I have no idea what the name means, but this café reminded me of when I lived in Los Angeles. I had assumed it was a matcha latte, but was pleasantly surprised that it was more of a refresher - similar to a more-common matcha lemonade. The mango nectar went well with the matcha to balance each other out and I would suggest this happen at more places! My girlfriend got the Filipino Breakfast Sammy (my anticipated meal). This also came on a nice focaccia, with some cheese and a nice square egg. The Filipino aspects felt a bit off to me, with the longanisa patty not having the bouncy texture I was accustomed to, and was much more peppery than sweet, a sweet additional sauce would have been nice. I also think the atchara could have also been more pickled. For her drink, she got a Tiramisu Latte. This wasn't actually on the menu, but they let her make the Tiramisu Cold Brew into a latte. There wasn't much of a difference than a normal latte, so there was that. We're used to mega sugar coffee, so this wasn't really for us. The space itself was very cozy and felt very communal. Overall, there seemed to be lots of appreciation for Asian culture in the space as well as the menu. I think maybe our picks weren't too much for us, but I think they do have other options that may have been more up our alley. I will say however, I wish they had other milk options beyond oat and whole milk. I say this with no means to complain, but both of those milk are very 'heavy' so whenever something like skim or almond is available, that's a personal preference for sure. They had a variety of baked goods to choose from- we opted for the cinnamon roll and the seasonal danish. We also ordered a cappuccino and an americano. The baked goods we had were okay. We were disappointed they wouldn't heat up the cinnamon roll, the reason they gave us was because the frosting would run and be messy. So the cinnamon roll wasn't very enjoyable. I liked the filling on the seasonal danish but I asked for it heated up and it was served at room temp. The coffee was good- we both thought it was weak for our liking but it had good flavor. Also to note, this place is very family-friendly. When we were in, there were a lot of children and families enjoying the space. I would love to come back and try the monkey bread; they were sold out when we arrived this morning and we were told it's a top-seller.

Food: I checked online before coming, and they have an impressive list of drinks, both hot and cold. We ordered a couple of lattes. Mine was a London Fog Tea Latte (a little lavender, a little vanilla) in a mug, and hers was a Coffee Vanilla Latte with almond milk. They did a great job with both of them. My London Fog had great flavor, well-textured foam, and was a good temperature. They did leave the tea bag in, which might be their standard practice, but I prefer the tea to be fully steeped and then have the bag removed. Otherwise, removing the bag later messes with all the wonderful foam (next time I would ask). Each of us got a scone. Mine was blueberry, and hers was white chocolate raspberry, warmed up and plated. Both were very good. If I had to be completely honest, these scones are more like muffins than traditional scones. However, they were both delicious. Service: As soon as we walked up to the counter, it was nothing but friendly vibes and helpful service. They stepped us through the details of the order ("whole milk okay, how much flavor, etc."). They didn't rush the orders and took their time getting them right. When the bakery items were heated up, they brought them to our table. There are café tables outside that would be great on a warmer day. When you enter, you are taken back in time. The vibe is authentic and relaxed. Much of the interior looks like it may be from long ago. It's a bit cluttered, which could be distracting, but I think it fits. There are enough windows to bring in a good amount of natural light.
