Fantastic!! First time in and already looking forward to going back. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Indoor and outdoor seating. It was nice out yesterday evening, so we sat outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our waitress was kind and attentive. I ordered angel hair pasta in vodka sauce and added broccoli, mushrooms and spinach. Absolutely delicious. Hands down the best vodka sauce I've ever eaten. My husband had the lasagna and said it was wonderful, as well. Italian is my favorite; so glad we found a new date night spot!!

I've heard a lot about this restaurant, so we finally decided to visit Di Lisio's for an anniversary dinner. We went at about 7:00 pm on a Tuesday evening and had to wait around 30 minutes for a table for two. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is very small and a bit cramped, so it seems like the normal is to expect a wait.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The main dining area is very loud if the restaurant is full, so if you prefer a quieter setting, I'd opt for outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was very friendly and attentive, patiently answering questions and returning to check on us. We were served bread with oil, and while the bread was average, the oil was excellent! We also ordered a side house salad and a side cesar salad, both of which were decent. We ordered the Trio special (eggplant parmesan, fettuccine alfredo, and lasagna) and the Risotto Mare e Monti. Neither of these dishes were standouts for us -- they weren't bad by any means, they just weren't incredible. Fettuccine alfredo was my favorite overall. The service boosted our opinions for sure. While we didn't love love the food, we'd be down to go back and try different things next time.

Omg this place was amazing. Food was to die for. And that's what you want at an Italian restaurant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I did not actually go into this place as we ate outside in the courtyard. It was lovely but I'm sure the ambiance was quite different inside than outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] However our sever was very nice. We never felt rushed or pressured to hurry along. My friend and I were there to eat and catch up and enjoy some good food. And we did. It was all excellent, the appetizers (we got two), the arancini and the burrata cheese caprese... chefs kiss. We got salads and nothing special pasta but we both commented on how soft and lovely the pasta was. It was perfectly cooked. And the tiramisu was the perfect finish... Will be back.

It's been a few years since I was here so time for a update! What can I say though really nothing has changed ! It's still awesome , great food, drinks and service. This place always delivers. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the cozy local atmosphere and this place is still packing them in everyday.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Luckily we snagged a bar seat so we didn't have to wait for a table. Got a bottle of bubbly to start and the Brushetta which was so good and fresh and that olive oil is so good. Went with the scallop risotto for dinner and I got a full plate ! Sage risotto was yummy and comfort food esque. Scallops were perfect . My friend had the burrata and wow on the presentation. Pretty big app just so you know. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I loved sitting at the bar and watching the bustle of the evening[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. The staff are so nice here too. Want great Italian ? This is where you should be!

Gnocchi with vodka sauce

It's all about the sauces! All of them. Really enjoyed the vodka sauce, pesto, and arrabiata sauces. I really appreciated that our waitress customized our dishes with us being vegetarian. Eggplant parm was my favorite item followed by the gnocchi. Service was fast as well. Definitely recommend and will return.

I went to Di Lisio's and had a pleasurable experience. When I went at the time I had their fried ravioli to start. They really are a delight. Crispy and tasty, really a great appetizer they have to offer. My main course was recommend by my waitress the Chicken Cacciatore. Now I will say I wasnt blown away by it, but the chicken and mushrooms did taste nicely. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is a small place and the inside can get packed very quickly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Though the service was great, and multiple people tended to me if I needed anything. Would love to try again and if you're in the area, would recommend you give it a try.

When my husband and I first visited Winston-Salem, we went to Di Lisio's and ordered special items that were not our favorite, so in coming back again, we knew we were going to go classic. This time, it did not disappoint! The portions are insane. We had leftovers to last two more meals at home. It was so yummy! I was happy that I got to enjoy it again. The service was quick and friendly, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]it is such a cozy restaurant![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My husband and I really had a great time.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Perfect place for a date, or to indulge yourself to a delicious dinner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The attention and service was exceptional, we had such a good time here, their staff was very friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The food was delicious, and the place with the dim lights it's so romantic![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We were impressed by everything. They don't take reservations and the bar was packed so we waited outside. A server came out and offered to bring us drinks while we waited. The drinks were good and much more reasonably priced than most cocktail bars. Every server we observed was excellent. It's obvious that they hire and train them well. The food was excellent! My wife absolutely loved the truffle risotto that I substituted for the gnocchi that normally comes with my dish. An excellent restaurant that we're only just discovering after eating in W-S for over a decade.

