We're new the area and had a craving for Chinese take-out after a busy weekend... China King is close so I ordered take out and it was exactly what I needed. Everything I ordered was good: - Kung Pao Chicken - Mongolian Beef - Pork Fried Rice - Vegetable Lo Mein. read more

Very good. I would call this a hidden gem in Alamance County. My table had sweet and sour chicken, orange chicken, egg roll and dumplings. All were hot, fresh, and very good, including the sauces. We grabbed a to-go menu so we can plan to order again. read more

Hit or miss sometimes yummy and delicious with lots of sauce but most of the time dry and the lunch and dinner Togo container sucks so bad. Always juice everywhere. read more

Great people, definitely the best Chinese restaurant in town. Flavorful dishes, well prepared and larde portions.

China king is great Food is good, service is good, food comes quickly. Overall a great restaurant to get some pretty inexpensive Chinese food read more

worse experience ever was told by the manager and cashier that I was being "too picky" when I asked for preferences on my food and then was told I ordered my food wrong lol what this used to be #1 Chinese spots but since the little girls that used to help grew up there manners went out the door no coustomer service food was cold bland and bad I would not recommend you spend money here at all read more

Best chinese food in Mebane. While their main competitor, Stir King, has reduced portion size and raised prices, China King continues to serve great food at a reasonable price. read more

Always satisfies the belly, egg rolls always hit the spot too. The people have always been nice and comes with fast service.

Service is great food is good but I feel like it's missing passion feel like they just cook to cook and not to make you want to come back.

Good food and reasonable prices. Mei fun and egg foo young are all good. Chicken wings are good too.

Hi...I had the crab rangoons for lunch and my stomach hurts so badly that had to leave work. The pain is intense. I threw up and also had diarrhea. ordinarily I have a very strong stomach (other people get sick but I'm fine.) I called as a courtesy to let them know something might be off but they would not listen to me and told me I must be sick. I am a preschool teacher- I have the immune system if a shark. It was definitely the food. consider this a public service announcement. writing from the pot/bent over in pain. -Courtney read more

China King - You get way more food than this - Chinese Near Me - Mebane, North Carolina

Your basic yummy Chinese food. Service is always pleasant. No atmosphere to speak of, but we always get our food to go.

I have always loved this place for the past 9 years. In fact, I was just bragging to some friends about how good the food is & how loyal I have felt to China Kitchen. So the 3 stars go toward the manager. I had made a mistake in ordering selecting pick up instead of delivery. I called asking if they could change it & have it delivered because I am using a walker. I told her I would pay extra cash. My place is about 2 miles away The woman said she would ask the manager, who called me back. She was very rude, yelling at me, "No you order pick-up; you must pick up!" read more

We ordered 100 chicken wings for a birthday celebration. The order process over the phone was quick and easy. They also called to confirm the order before preparing and again for pickup. Everything was fresh and our guests enjoyed the food. We'll definitely order here again! read more

The service is always friendly and the food is always good. I choose this place time and time again.

No. No. Noooooooo. First of all white people should never run/own a Chinese restaurant. This was my first sign to be concerned. Next up, NO CHINESE PERSON ACTUALLY USES CHINESE FIVE SPICE POWDER. EVER. I know this for a fact. And let me tell you, these people put it in EVERY nasty tasteless dish. So much of it in fact that it's all you smell! My house now reeks of that weird clove, licorice, cinnamon and ginger scented mixture that honestly should never be used in anything. Ever. We ordered the snow peas and Chinese mixed veggies and would you like to know what I got? A tray of bok Choy stalks... yeah that's it. If you don't believe me I uploaded a picture. My son gaged on the wonton soup and spit it out. I tasted it and it was horribly sour? Why? And the broth was brown?? We got 7 different dishes and they were all bad. Some were completely inedible. Sadly I think Mebane is completely out of good Chinese restaurants. I'll be driving to graham or carrboro I believe. read more

China King - Chinese mixed veggies??? I don't think so. Only thing in the whole carton was bok choy stalks. Not even the green tops! Horrible! - Chinese Near Me - Mebane, North Carolina

