I love Stonefire Grill and have been to two other locations but this was my first time at the Pasadena location. Though the food was just as amazing as I found it to be at the other locations I've been to, I was blown away by the amazing service at this particular location!! My parents, a family friend, and I decided to head here for dinner last Thursday night after a long day because none of us had the energy to make dinner so we decided to go to Stonefire for some comfort food. Clinton, one of the managers, greeted us as we entered the restaurant and took it upon himself to personally guide us through the menu options and offer suggestions based on our pretty general descriptions of what we each felt like eating (talk about patience and hospitality!--we were all tired and foggy headed so it was a huge relief to have help with the decision making process). From the wine (he recommended the Smashberry Red Blend which was soooo yummy--perfect balance of delicious richness and mellow drinkability!) to the main course to the dessert, we were beyond happy with what he recommended for us! We got the baked rigatoni with meat sauce & mozzarella, the chicken caesar salad, the roasted cauliflower pita sandwich, the grilled shrimp, and a huge slice of the carrot cake (otherwise known as "heaven on a plate" ;-)). During the course of our meal, both Clinton and a super sweet server named Chastity came to check on us several times and no matter what we asked for (extra napkins, extra plates, answers to our annoying questions about the history of the restaurant, etc.), they were more than happy to comply right away and with a genuine smile. Clinton even got us drink refills (though we didn't ask him to and could easily have gotten them ourselves) and when we asked Chastity for extra parmesan, she offered to go to the kitchen to procure freshly grated parmesan if we would prefer it over the pre-grated parmesan in the shakers. Then, when her shift was ending, she stopped by to say goodbye and tell us what a pleasure it had been to serve us--so nice!! :-) In the car on the way home, we were all commenting on the fantastic service we got from the C&C team (as we dubbed them ;-)). Clinton has such a warm, genuine personality and he made conversation with us as if we were guests in his home rather than guests in a restaurant. I ALWAYS LOVE STONEFIRE. I LOVE THEIR FOOD I was with a group of friends, actually 15 of us for a birthday celebration. I went there first and asked if I could have a table for fifteen guests. But, since I was waiting for my company to come, I sat on the bench by the entrance. The place was getting busy people were piling up. I was observing the whole place while waiting . There were lots of crews maybe because Friday evening is a busy day. BUT, they were just in one corner by the kitchen area chatting while some people were waiting to be helped by the counter. There were who were wearing red and moss green(?) and I don't know what are the distinction of each. Anyways, it was a while before they realized that people were waiting to order and two crews one wearing red and one wearing moss green went and help. But some were jut laughing by the kitchen loudly not minding the "busy-ness" of the place. I couldn't even remember them greeting the guests like " welcome or good afternoon" upon entrance. Then, it was my turn to order after all my company has arrived. I stood by the counter, NOBODY was there so I waited BUT, there were crews walking around by the working area behind the counter and just ignoring me, not even asking " may I help you?" Some were still standing by the kitchen area chit chatting while some already serving. Then one crew approached one of the counters and asked the customers behind me, " are you ready?" BUT, not me. And I told him, I WAS HERE BEFORE THEM, can't you see I've been standing here? He didn't say Sorry but just asked me for my orders. What happened to the service STONEFIRE? I usually don't write reviews on yelp because it's kind of a hassle but this place is an exception! It was my second time there. First time service was great maybe because we went around closing time. This time, my friend and I came here around 7pm, after our hard workout. Lets jump to conclusion shall we. We ordered boneless chicken breast + tri tip combo which came with a salad and 2 pieces of breadsticks. We had finish our salad and 2 bread sticks and was still waiting for our food. ~15mins later, a lady walks up to our table to tell us our food was going to be late because they could not find us so she offered us more breadsticks, this time we each had 3 pieces. We received our food 5 minutes later. The manager came to check up on us and gave us their signature mac and cheese (amazing!) at this point we were somewhat stuffed. Even though our food was late, her kind service and sweet self made our visit that much better. This is my 2nd time here and it will definitely not be my last. Food: the lemon garlic sauce/marinate was amazing! I wish I knew how they made their chicken sooo tender. The tri-tip was a bit on the chewy side but besides that, it was amazing. I wish I can come here everyday to get my protein in but a $13 + tax dish is going to add up :( overall: great place, great food, great service so far, great manager. go here! you will not regret it!! read more