Chicken parmigiana was amazing.

My wife and I took our adult daughter to Di Lisio's for her birthday and enjoyed our meal immensely. The wait staff were very friendly and responsive. I enjoyed the chicken parmigiana. It was amazing, as well as, my wife's and daughter's meal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The setting was quaint, but a little noisy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We'll definitely be back.

Five Stars all the way! I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana. I got two nice, tender pieces of chicken. The dish was perfectly cooked and tasted excellent. My wife got the Eggplant Rollatini. We did get a doggie bag. The eggplant had a base of spinach, which my wife said was quite different. She couldn't decide if the spinach added to the dish or not. A nice touch was including spoons for the pasta. Friendly, and efficient service.

Chicken parmesan with the chunky marinara instead of their house tomato sauce (which my friend loves as well).

So good as usual. The portions are very ample, I can get 3 meals out of the make your own pasta. The garlic marinara is my absolute favorite.

I'm so glad I finally made it here! It has been on my list for quite some time now. I met up with a friend last week for a holiday catch up. We arrived at 7pm on Wednesday and were able to sit at the bar immediately. This is a very small, honestly overcrowded place, but helps to make it feel cozy and inviting. Parking is tight, but we both lucked out with nearby street parking within a block of the restaurant. The bartender was nice and gave us time to peruse the menu. For drinks, my friend got a riesling and I tried the festive cranberry martini. We split the toasted ravioli appetizer and each got a pasta dish for our entree. The ravioli was tasty and came with a delicious red sauce. Also, their bread and oil (with pesto) was really good too, and I'm not really a huge fan of bread to begin with! I had the chicken marsala and my friend got the pacheri montese. We both really enjoyed our entrees, great portions, I had enough leftovers for both lunch and dinner the next day! Pretty standard prices, all in all a nice meal here. I'll be back the next time I'm craving Italian again!

I am a bit disappointed. This Italian restaurant is not for the traveler that has actually been to…read moreItaly because it will bend reality for you with sadness since this is not what you'd expect. The tagliatelle was not made with ragú that was marinara. Where was the red sauce?! It was like a light beef broth with noodles from chicken noodle soup. The nonna's baked ziti was a bit disappointing as well. It tasted as if nonna was cooking for someone with high blood pressure and didn't know how to substitute salt for better seasonings. Also why wasn't the Italian sausage baked within the baked ziti? Why offer a meat option if you're not going to add it in. The arancini was cheesy but it lacked the creaminess that it should have that adds to the flavor. The creamy burrata and prosciutto was probably the star of this experience. It was tasty, spicy, and delicious. The server was nice and prompt so I did enjoy her.

We ordered the Arancini di Riso for an appetizer and it tasted delicious. We just wish we had 4 instead of 2. I ordered Salsiccia pizza and it tasted wonderful. I appreciated the balance of the dish and that I had plenty leftover. My husband ordered the Beef Short Ribs Barbaresco and said the short ribs were tender and the tomato jam added a sweet note. I also had Sparkling Strawberry Lemonade and it tasted delicious refreshing and was a great option for those who don't want alcohol. Our server for this experience did a wonderful job and I would recommend this place to others.

The original Stromboli is one of my all-time favorites. It's baked to perfection with a golden, crispy crust, gooey melted mozzarella, and the perfect balance of savory pepperoni and salami in every bite. Their lasagna is hands down one of the best I've ever had, with rich, homemade flavor in every bite. If you're craving a sandwich, the Philly cheesesteak is a must-try--tender, flavorful, and always cooked to perfection. And don't skip dessert! The strawberry gelato is so creamy and refreshing, the perfect way to end your meal. Pair it with a glass of Peach Moscato, and you've got an amazing dining experience.