Best Chinese food in the area!! We had a large order and everything was good. Some places it's the same "brown sauce" on everything but not here. They got our order right in a timely manner and everything was hot and delicious read more

Overall my food was prepared in a timely fashion but unfortunately the person that took my order was too busy rushing me while I'm on the phone trying to place my order and missed several items read more

Great carry out... I mean it. Great carry out. I've had any number of items from this little place and the food is very, very good. Please ignore that rant/negative review of this great little place. Yes, you can see in the kitchen... yes, like most kitchens the people cooking food in hot woks don't wear plastic gloves... that doesn't mean that it is unsanitary.. and 'white' people shouldn't own/run/work at Chinese restaurants? Please!!! This isn't haute cuisine, it is carry out American/Chinese food that is tasty, hot, and very affordable. The hibachi is great... the fried rice is great... the chicken chow mien will remind you of why it was a carry out favorite years ago (and at $8.95 a quart w/rice and noodles it is a great meal for two). I wouldn't bring a date to the rather bare-bones dining room but - to repeat - this is great Chinese carry out. And, btw, I believe the ownership isn't white - just the girl at the check out. Trust me - you'll like the food as long as you know what you're getting into. Thank you China King - we will be back often! read more

The chicken wings are amazing drove from Burlington to try them and it was well worth the drive.

Take out. The vegetables were not overcooked. The beef was tender and juicy. The mushrooms were a tad undercooked. The disappointing aspect to the meal was the schezwan sauce. It was only sweet with no taste of peppers. Perhaps other dishes are better? read more

DONT COME HERE. Surprised that this place has this many stars. Completely rude. Disgusting attitudes. Would give this place zero stars. She said, "are you going to order or not" after I asked for the total. it's a hell no for me. I'd assume the taste of the food matches the customer service. Terrible!!! read more

Hands down best in town. Great rice. Nice egg foo young. Fabulous shrimp egg rolls.

Wish the food was better, I'd rather drive across town for a better meal. Also the customer service, in take out orders especially, is lacking. This last time took the cake, with the person on the line taking the order getting very frustrated that they couldn't understand what we were saying.... and we couldn't understand them either. Which YES, is quite frustrating but could have been worked through without all the added stress from the one taking the order... we will not be returning in so that we aren't berated for our lack understanding due to the language barrier. Might could have dealt with it if the food was phenomenal. Which it's not. We ordered two dinner dishes and a couple of eggs rolls. I was unable to more than a couple bites of each dish & side item and the egg rolls were just meh. Plenty of other friendlier / yummier Chinese takeout spots around and will make the extra trip to obtain those. read more

This might be the best Chinese food I've ever had. I had the veggie lo mein and it had a lot of really good, well cooked delicious veggies in it. The pork in the fried rice was so flavorful even in such tiny pieces. And it's still super hot by the time you get home. read more

China King is a great place to eat I eat there all the time I always get their sweet and sour chicken or barbecue spare ribs or even their fried chicken wings everything is just delicious and everything like that and it reminds me of back home in New Jersey and she's just as good as you're going to get if you're from up north on the Upper East Side and everything like that from New Jersey and Pennsylvania and everything like that if you ever move from one of those States and came down here you know the difference in Chinese food and they're actually pretty good so if you ever get a chance go here they're pretty nice and they're always try to keep a professional and I've come to visit them frequently read more

Thanks to fellow Yelpsters for leading us to some extra-ordinary Chinese food in a very ordinary setting (next to a Food Lion grocery store in a non-descript corner of Mebane, NC). Tried the steak and chicken hibachi today, my wife got the sesame chicken and my cousin got the sweet and sour chicken.. we were all very impressed and the food was delivered fast (we ate in the restaurant) nothing was messed up on our order and it was probably one of the best Chinese take-out food I've had in a while. Only giving 4 stars because the lady behind the register made us feel rushed to order and kept giving us dirty and rude looks while we were trying to figure out what we wanted.. she looked at us like we've been there 100 times and should know what we want by now... made me laugh. Unprofessional. read more