*First time yelper* Most people use yelp to bash the business with mean, nasty and disrespectful comments. I on the other hand wanted to do my first review on Stonefire because this place of business is the prime example on how to get the job done. it is with out a question my go to lunch spot. They offer incredible lunch-in specials (for the a price that won't kill your wallet) @ $7 each. And it's not just your typical sandwich and a bag of chips! They have INCREDIBLE salads,sandwiches,salads, pizza and even soups! DID I MENTION IT COST ONLY $7?! I usually order via phone but they also offer ordering online for you tech savvy folks (; Yesterday I ordered a pizza & salad special. The pizza toppings I chose were Pepperoni & Sausage. It usually comes with only one topping so I had to pay a little extra for the additional topping but I didn't mind at all. Jessica, who took my order when I called in, was professional and her knowledge on the menu was very impressive. Upon my arrival I was greeted with smiles and amazing hospitality! (BIG PLUS FOR ME) It was a little busy and I had to wait a few extra minutes before my order was ready but once I got it and took that first bite of pizza I knew it was all worth it. This is a warm place to eat with family. This is the hot spot to eat with friends. This is the perfect hot spot to host a warm get-together with both family and friends. When I think of Stonefire Grill, there are no words to describe my experience here. I could only sit here and smile. I remember my good friend David from college who introduced me to Stonefire Grill. Since then, I've been ordering the Stonefire's BBQ Chopped with tri-tip salad. It's delicious. Their slab of ribs and tri-tip roast are also a must. My parents and little brother are the first to come to my mind whenever I want to order the whole menu. Stonefire Grill has a section called the 'Crowd Pleasers' that is perfect for ordering family sized meals. The manager here is also excellent. He seems so hands on with everything and makes everyone feel very at home when eating at Stonefire. I remember he was there helping out his staff with my to-go orders and always giving everyone a warm welcome to Stonefire. Eating at Stonefire Grill builds memories. Sweet and savory memories. My experience at Stonefire Grill was absolutely dreadful from start to finish. First of all, the ambiance was reminiscent of a rundown cafeteria with outdated decor and uncomfortable seating. The lighting was so dim that I had to use my phone's flashlight to read the menu. Now, let's talk about the food. I ordered a grilled chicken Cesar salad, which arrived soggy and tasteless. The lettuce was wilted, the chicken was dry as cardboard, and the dressing tasted like it had been sitting out for days. It was clear that the ingredients were not fresh at all. To make matters worse, the service was atrocious. Our server seemed like they would rather be anywhere else but there (not happy to serve at all like it says on the t-shirts they wear) . They took forever to take our order, and when the food finally arrived, they got our order wrong not once, but twice. It was a comedy of errors that left me frustrated and hungry. As if all of this wasn't bad enough, the prices were exorbitant for the quality of food and service provided. I left Stonefire Grill feeling ripped off and disappointed. I've been a loyal patron of this restaurant since the day it opened, and up until now, every visit has been a pleasant experience. However, today was deeply disappointing. There was a system outage, and after waiting for 20 minutes without a single update from the staff, I had to inquire myself. Only then was I told there was a technical issue. Despite the outage, they could have easily handled orders manually by writing down receipts and passing them to the kitchen--but no such effort was made. To make matters worse, one staff member acted immaturely and made no effort to resolve or mitigate the situation. I eventually had to ask for a refund and leave. There were many simple ways they could have handled this better, even just a gesture of goodwill, but none were offered. I was given a zero-balance receipt that didn't even clearly show my refund, which only added to my frustration. I'll be monitoring to ensure the refund is actually processed, but this experience was completely upsetting and far below the standard I've come to expect from this establishment. read more

My family and I dine here for dinner atleast once every other week. I have two little ones so we come in around 5pm to avoid any lines. This restaurant is very family-friendly, very clean and the staff is super nice and attentive, always!! You walk in, order your food, then grab a table. There are lots of tables inside and an outdoor patio as well. Fountain drinks, utensils and to-go boxes are all in one convenient area. Usually we'll order combos for sharing, for example, 1/4 bbq chicken w/ tri-tip and their nutty coleslaw, including their delicious breadsticks! I'll also get extra bbq sauce by the fountain drinks because its just so good! We also love their pesto pasta, salmon meal and cauliflower salad. We've tried almost everything on their menu and there's something for everyone! And my kids love the food here, too, which is definitely why we always come back! So, overall, we always have a good experience here and the food is great! read more

