the front area where you can take a look at what kind of food you want. Once you have place your order, depending if it is packed or not your can found your own table and seat yourself. The food usually come out pretty quickly. The breadsticks here are off the hook here due to the garlic they put on the the bread The chicken here is moist and have great flavor. The tri ti to me is the best part of coming here, it is cook to perfection and very juicy. As for the ribs they were great and goes well with the bbq sauce that they have there. As for dessert we got the carrot cake which is what this place is know for in terms of their dessert choices. The cake was very moist and better than most bakeries. This place is great for large group of people, since it has many different variety choice of food to choose for, and just a great atmosphere overall. read more

This is our first time at the Stonefire Grill, couple of friends of my including some of my Yelp friends were telling me to come the Stonefire Grill. When we arrive at the restaurant, we though they were hostess but they weren't lucky the cashier. She was telling us we order from the menu what we like to order very simple and find a table. We order the golden state kale salad and the main meal we order a small order of baked rigatoni with meat sauce & mozzarella and a half basket of Stonefire's freshly baked breadsticks. The waitress brought us the golden state kale salad. The salad looks amazing it also have avocado that's add color and flavor to the kale. It so come with red cabbage, cucumber, golden raisins, roasted chickpeas and lemon Tahiti dressing. The kale salad was amazing we enjoy it every much we try it again then our bread sticks they were nice and warm but very delicious. Finally they brought the baked rigatoni it was so good I took a big spoonful of rigatoni and put it on my plate. The rigatoni was have so many flavors including the meat sauce my wife and I enjoy it very much like the kale salad. Overall Stonefire have amazing food, we would go back again. read more

What a treat!!! It was panera style where you order in the front and they bring it to your table, but they have salads, pizza, bbq, and pasta. They also serve beer and wine, which is a plus. It is a pretty casual place and just as loud as panera on a busy day. The servings are huge. My husband and I got the tri tip special, which includes 1lb of tri tip, salad, a side, and breadsticks. Tri tip was medium and juicy. For whatever reason, we were told to not get it medium rare. We also ordered the petite order of mac n cheese and some beers. There was way more food than we anticipated. Believe me when I say, we had enough food for an additional adult. For the price, it is worth it too. Service is fast and efficient. Parking is not crazy either. I would definitely stop by again to try other items on the menu. read more

First heard about Stonefire grill from a coworker who swore it was the best thing ever! I didn't place an order with her that day but decided to come here for dinner this afternoon. The restaurant was packed and we waited about 5 minutes before placing our order. I decided on the Tri Tip (12 oz) meal which included bread sticks http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/stonefire-grill-pasadena#pwjmf1HgErLnaHWwbDmIEw and a caesar salad http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/stonefire-grill-pasadena#v64xF8_MklRYi5_l6Ik4nw. What came out was what I thought was more along the lines of 6-8 oz's of the tri tip http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/stonefire-grill-pasadena#pwjmf1HgErLnaHWwbDmIEw which was nothing more than 6 pieces of the trip tip. Though it was tasty, thought it was a little pricey given the amount of steak we got. Good thing we also ordered a large portion of the tomesto pasta http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/stonefire-grill-pasadena#qdqI-2v-2ytPphf4YdKd-A. A huge portion compared to the tri tip but it was still only so so at best. Not sure I'd come back given other bbq restaurants in the area. read more
