Very Disappointed! Party of 7 for Saturday night buffet. 4 got buffet. 3 ordered sandwiches. 40 minutes later waitress said cook made error and had to remake. 10 min later she delivered 2 sandwiches. 10 more min later the 3 rd sandwich came out burnt...which I refused and said cancel. Now bear in mind by the time the sandwiches came out the buffet eaters were finished eating. They also had to wait and wait for pizza...asked for pepperoni twice and it was not put out. Everything on their lunch buffet was subpar except for the tomato soup. The pizza was greasy and tasteless. There was a total of maybe three varieties of pizza through lunch time. The salad bar did not appear fresh and was rather sad looking. Their cobbler was mushy and inedible. The only thing worth having was their tomato soup. It was a creamy, delicate, balance of savory and tartness. I would go back just for their tomato soup, actually. This place is very popular with the locals. The staff is friendly. We got takeout pizza so my review is just on the pizza. My spouse ordered the thicker crust and it was reminiscent of the popular chain's pan pizza. Our neighbor recommended Fursty's as an alternative to the chains, and other local, Bona Pizza. We had tried their pizza previously and found it good, so popped in to try the buffet after a day of perusing estate sales. The restaurant was pretty busy, but a server was clearing a booth near the buffet as we walked in, so we hovered over her until it was ready. The buffet, itself, was similar to the Pizza Hut I used to work at in Minnesota 20-odd years ago, with a variety of pizzas, breadsticks, and salad offerings, as well as soup (plain tomato, really?), and a dessert. The pizzas and desserts were turning over pretty quickly, so they were always fresh and a decent variety (no specialty pizzas, however). There was a staffer on hand most all the time keeping the salad components equally fresh. Kudos, also, to our server, Kayla, for keeping our drinks fresh and empty plates cleared. read more

I love Fursty's Pizza. Their pizza is my favorite in town, and their salad bar is always stocked and fresh. I'm not however a fan of the pizza bar. I feel like the price is too high for the selection of pizza. People are usually eyeing the bar and as soon as a pepperoni pizza is put up you have to run up to get a slice. If you're not first in line, you might as well forget it. I just don't like having to fight like it's Black Friday to get my food. The wait staff has always been very nice and made sure we've had drink refills. I recommend just ordering whatever pizza you like for the table, you won't be disappointed! read more

My picture are terrible! But this place was pretty cool. I stopped by on my way into Reidsville. The first time I stopped in on a Thursday, I believe I had just missed the buffet so I said I'll be back. Other buffets use a glove during COVID for each trip. They didn't have gloves, I asked how Is this being handled they mentioned they clean or switch out the utensils frequently. I really recommend the plastic gloves for safer and sanitation purposes but I returned on a Sunday. It was really packed but they accommodated us. They have THE BEST SALAD BAR!!! I love it and very reasonable prices. I believe the buffet was $7.49 for all you can eat, including the salad bar. Call and check ahead of the time for buffet days. The food here is pretty good. A great place to take a large group. Nice fresh salad bar that has a worker on it when they are busy. They do a lot better now than in the past about keeping the buffet stocked on Sunday lunch time. Except for the cinnamon sticks. Don't bother with the chocolate pudding cake, but the apple pie is awesome! Just needs ice cream to go with it! read more

Figured we would try it again. Nope...still sucks. Only thing going for them is the pizza. Ham and cheese melt for $11 had a whopping two thin pieces of ham on it. Came out about 10 minutes after a pizza did. No refills offered, no follow up from the server, still is not good. What a shame! Great special that they are running right now. Grilled Chicken Cordon Blue Sandwich. I had it for lunch today and it was the best sandwich in Reidsville. Cooked perfect and juicy. I chose fries. They were nice and crispy. Really good seasoning on them as well. Service was excellent! read more

I like Fursty's Pizza every now and then, their pizza is a little different than most, the crust is like a crispy thin cracker crust, they do offer pan pizza if you want the thicker chewier crust. They have a lunch buffet that usually has 5 or 6 different pizzas at a time along with a very nice salad bar and will usually have a couple of dessert options on the buffet, the apple cobbler with raisins is really good. Always had good service and good food here at Fursty's. read more

Service is hit or miss. There is either a great waiter or you never see them. The food is descent and the lunch bar has some descent stuff.

One of the best spots for pizza in town. Joe always speaks when you come in and the waitstaff is always nice and friendly. The buffet bar at lunch is always full of fresh hot pizza and wait times are minimal even during the busy lunch time rush. You can also order off the menu and be guaranteed your meal will be made to order with the freshest ingredients. With Fursty's it's all about knowing when to go! Growing up, it was in Madison and Mayodan and they had delivery! Wich would be great if they had that now! Now, I always go during lunch or Saturday evening for the all you can eat! The taste is still what I remember as a teenager! And great memories are in the air Everytime I taste there pizza! This joint is a rip off. They advertise $10.99 for a medium pizza with one topping. When you go topay, they charge $1.50 for that one topping. They say the cheese (that you didn't ask for) is your one topping. What other restaurant charges extra for cheese? Also charge .50 for water because the cashier says they have a water a bill to pay. This used to be my favorite Reidsville restaurant but based on my experience tonight I will think twice about returning. My boyfriend got the buffet and the pizza selection was lacking and even after we were there for an hour, they hadn't made one dessert pizza. It was always 'on its way'. I order a meal from the menu and after about 25 minutes of waiting for it and my boyfriend being full already, I asked the waitress where my food was and she said 'oh uh I think it's coming out'. 7 minutes later they came out with a meal half as good as what I usually get with no acknowledgement of my long wait. Stopped by here for their buffet. They have a pretty basic salad bar with all the usual suspects and ranch dressing that was so thin it was basically colored water. The pizza crust had about as much flavor as white bread, and the sauce was basically ketchup. Skimpy, boring toppings didn't help either. I would take Digiorno over this again. read more

I love their salad bar and pizza if you eat in. I am a nurse in the surrounding area and love to get a pizza to eat for my lunch break. I ordered a medium pizza (14 inches) and had a total of 14 peperoni on the pizza. There was so little cheese that I could see each individual piece melted which was pretty much a pizza with pizza crust with marina sauce. Very disappointed in the quality. Don't listen to the last reviewer. Is Fursty's more expensive than a chain pizza place? Yes, but that's because they're a small, locally owned business, not a huge retail chain. You pay more for quality. They make their dough fresh every day and throw out whatever hasn't been used by the end of the night. (I know because I've asked the owners if they've ever thought about making whole wheat crust, and he explained their take on freshness, etc.) The pizza is delicious, the salad bar is large and immaculately maintained, and the staff and owners are always super friendly. Even the pasta salad on the salad bar is made fresh daily...the owner even gave me the recipe when I asked for it. My family eats at Fursty's fairly often, and I would recommend them to anyone. (And if you're not into pizza, their subs, calzones, and strombolis are all super yummy, too.) If you're interested in supporting locally owned businesses, this is one that's worth supporting. read more
