I like Stone Creek. It's probably one of my favorite local chains. They typically have good locations, nice amenities, and well-trained, friendly employees. Food: I ordered a London Fog Tea Latte in a mug with a little lavender and a little vanilla. They had a Cherry Pistachio Danish, and the staff member told me it was her favorite, so I went with that. Both items were delicious. The London Fog was nicely frothy. They only had a 12-oz mug, and my preference is usually a 16-oz, but they filled this one right to the top. It could have been a bit hotter. The Danish was excellent. It tasted very fresh, with flaky pastry and a generous amount of filling. It might have benefited from a few more pistachios, but that's a minor nit. Service: My experiences with Stone Creek staff are usually friendly and helpful, and this location was no exception. They were happy to offer their own opinions and recommendations. Atmosphere: This location has a nice feel to it. There is plenty of seating and lots of natural light coming in from the tall windows. Even though it's in a busy area, the inside feels quiet and relaxed. The customers were all having respectful, low-key conversations. read more

Tell me why this random coffee shop I searched up quickly in the middle of travel through Wisconsin ended up having the BEST coffee I've EVER had in my entire life??? I got the iced cinnamon latte decaf with oat milk. It was so smooth, so creamy, so splendid!! Usually coffee with ice starts out creamy and delish, and then it gets watered down more and more as the ice melts. Despite the ice completely melting in this drink after a while (and not even asking for light ice), it stayed the same consistency and was still delicious?? They didn't have soy so I was like oat it is!! Usually oat milk doesn't produce the same creamy and smooth consistency soy milk does. This defied all the odds. If I could drink this every single day, I WOULD! Mark my words!!! Idk if it was the barista who made it, or if it's just genuinely this small Milwaukee chain itself, but I seriously will be raving about this forever and ever hehe! When checking out their seasonal drink menu the Raspberry Sweet Foam Iced Matcha just spoke to me! I love me some matcha and figured it would only be positively elevated when topped with raspberry. Indeed, this drink was damn delicious and refreshing. Surprisingly still not too sweet (always a bummer when anyone over-sweetests matcha imo). The foam was super creamy and light with the perfect touch of berry. Only bummer? The $7+ dollar price tag for a 12oz (small) order. Gesh! Cute coffee shop in mke! Swung through here on our way out of town and enjoyed a nice iced vanilla bean latte and blueberry muffin. I like that they let me adjust the sweetness of the beverage, and were able to make a decaf version of the same drink for my mom. The blueberry muffin was super yummy too! We were in and out quick (shout out to the efficient staff working) and our drinks kept us fueled for the drive back to Chicago. I will definitely visit again next time I'm in the area. read more

I live so close to the Stone Creek Coffee on Downer Ave. that I haven't ventured out much to the others in the city. Waiting for another business to open, I decided to stop by this one and read for a while. It's in such a convenient location, near grocery stores, the mall, and restaurants. It is a good bit small than the one on Downer, but it didn't really matter to me. Found a seat easily after I ordered my iced oat milk latte. It was pretty busy inside with people working on laptops, reading, or chatting with a friend. The baristas were super friendly, took my order, and quickly it was waiting for me. The inside of the coffee shop is very open and airy. A good amount of space for groups to meet or just hang out by yourself. It is winter so the patio wasn't open, but I imagine that would be a great spot during the summer. I'll have to revisit this summer and sit outside. A fun change up in my regular coffee shop routine! read more

I'm finally sitting down to write a review of this place after coming here off and on for the last two years! Inside is cozy and comfortable enough to hang out and read for a while. The music is on pretty loud, so if you're someone who needs a quiet environment - this isn't the place. For some reason, I function better with lots of activity around me! Service has been consistently friendly and professional. I love that my barista even reminded me to get my free refill after I finish my first cup of coffee. I like the coffee here; which, in my opinion, is higher quality than Starbucks. I don't usually eat breakfast, so I'm not sure about the quality of food - other than the banana bread (which is yummy btw). If you are a remote worker / student, the tables are big enough for a laptop, but not a second portable screen. Outlets are plentiful, so that's a bonus! This is conveniently located close to home for me, so I will definitely be back! read more

