I ended up calling the store because I wasn't able to leave a tip online and wanted to be sure I was able to leave a tip and the nice young lady said no could write one on the receipt. She was very polite and kind over the phone which made the ambiance great. The delivery driver was so sweet. She engaged in conversation with my little munchkin which was so nice. The food was good. I ordered the salad with no protein but all the veggies and it was delicious! My fiancé ordered the HERCULES and he likes the bread of the pizza. He thought it's too sweet for a pizza. Yet again I find myself craving some pizza, the only thing is I didn't feel like pizza hut. I wanted to give another place a chance. I put the order in at GrubHub for a pie and waited to see if it was worth it. I waited for over an hour, not Mimi's fault, as it was delayed for some reason. When it was delivered, it was still a bit warm, but burned. I had asked for extra cheese, couldn't see they remembered because it was so over done. The sauce had no flavor....again way overcooked. I love pizza, and these places keep breaking my heart. I gave this 3 stars as I can't honestly say if it was the restaurant or the fact that it was a delivery order. I have gotten food many times, I love their salads the large is big enough for 2 people . I decided to try the chicken wings tonight when I placed an order online. I got there about 15 minutes after my order should have been ready only to be told it was not and to pull around front and wait cause it was not ready. Where I waited almost 25 more minutes. Only to be told there was a problem with the wings which I was never told when I went to pick up only to be told after almost an hour after I placed the order . The wings were a huge disappointment for how long i had to wait they were very dry . I will continue to stop for salads as i do enjoy them but that's probably about it I gave a 4 star because the salads are so good wings where more like a 2 star at best read more

There are no really good pizza restaurants in Alamance county at least not that we have found but Mimi's is pretty good. It's takeout only so by the time we drive home we have to reheat it. read more

My favorite pizza place to get takeout in Burlington! I ordered cheese bread, an antipasto salad, and two medium pizzas (buffalo chicken pizza and white pizza). The order was placed online through their website for pick-up an hour from then. Food was ready on time when my husband picked it up. The antipasto was great! You get to pick the salad dressing and I chose a creamy Greek dressing. I need this bottled in my house - it was delicious. The cheese bread was wonderful. I loved the white pizza. The sauce wasn't overpowering and the toppings went together well. I love trying the different signature pizzas they have, so I obviously will be back! read more

I Just went to Mimi's for the first time in a while today, and even though it looks like a small hole in the wall restaurant, the food is amazing. The cheese pizza and steak and cheese calzone were amazing. The store is also clean, the employees had great customer service, and the food was packaged nicely.I would totally recommend this spot to people trying to find new places to eat. read more

I finally decided to try Mimi's Pizza last night after frequently passing by and getting curious. The decision was sparked after stopping here during a DoorDash run--it smelled amazing, so I figured, why not? I ordered a small deep-dish cheese pizza for myself and a small all-meat deep-dish pizza without cheese for my spouse. Unfortunately, the deep-dish pizza didn't quite meet my expectations. I was hoping for something closer to a Chicago-style deep dish, but it turned out to be different. On top of that, the bottom and sides of the pizza were burnt, which really took away from the flavor. Overall, my experience was just okay. It wasn't necessarily bad, but it also wasn't as great as I had hoped. Would I come back? Maybe--I might give them one more shot and try their hand-tossed dough instead of the deep-dish. Decided to try a local pizza place and was thrilled with the food from Mimis! We have actually tried this restaurant on two different occasions, got great service and food. The first time we walked in to order. The restaurant is in a tucked away location with a mom & pop like vibe upon entering. On our recent visit, we decided to call in our order and used the drive thru for pick up which was nice. Our food was made correctly, extra sauces with the order as we asked and pick up time was completely reasonable! The ingredients on the pizzas tasted fresh and had plenty of flavor. It's our new go to spot for pizza at the moment!! Prices are a little more than the typical chain restaurants but worth it in my opinion. read more

This pizza joint lived up to its hyped reviews. My appetite was raging and this establishment was close by. The pictures of the food look like that of a magazine so I had to try. First off, the staff was super friendly and helpful! I preferred the small steak and cheese calzone and 5 buffalo wings. It was about a 15 minute wait for piping hot food! I was not disappointed at all! The calzone had a crispy crust but a soft, flavorful dough. Super cheesy and stuffed with ingredients, this calzone is a must-try if you're uncertain of what to eat. It was a hearty size for a small and comes with a nice serving of marinara sauce. The wings have a nice kick to it so be prepared to cool off if you're a whimp like myself. The wings do come with a large cup of ranch, unlike other establishments. Overall 5/5 and I will return soon. read more

