One of the aforementioned desserts--a chocolate lover's dream!

A long overdue review for one of my favorite Ballard staples. Gorgeous, upscale ambiance (which is rare in Seattle) and consistently delicious food as well as excellent service. The desserts rotate and are consistently incredible and creative--I still think monthly of one I had a few years ago (it had chocolate and some kind of peanut crisp--like a classy and delicious Butterfinger!) . We stopped in for our first wedding anniversary earlier this summer and our server went so out of his way to make our night special; I will never forget it!! This is a great spot for dates and special occasions. The only caveat is that it can get a little loud.

My friend recommended this place and I was excited to try it since it had been on my list for a long time. We shared the charred broccoli to start and it was amazing! Do not miss it. We got the burrata, which we did not realize was like a mini pizza. It was cute, but not sure if it really needed as much bread as it had. The pistachio pesto was yummy though. Then we also shared the papparedelle pasta. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the sauce was pretty good. I might have liked a little but thicker of a sauce. It was not a huge portion, but with the other food it was perfect for sharing. Will have to come back here to try the cocktails as they looked great. The bartender who served us was very friendly and helpful!

Went for brunch on Sunday, got to sit outside since the weather is nice. Very dog friendly! Ordered the Dutch baby, steak and eggs and pepperoni pizza to share. All the food were very tasty and the service was pretty fast! Would come back for brunch again

Really disappointed. Was craving wood-fired pizza. Read all the reviews and couldn't wait to try it. Went down to treat myself to dinner on beautiful night. First, my $35 pizza was burnt but not enough to send it back. It was just ok. And when I asked for a box to take the leftovers home, this is what I got. No pizza box. Got home. No wax paper or foil. All stacked on top of each other and already soggy. So I paid $35 for 2 pizzas of burnt pizza and 4 soggy slices I won't eat. Really unacceptable, especially for a restaurant known for pizza. Def won't be back.

Always love coming here, they change their menu seasonally and it's always fresh, delicious, and inventive! Great drinks, friendly service, can't go wrong with any pizzas or pastas.

Stone burner has been a long time favorite of mine for one reason - the broccoli. It is the best broccoli I've ever had and the vegetable dish I crave the most - the char paired with the creamy tahini is just perfect. Other dishes come and go and are all generally quite good. The ambiance and service are always good. However on my most recent visit I was quite disappointed with the gnocchi. The gnocchi themselves were fantastic but they majorly skimped on the guanciale - I had many bites without any and had to fish around for it.

When you walk into Stoneburner, you'll be welcome by the most amazing smell of delicious baking pizza. The vibe is super cute , we were obsessed with the architecture inside. Everybody is extremely friendly from the hostess to the servers. We started with a salad. Chicory something-not pictured. It was good, but I only didn't love it because of the manchego in it. The apples and hazelnuts were a nice touch. For dinner, we share the bucatini pasta and the potato and mushroom pizza . The pasta was perfectly cooked sauce was not overwhelming . The Pizza had the most amazing crust . The toppings were great. I felt like I was eating perfectly cooked potatoes in addition to eating the pizza. Originally, when I saw another table order the baked Alaska, I thought it was a stack of waffles. The baked Alaska was delicious. It was a perfect shareable dessert. Not pictured was the house pomegranate soda. I felt like it lacked a little flavor and it wasn't very fizzy for soda. Especially at $7 a glass. But I appreciated them trying. I would say my main Takeaway for coming back would be for the pizza .

Lovely place. So beautifully done inside and ample seating both indoors and outdoors. We were a large group and sat outside. Staff was attentive, helpful and friendly. Food was good but the stellar moment was when dessert came over. Oh man, the cheese cake was delicious but the smores chocolate ice cream cake was to die for. I would come back just for that.

We had a lovely evening here. Highlights included the service, and the ambiance. We sat right by the patio which was nice seeing the people passing by. Although I didn't love the pork chop, because it felt over cooked, the drinks, pasta and salad we had were phenomenal. I would come back and try their pizza next time.

So we went here for Father's Day 2024 and I'm so glad we did! It's been a minute since we've been here and the food, service and ambiance were all fantastic! Let's get to it Wild King Salmon: this was probably my least favorite dish as the fish was overcooked, a shame as the flavors were really good and you could tell the parts that were not over cooked promised a delicious dish if done right, the sauces and asparagus complemented it beautifully Charred Broccoli: hands down the best veggie dish I have tasted in a long while, whoa it packs a punch! I loved it so much I stole a piece off my kiddos plate Spot Prawn Aguachile: I had no idea what I was getting myself into here looool but I'm so glad I tried it, everything about it was bright and fresh BUT I probably would have preferred a cooked shrimp dish (sigh I know I'm terrible) Morels Pizza l: SO SO TASTY I love mushrooms, I love morels and I loved this pizza, the confit garlic and potato just added another layer YUM! Dry Aged Toro Steak: now this bad boy was not playing around, it sat on a bed of thinly sliced potato's and oh that salsa verde, but the steak was king here beautifully cooked and seasoned well it was a delicious plate Basque Cheesecake: oh yes I planned for this guy and boy was I glad we indulged a little more, it was heaven! And they even put the fruit compote on the side as I'm not one for cooked fruit. A great finish to the meal, make room for it!!

    Are there vegan options?

