Nothing fantastic about this place. Just another those Americanized Chinese place. The rice is better than I expected tho

I used to stop here on my way back in to town and it was always a hole in the wall eatery that had good food. The eggrolls were my favorite and I always got shrimp fried rice. Ok so TODAY, I walk up to the joint and I thought it was closed but the "Open" light was on. I go in and was in shock for how bad this place looks now. It was never nice but really shocked to see the decline in its appearance. I ordered eggrolls and shrimp fried rice as usual. The food is different too. Eggrolls still had the good stuff on the inside but they were so greasy like maybe they had already been fried and set aside and then put back in the hot grease to warm them up??? The shrimp fried rice was good. I love how they put so many vegetables in it. It has onions, peas, carrots, mushrooms, celery, zucchini, egg and shrimp. Unfortunately, the shrimp they are using now are not as good as they used to be. It was missing a char taste that you get from a well seasoned wok. Like how they used to taste. I'm so disappointed. I probably wont go back. Please clean up the place and serve fresh eggrolls again.

While this may be a nice place for some American Chinese food. This is definitely not a great place for some authentic Chinese food.

Eh, it's just okay. It's not my favorite Chinese place in Mebane but it is the only other place I will eat if my first choice is closed.

Not that great...egg roll tasted a bit off. Small portions for paying $9 for spicy chicken dinner combo. Way too much sauce.

Great buffet on weekdays! Just wish they had it on the weekends, as well.. Always get lots to eat and their rangoon is scrumptious!

We started with the Pimento Cheese Hushpuppies, which I had high hopes for. They were a bit over‑fried and dry, with more breading than cheesy center, and the jalapeño bacon jam was watery and didn't quite complement the hushpuppies. That said, the concept is fun, and with a thicker, chunkier jam, I think they'd really shine. The Fried Oysters, however, were a completely different story. Perfectly breaded, not overly heavy, and full of flavor. My husband--who's keto and peeled the breading off--still commented on how good the oysters themselves were. If anything, we just wished the portion was bigger. The star of the starters for me was the She Crab Soup. Creamy, rich, and loaded with crab. It was one of those dishes you keep going back to between bites of everything else. And here's my pro tip: dip the hushpuppies into the soup. It transformed them from dry to delicious, and I even suggested to our server that the kitchen consider offering them together. For my entrée, I had the Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos with a side of pasta salad. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the Thai‑inspired sauce had a sweet kick that I honestly wish there had been more of. The pasta salad was classic but surprisingly good--fresh, balanced, and better than most versions I've had lately. My husband ordered the Salmon & Shrimp Scampi, swapping the pasta for extra spinach to stay keto. Both proteins were cooked beautifully, full of flavor, and plated generously. Overall, the meal had a few highs and a couple of misses, but the quality of the ingredients and the creativity of the menu make this a place I'd absolutely visit again. With a little fine‑tuning on a few items, 2 Twelve has the potential to be truly exceptional.

My meal, the Charleston Crab Cakes, was really good too (I asked that they put the creamed corn on the side -- the crab cakes will come on top of the creamed corn if you don't make a special request). But when (not if) we return, I will be ordering the seafood pasta for sure because it was that good! A friend recommended the pork chops and the burgers. The ambience is quaint and the indoor dining space is very small and cozy. There was a bit of a wait when we arrived. I recommend making a reservation if you don't want to dine outdoors. It was January so too cold for us to eat outdoors because there is no heating and the overhead fans were on! Also, please bring a little patience for parking because this restaurant is in an area of downtown with limited parking.

Rating: "False Advertising & Inedible Food - Don't Waste…read moreYour Money" I wish I could give this place zero stars. My wife and I visited this Ruby Tuesday today, and it was a complete disaster from start to finish. We ordered the Fried Catfish & Crispy Shrimp, expecting the generous, golden-brown platter shown on their website (which is priced at $22.49 online, though the receipt showed $17.99). What we actually received was an absolute joke. The portions were so tiny and pathetic that my wife--who literally never complains--had to ask the waitress if they had accidentally brought her a kids' meal. Not only was the portion size deceptive, but the quality was disgusting. Everything was dripping in old grease and tasted foul. It looked nothing like the marketing photos. When we brought this up to the waitress, Dana B, she was completely dismissive, simply stating, "No, that's just the way it comes here." The service was the "icing" on the cake. Our waitress seemed happy to serve us this garbage and acted like receiving complaints was a normal, everyday occurrence. To make matters worse, we overheard the couple behind us complaining about their meal as well. Instead of apologizing, the waitress actually laughed it off and told them, "That's the coupon plate." It is clear this management has no pride in their food or their service. We ended up paying over $50 for a meal that was essentially inedible. We will never eat here again and will make sure to warn everyone we know to stay far away from this location.