Love this location of Stone Creek. The interior is modern and welcoming. In addition to a rich menu of specialty coffee beverages, they have a pastry case full of goodness. I tend toward savory pastries and they had a vegetable ricotta bun that rocked socks. As for coffee, I'm a fan of their white mocha. We go here all the time. It's like a place for people who are tired of Starbucks. I really wish these were more widespread over the US. The staff is very very nice and will talk to you. The actual food is good not great but the whole experience overshadowed that. There are many windows and a great place to do anything else. There are even dog treats. This is my first time trying Stone Creek Coffee at this location. Cute and cozy little cafe, busy yet spacious and welcoming. I love how it has big glass windows and facing the main road so it's got a lovely feel to it. I also noticed they had lovely mugs and Tshirts and one of the cool ones I saw for kids was "Future Coffee geek" - super cute! I ended up ordering the Lavender cappuccino for myself and Mochha for my husband. Both were brilliant. I tasted the mochha and it was a deep chocolate and not too sweet which made it really stand out. It was delicious. The Lavender was great too.. flavorful yet not overwhelmingly sweet. I also got the almond and chocolate croissants and they both were amazing too. I can't wait to come back again and this time grab a seat in one of those glass windows and enjoy the view. read more

While I may be a bit partial to the Stone Creek in Whitefish Bay--it being the first Stone Creek and all--I've made my trek many times, either on foot or via bus, to this location in Glendale. All of this, in terms of the North shore, as other locations have their charm as well. So, what's so cool about this one that has often inspired a 20-25 minute northbound walk on Port Washington Rd.? It is spacious. It has a comfy couch by the Green Tree entrance. The staff is nice and attentive. The bathrooms are always clean and are now gender-neutral. It's easy to spend a couple of hours + reading or working on projects there. It's pretty quiet, overall, and just cozy. And, if you need a quick lunch break, Samurai is a few steps away. You could also do some grocery shopping to complete your Glendale adventure. Bus stops (route 63) on Green Tree, or a bit south by Pick and Save. read more

I've made near-weekly visits to this Stone Creek over the course of the past year, and it offers a solid cafe experience. I love the environment, with many windows and a comfortable, rustic industrial decor. I love Stone Creek's vibe, and their artistic merchandise (although I haven't bought any, I always admire it...) As for the coffee, it is OK, but I am not blown away by it. It's coffee, it works. Once I was experimental and ordered some sort of ginger chai latte creation -- it was terrible. I thought it tasted like I was drinking a bath bomb Lush product. That's OK, now I know and will stick to more normal drinks. I stop here with my kids for hot chocolates and chocolate covered coffee beans and that's always fun. The couch in the back is now gone and now there are more tables and chairs. I understand why -- today I am here in the morning and the place is bustling. I am normally here on weekday afternoons or weekends when it's more chill. The service is always friendly and Stone Creek has a frequent buyer punch card for regulars. read more

Stone Creek is a solid fave MKE coffee spot for me! The baristas are friendly and well-trained--they have some of the most consistently made beverages for a local chain which I think is important. They also don't make their drinks scalding hot (aka the correct way lol)! They make my favorite chai latte and Mexican hot chocolate. They used to have my favorite bakery, but this past year I found the quality wasn't always there (minus a star for me). I do enjoy their cookies, some of their pastries and they have AMAZING yogurt/chia/granola parfaits. They also setup each cafe in a way that is trendy and inviting. Stopped at Stone Creek after visiting Doctors Park for the first time to grab some coffee as it was initially an overcast day. It was early afternoon and not crowded at Stone Creek but definitely some people sitting around working and enjoying their coffee. I appreciate that they still have plenty of seating availability, as Starbucks tries to shift people into smaller and smaller spots so you're just getting coffee to-go. I think it's a valuable business strategy to compete that people will stick around and work and hang out. Their coffee has always been a favorite of mine, and it was no exception this day. I tried a latte that had honey in it, I think it might have been a Summer limited time option and it was divine. We took it to sit outside, as they have a beautiful patio area with plenty of seating as well. The sun made an appearance to round out our visit. Definitely will stop back here if we're back in the area again. read more

