Went back to Ciao Pizza today for lunch and it was excellent. The server handled my food allergies perfectly. I had the Veal Piccatta which had a rich lemony caper sauce (as it should) and the veal was not too heavily breaded which was nice. Others in our party had the Spinach Ravioli, the Spaghetti with meatballs, and a Grilled Chicken salad. All of our orders were done very well. A nice place to dine when you are in Mebane. read more

I have been here 4 times. The first time I ordered a steak and cheese sub and that wasn't hitting on very much. I went a second time about a yr or so ago go and got the chicken sofia..... and OMG it was amazingly delicious. Last night 03/04/2026 I went and oredred a pepperoni pizza for hubby and I wanted the Bianca pizza that has ricotta for the base tomato, spinach, broccoli, that one was ok. That pepperoni pizza was so freaking amazingly delicious we went back today 03/05/2026 to get another pepperoni pizza, AND JUST WHEN WE THOUGHT IT COULND'T GET ANY BETTER, it was just that good!!!! Well my first plate was a house side salad with ranch. The ranch was home made and watery and the salad it self seemed bland/ weak. Tomatoes were soggy olives were also a bit soft. Me and my finance ordered a small pepperoni pizza and a cheese steak and fries to split. Our pizza was given to the wrong table and the waitress allowed the pizza to stay for 5 minutes while she tried to figure out where it was supposed to go. The table it went to continued to say we did not touch it. (As if we cared). The waitress came out and brought the rest of their food and then took that pizza back to the back. Moments later she re appeared with anther pizza and when asked if it was the same pizza she was honest and had a new one made. The pizza when brought out was very greasy and average at best: the cheese steak was not impressive at all and meat lacked seasoning. It was also lined with the same soft ahh lettuce and tomatoes as the salad! Only pros were the very good customer service and friendliness of the staff. I don't recommend this place as a date not spot but buddies grabbing beers to talk shop may better suit this place (maybe not) haha Any way staff was dope legggoooo read more

I arrived after the lunch hour when asked what I would like to have, I said I had know idea and asked for suggestions. The waitress offered several suggestions. The food is really good. However, if you do not eat something that is normally added to a dish they prepare, you should check it before you leave to ensure that item was not added. Like it you ask for the house salad with no olives. They will remake it but you will know they wasn't happy to do so. read more

We are fairly new to Mebane but highly recommend Ciao Pizza. My husband and I often get the seafood far diavlo. Delicious. Love their pasta sauces and pizza too. We've tried others in the area but find theirs to be the best. The wait staff is very friendly too. read more

There was a good amount of tomato sauce on my sandwich & the chicken was good, but I would have liked a little more to contrast the amount of bread. We ordered a house salad, hot wings and the large chicken pizza. At first glance, the pizza box looked small for a large but the pizza was a good size. This is the best pizza you're going to find in Mebane without question. The owner (from Naples) is such a nice guy and is always very helpful and kind. I can't live without their margarita pizza and their calzones! They make a really delicious tiramisu as well. If you like authentic Neapolitan pizza this is the closest you're going to get around here! read more

We ordered takeout from this place last night and it really hit the spot. We ordered a Sicilian pizza and hot wings. The hot wings were some of the best I've ever had! They were served with blue cheese but they let us get ranch and blue cheese. Their ranch was amazing!! It tasted homemade. Wish I could buy it by the bottle! Our pizza had pepperoni, real Italian sausage, green peppers, black olives, and mushrooms. The sausage was incredible! We will definitely check this place out next time we are in Mebane. By far one of the best pizza places in NC! As a native New Yorker, finding a decent pie down here can be a struggle! Ciao hits it out of the park every time. I was very pleasantly surprised by this place. I was traveling with my family and pizza was the one thing the kids would agree on. I admit that I was apprehensive when we pulled up and saw that it was in a strip by the Wal-Mart. I got a delicious sandwich with outstanding homemade potato chips. Pizza is decent but their customer service is lacking when they make a mistake. Ordered 2 pizzas and wing for pickup. One of the pizzas had wrong topping so they did offer to remake that one. This is good but I stated that the other pizza and wings would be getting g cold while waiting. Did t offer to make entire order over or just ask if I wanted the one pizza for free. Ciao is owned and run by Italians, and by Italians I mean people who moved here from Italy. They know Italian food, or probably more correctly, Italian-American food. Everything I've had there has been excellent, but the pizza and stromboli really stand out. They are the best in this part of North Carolina. So when you need take-out pizza, stromboli, calzones, or any Italian food, don't even think of calling that nasty Domino's or Papa John's.