My first impression was a stereotypical pizza parlor that's reminiscent of a Little Caesars (that standing room only, grab and go type place). My next thought was....hello? anyone? should I walk through the door again? *crickets* Finally, I had to be a bit abrasive and walk right up to the cashier and start putting in my order. There was no "hey, be with you in a minute!", "Welcome in!" Nothing. I didn't hold this against them, as I had received - up until that point - much of the same service, or lack thereof, from quite a few establishments, so I chalked it up to an east coast/Carolina thing. I have only been on this coast for a month, so I gave them another go (or two) since I live close. Let's talk about their pies. Meh. Pizza is pizza and fulfills that craving for the most part, so long as it has melty cheese on bread, but their crust was a bit too soggy or too cardboard-y. It was very inconsistent and their BBQ chicken pizza just didn't slap as I was hoping it would. Pizzas are also VERY greasy. Ick. The final time we went here, I had decided to use their online App. I selected the three pizzas my family gets; small cheese for the boys with thin crust, medium pan chicken parm for me, and a medium pineapple pepperoni hand tossed for the hubs. Tell me why when we picked up the pizza, we had three medium chicken parms? We didn't realize, of course, until after we got home. We immediately drove right back and tried to switch them out. Now, don't get me wrong, I get it. It's custom order pizza....they can't turn around and give that to someone else. But the rudeness and lack of any resolution whatsoever was absurd. The girl, after being so rude and implying my hubs must be an idiot for not putting it in right in the app (spoiler alert: it was me and I assure you, I double checked on the checkout screen prior to paying, obviously), basically told him he is SOL. After paying for more than $50 worth of pizza that we weren't ever going to eat -- at least not the other two -- we went to Pizza Hut and realized how much better it was, anyway. Surprisingly enough, the manager/owner or whoever, emailed me later inquiring about the confusion and what the circumstances were around them. He assured me that he'd get with his IT team and investigate what could have gone wrong with the system. Well, after a day he writes back saying basically "they looked at your clicks and, YUP, you messed up! This is your fault" Tell me why someone would order 3 chicken parm pizzas, medium size? Does that make sense? If the system messed up my order that bad, why would the integrity of this 'investigation' be any different? LMAO. It's ridiculous. I wrote back. Posted are the emails. Needless to say, I will not be back or recommend this place. With a pizza place practically on every corner around here, there's no reason to care that little about your customers. read more

Omg!!!! Literally the BEST pizza I have ever had !!!!! I finally decided to try them and I will not be going to any other pizza places again. You can definitely taste that the crust is homemade, it literally melts in your mouth. The prices are drop dead reasonable. I've tried the signature pizzas which are soooo filling for $3.99. I'm planning to try all of the pizzas! So far the ones I have had are amazing. I would say that the steak pizza was really greasy, that's the only complaint that I had. They give you the correct portions of sauce to cheese and they are not stingy on the toppings. They are the pizza heaven( if one existed) . I would totally recommend them! They also have weekly specials (lots of them) and you can't forget the RANCH!!!! I'm a ranch fanatic, they are in my top 3 ranch choices for sure. The buffalo sauce is amazing !!!! The ranch is really good and the marinara sauce is homemade, the New York style is sooo good , not like that flimsy dominos New York style! me and my family have been on a binge with trying to see what the best pizza places around here and this is my favorite! Told them I didn't want the pizza and the reason why, there were not much at all of beef on my pizza. This is what the person said the lady making the pizza said, ( I put a hand full of beef on it. I put it under the cheese.) I took the pizza back and told the person at the window, that I was going to take pictures. We've now ordered a to go pizza from Mimi's two weeks in a row. First, Mimi's has great pizza and I highly recommend it. It's strictly a pick up or to go place, so their business practices work very well with these times (coronavirus & not dining in). We haven't tried their other options, so I can't comment on those. The first time we went there, we looked up the business and menu through yelp. There was a link to order online, so we used it. Unfortunatley, when we got there, our pizza wasn't ready. Though they acknowledged the order on Grub Hub, they didn't prepare it. We waited 10 minutes or so and got a pizza. When we ordered last night, we called int (thinking we'd avoid a repeat of last week). We ordered an Extra Large New York pizza, but when we got home, it definitely wasn't a New York crust (too thick, not much of an edge). Our ordering issues are why I didn't give Mimi's a 5 star review. I do recommend them. read more

I've tried Mimi's a couple of times and can't quite put my finger on what's disappointing. The sauce is too sweet, for starters. Some like sweet sauce, and I think it would be okay if the cheese balanced it out, but they skimp on the cheese. I love cheese so that's a bummer. The menu has plenty of options for subs, pasta, salads, wings, various appetizer & dessert items and of course pizza. They have a few different options when it comes to your pizza crust: deep dish, hand tossed, thin crust, New York Style, gluten free and they offer some other flavored crusts also. I ordered a Deep Dish House Supreme and a hand tossed pepperoni and black olive. The deep dish pizza was great, the crust was really thick and piled with a little bit of everything, the hand tossed was awesome as well, the crust was a little thicker than most hand tossed crusts, they baked it just until the cheese started to brown on top, it was great. read more