Only qualm is that they've recently struggled getting up and running on time in the morning. Was here every morning last winter at 6am sharp and was met with an open door, hot coffee, and the la marzoccos fired up and ready to go. Following what seems to be some heavy turnover, this has not been the case in the past few months; several times the shop is still locked up past 6am or isn't up and running and ready to get people out the door. Kind of a bummer for a coffee shop - for people with long commutes you plan on being able to pop in once the shop is scheduled to open to get coffee. Until recently it's never been a problem. I lived next to stone Creeks's roasting facility for two years and frequented this location for a year and got coffee everyday the moment their doors opened without issue. Upsetting comparison to yesterday where no employees could be found and all lights were off 15 minutes past opening with a parking lot of folks looking for Joe. To be fair the weather sucked, but I just wish this wasn't turning into a regular occurrence. Easy 5 stars if they get up and running regularly at their scheduled opening time. read more

This certainly isn't my favorite Stone Creek location, but it does the trick. It's amazing how just a few miles makes for a completely different experience. While at the Radio MKE and Intermodal/factory locations, Stone Creek baristas are rocking the modbar, V60s, and general coffee nerd-ery supreme, at this location on Port Washington, a large chalkboard introduces folks to the concept of pour over coffee and encourages them to "try something new today." Make sense. I have lots of theories on the invisible line in the metro sand that separates locavores' mindsets, eating/drinking and spending habits. If you're really that interested, talk to me about it sometime. I think it's important to try new things, generally speaking, no matter where you reside.(Enough with my opinions. Wait. Isn't that what this thing's about?) Anywhoo... For those of you that live more North Shore (i.e., Whitefish Bay, Glendale, Fox Point, etc.) this would make a great go-to. Stone Creek's coffee is pretty wicked good, and while this location is pretty compact, it's got all the requisite SC goodies: homemade biscuits and jam, cider drinks, fancy coffee bevs, pour over goodness, etc. Knock the Starbucks habit and support local, you NorthernShorers! read more

Stone Creek is not just for latte geeks. If you like a regular cup of brewed coffee, you have plenty of choices. For those in a time crunch, the regular drip coffee is nice. I don't notice any of the burnt notes you'll find at the green mermaid... But if you have more time than just a grab-and-go brew, I highly recommend trying a V60, Aeropress or Chemex. These are three alternate ways of extracting flavor from the coffee bean. Pick your method, then pick your bean. I've always been partial to beans grown at altitude in Central America. Stone Creek does not disappoint in this department. I really like their offerings from El Salvador, Costa Rica and Guatemala. Oh, and for you latte geeks, do yourself a favor and try the cardamom spice latte. It'll make you happy Wisconsin has a nice long winter...well, almost! read more

Confession: I am compulsively early. I hate being late, so I usually overcompensate by leaving early -- and frequently, arriving early. So when I hear "there's a little construction along I-94" and "Summerfest is happening" I assume this will mean Chicago-level backups, and leave a full hour early to get to a friend's engagement party. Which made me hilariously, ridiculously early, because traffic was not the least bit impeded. Enter Stone Creek Coffee. It was right where I needed it to be. The bathroom was clean and cozy. The barista was friendly and helpful. And the Thai Iced Coffee I settled on (plus chocolate chip cookie) was just the right thing to take the edge off after dealing with highway traffic. The atmosphere is great, too, with comfy leather chairs and couches to sink into, or the more traditional table & chairs. The coffee was excellent, and I read all about how they roast their own beans in the wholesale catalog I picked up. They have a full menu of iced and hot beverages, plus baked goods galore. Not sure about more lunchy or savory options. I'm not in the Milwaukee area super-often, but you better believe I'm going to figure out where the other Stone Creek stores are, so that the next time I'm ridiculously early on a trip up north, I can kill some more time at one of these fab little coffee shops. read more

I'm here a couple times a week and absolutely love it. Whether you need a quick cup to go or you want to stay and chat or work, it's a great place. I love the brewed coffee--Best in Milwaukee IMO. I love that at least half the staff knows me by name, and that if Andrew of Natalie are behind the bar, I'm sure to get a warm welcome. Stone Creek has been my favorite spot for coffee for 6 years now. Each of the Milwaukee area "chain" places have their star qualities (starbucks makes the best iced mocha, cedarburg coffee has the best staff, Alterra has the best food choices....) but Stone Creek, by far is the best tasting coffee for me. I love that you get a free latte with a bean purchase, and the free pound punch card. There is a closer Stone Creek than this one, to my house, but I drive here for the service and parking.
