Hi...I had the crab rangoons for lunch and my stomach hurts so badly that had to leave work. The pain is intense. I threw up and also had diarrhea. ordinarily I have a very strong stomach (other people get sick but I'm fine.) I called as a courtesy to let them know something might be off but they would not listen to me and told me I must be sick. I am a preschool teacher- I have the immune system if a shark. So the 3 stars go toward the manager. I had made a mistake in ordering selecting pick up instead of delivery. I called asking if they could change it & have it delivered because I am using a walker. No. No. Noooooooo. First of all white people should never run/own a Chinese restaurant. This was my first sign to be concerned. Next up, NO CHINESE PERSON ACTUALLY USES CHINESE FIVE SPICE POWDER. EVER. I know this for a fact. And let me tell you, these people put it in EVERY nasty tasteless dish. So much of it in fact that it's all you smell! My house now reeks of that weird clove, licorice, cinnamon and ginger scented mixture that honestly should never be used in anything. Ever. We ordered the snow peas and Chinese mixed veggies and would you like to know what I got? A tray of bok Choy stalks... yeah that's it. If you don't believe me I uploaded a picture. My son gaged on the wonton soup and spit it out. I tasted it and it was horribly sour? Why? And the broth was brown?? We got 7 different dishes and they were all bad. Some were completely inedible. Sadly I think Mebane is completely out of good Chinese restaurants. I'll be driving to graham or carrboro I believe. read more

Yes, you can see in the kitchen... yes, like most kitchens the people cooking food in hot woks don't wear plastic gloves... that doesn't mean that it is unsanitary.. and 'white' people shouldn't own/run/work at Chinese restaurants? Please!!! This isn't haute cuisine, it is carry out American/Chinese food that is tasty, hot, and very affordable. The hibachi is great... the fried rice is great... the chicken chow mien will remind you of why it was a carry out favorite years ago (and at $8.95 a quart w/rice and noodles it is a great meal for two). I wouldn't bring a date to the rather bare-bones dining room but - to repeat - this is great Chinese carry out. And, btw, I believe the ownership isn't white - just the girl at the check out. Wish the food was better, I'd rather drive across town for a better meal. Also the customer service, in take out orders especially, is lacking. This last time took the cake, with the person on the line taking the order getting very frustrated that they couldn't understand what we were saying.... and we couldn't understand them either. Which YES, is quite frustrating but could have been worked through without all the added stress from the one taking the order... we will not be returning in so that we aren't berated for our lack understanding due to the language barrier. Might could have dealt with it if the food was phenomenal. Which it's not. We ordered two dinner dishes and a couple of eggs rolls. I was unable to more than a couple bites of each dish & side item and the egg rolls were just meh. Plenty of other friendlier / yummier Chinese takeout spots around and will make the extra trip to obtain those. read more

This might be the best Chinese food I've ever had. I had the veggie lo mein and it had a lot of really good, well cooked delicious veggies in it. The pork in the fried rice was so flavorful even in such tiny pieces. And it's still super hot by the time you get home. read more

Tried the steak and chicken hibachi today, my wife got the sesame chicken and my cousin got the sweet and sour chicken.. we were all very impressed and the food was delivered fast (we ate in the restaurant) nothing was messed up on our order and it was probably one of the best Chinese take-out food I've had in a while.