I had homemade pasta with veggies Was great don't think it had cheese

Can you bring your dog if you are seated in the outdoor area?

I wouldn't see why not. They don't have a large outdoor area but they do have sling walls in the bar area that opens up the space to the outside.

I'd recommend getting there early and explored the neighborhood while you wait. The restaurant was a bit loud so it's a little hard to chat with big group. We chose the Family Feast option, which came with 3 course of food, desserts. This option is fantastic for big group to share, as well as to try different menu items without having to choose. They brought out a lot of food for each course, and pack up whatever we didn't finish for us to take home. Since their menu changes often, it was a great experience for both first-timers and guests who have been before, to try seasonal menu items. Our first course consisted of 3 dips, grilled medjool dates, anchovies with sourdough, and unlimited pita bread. All of the dips were delicious, and the grilled medjool dates were one of my favorites of the meal. Our second course were summer tomatoes, shaved kohlrabi, and grilled little gems salad with nectarines, and dill emulsion dressing. All of them were so refreshing, and the flavors were on point. The summer tomatoes were sweet. We were already pretty full at this point. Our third course were roasted chicken with chili-fruit paste, and grilled pork with rainier cherry. The chicken was super tender, the chili-fruit paste was not spicy, just the right amount of sweet and spicy. The grilled pork was tender and sweet, it was definitely one of my favorites. Desserts were ice cream and warm cookie with sweet cream. It was absolutely tasty and a great end to the meal. Our server was very attentive and nice. We didn't feel rushed during our time dining here. Overall, the restaurant was super worth the long wait, and I love all the dishes I tried that day.

I arrived 20 minutes before opening and was first in line. One friend joined me 10 minutes later. At 5pm it was just the two of us, so I asked for a table for 4 and explained that I'd happily order food and drinks for everyone immediately, even though the rest of the group was still fighting the weekday traffic. The hostess refused, so we stepped aside. 2 minutes later our 3rd friend arrived. I asked the group behind us if they minded us getting back in line. They laughed and said it was no problem because they had just had their 3rd person arrive as well. When I got back in line, the hostess deliberately skipped over me and called the next group instead. After seating them, I stopped her and asked for a table for 3. She asked if it would "really" be just 3. At that point I honestly didn't know. Our 4th friend was driving from Everett and had texted that she was stuck in standstill traffic. I said yes, seat the 3 of us. The hostess told us to wait while she seated yet another group, taking the last indoor table. We were then placed outside on a hot day. Despite how the evening started, I did exactly what I'd said I would. We ordered dinner for the entire group, including 2 bottles of wine to avoid inconveniencing them with making drinks. Then, incredibly, the hostess came back to our table and removed the 4th chair to make absolutely sure our last friend couldn't join us if she arrived. It felt petty, unnecessary, and frankly embarrassing. What should have been a joyful reunion became a stressful experience because of one person's rigid and unwelcoming attitude. The food was equally inconsistent. The labneh was extremely sour and came with cold, slightly stale pita. The squid & lamb were overly salty. The kohlrabi with peaches was so aggressively smoky that we left almost the entire dish untouched. The mushrooms were fine. The grilled pork was excellent and easily the highlight of the meal. The cod was just okay, and the desserts were average. We spent ~$500 for the meal. People don't spend this kind of money just for the food. The price reflects the entire experience, and that's where this restaurant failed. The service felt cold, impersonal, and overly focused on rules instead of hospitality. Rather than making guests feel welcome, the hostess made us feel like a problem she had to manage. I've had warmer, friendlier service at fast food restaurants. I won't be returning, and I took the time to write this review because no meal, especially one marking such a meaningful reunion, should be overshadowed by such an unnecessarily unpleasant welcome.

Which was part of the reason I visited a few weeks ago. I actually have been wanting to try Yalla for awhile, and just recently figured where it was located. A bit out of my way from work and home, but the day I decided to go was perfect. I was meeting friends at Sake Nomi which doesn't serve food so you're allowed to bring some in. I had two hours to waste so it gave me plenty of time to get up to Capitol Hill and back to Pioneer Square. Yalla is a walk up window with a bench outside to sit but I imagine most people take the food to go. I was sharing the food with five other people so the three mezze dips was the perfect option, I also added the special dip of the day that had 100% proceeds going to help those in Nepal. I also added one of the pressed Saj, the grilled Kefta a lot easier to share. One of my friends wanted the Lamb wrap so that was included in the order as well. Love how fresh the ingredients were. Each dip had distinctively different flavors and textures. Saj was included two different ways to enjoy with the mezze in its soft flatbread form and as a cracker perfect for dipping. My favorites were the Muhummara and the Nuraniye (Zuchinni Dip). I liked the tanginess of the Muhummara and the fresh lemon forward of the Nuraniye. The Kefta was delicious, I need to carry a knife for situations like this when sharing food we ended up ripping off pieces this came with Labneh. Ended up sampling 3 of their wrap options and the Zaatar Wrap was deliciously nutty and fragrant, but texturally there was so many herbs that the center ate a little dry. The Lahme Khuruf (Lamb) was my favorite by far with super juicy ground meat with some tang from the labneh, sweetness, freshness from the tomato, and texture from the pine nuts. Absolute home run on this one! The Awarma and Cheese was a close second, but personally, the flavor profile was just a little less interesting than the lamb.