Love love love! Came in over the weekend to pick up dinner to go. I decided to order a tri-tip meal for 2 and a carrot cake for dessert. The meal included tri-tip, 1 small side, 1 small salad, and 4 breadsticks. I ordered the meat rare since it would be covered during the drive home and it was the best decision ever! Our meat was so soft and tender by the time we were ready to eat. If you are ordering tri-tip to go I highly suggest ordering it this way. Our mashed potatoes were also a delight and the breadsticks were delicious as well. The salad we chose was the spinach salad, my favorite! Did I mention the meal was a great deal at $19.99?! Now on to dessert...YES! The carrot cake was melt in your mouth DELICIOUS. Amazing quality. 5 stars! Ordered a family platter which consisted of the 1/2 slab tri-tip, full slab of ribs, breadsticks, and caesar salad. We also decided to add a large order of garlic mashed potatoes to our order. CAESAR SALAD: not bad, but sorta hard to screw up salad... RIBS: Was not pleased at all with the ribs. They were supposed to be succulent and "fall off the bone" but instead they were hard and chewy, as if they prepared it by throwing some frozen ribs into a microwave. The leftover ribs sat in our fridge for two days before someone finally decided to eat them. TRI-TIP: The Tri-tip was pretty good, but there was too little quantity for the money that we paid. Sadly, the highlight of the meal was the breadsticks and the garlic mashed potatoes. If I ever return I will forgo the ribs and opt for the chicken or pizza instead. read more

At first glance it looks good a fire place out side. Not for guests to wait and enjoy a warm area, but for ppl that reserve the outside dinning area. Place looked busy with alot of cars but you need to understand that the parking is shared with the other restaurant's. The girl at the front was super nice and helpful explained how it works (Audrey) we sat at our table. Food came out quick l. Was not so happy with the food pasta was a bit under cooked. Pizza was bald no flavor. Now the service was horrible. Once they bring out your food they don't come back at all. Not asking us if we need anything. Plus I had to wait to see if they bought out my carrots cake with out masking them. That was a fail I had to get up off my seat to get it. Overall not a good place. read more

I had such a great experience at Stonefire Grill in Pasadena! From the moment we walked in, the service was amazing. Ana Bojanini took our order and was incredibly nice and patient. She took the time to explain all the side orders and helped us choose exactly what we wanted. Her kindness and professionalism really stood out and made us feel welcome. Mark, the manager, also came by several times to check on us and make sure everything came out just right. It was clear he genuinely cared about our experience, and that level of attention is rare to find. The food was delicious, but what really made our visit special was the outstanding service. The tri-tip and barbeque chicken and ribs here are tasty. it's always worth the trip. I've also enjoyed the pizzas - my favorite is the Margeurite. You order at the front counter and you're given a number and seat yourself. Also, you buy a cup and then get your own drinks. The food is always great but this place does get crowded and it can be hard to find a table at peak times (there's seating both inside and outside on a patio). The restaurant is clean and pleasant. My only complaint is that the sound level at the restaurant is too loud, particularly when it's crowded. Between the kitchen noise and music, it makes people raise their voices to talk and hear each other. And I find the noise level to be downright unpleasant. read more

The food here is always good. The breadsticks and tri-tip are a go to every time we eat here. The reason I did not give them 5 stars is whenever I go to pick up the food I still end up waiting for 15 minutes. I called in the order at 2:00 P.M. and told them I would be there at 5:00 P.M. I got out of there at 5:20 P.M. and they said they were waiting for the breadsticks. When I checked the bag one item was missing that they filled right away. I will still eat here because I like the food and they are not short staffed as it seems there were like 40 employees. My guests liked the food and I have done catering with them that they do a great presentation with delivery. I would recommend this place to my family and friends. read more

We had a great experience at StoneFire Grill! We decided to try their meal deals (starting at $13.99). We got the Alfresto (alfredo and pesto - BEST OF BOTH WORLDS!) pasta and pulled pork. For the sides, we chose the garlic mashed potatoes, Caesar salad, and breadsticks. Everything was flavorful and filling, and there was plenty of food to go around. The meal deals also came with a choice of dessert, so of course we had to try both the carrot cake and cheesecake. Both were a delicious way to finish the meal! Service was great, and we really enjoyed the comfortable, welcoming ambiance. Overall, a great spot for a satisfying meal with plenty of options, and the meal deals are a nice way to get a little bit of everything. read more

I went here with my family and we loved the variety. When you walk in you order right in the front before you are seated. We got the family packages. 2 orders of Tri-tip- with different flavors, Salmon, and lots of Caesar Salad. The Caesar salad was very tasteful. The tri tip was really good . You should try all the flavors. Breadsticks came with the meal, and they were right out of the oven. At first I thought we didn't have enough food, but then we were stuffed, and I saw that we ordered too much! We were there with 9 people and the total bill was only $120. That's only $12 / person! You can't get food that good with $12! So this is a great place for family style dining! read more

Crap. Not worth it for the price. The menu is all over the place. The quality of food is Tasteless. They brought the food out one item at a time. There were only three ppl in our party. The tri tip was cold. I requested it to be well done. That was a fail. The salmon fillet was so small of a portion for the high price. The way they plate the food is terrible. Sides come out on bowls instead of with the meal. The carrot cake was like wayyy too sweet. Nothing to write home about, but enough to post a bad review. The chicken tortilla soup was more cheese than chicken. Like revamp your menu and take pride in the food you are serving. read more
