BEWARE OF THE RED PEPPER SYMBOL on the menu!!!! If you love spicy, indulge! If you are sensitive or can't handle spice, run faaaaar away from these items. Most places put a pepper symbol and it's not spicy at all, but this single red pepper symbol means business!!!!!! I'm sensitive to spice at the moment so eating my food was a bit of a marathon....but in a good way! Think runny nose & sweating hot with tons of delicious flavor. To start, we served wonton strips with a white yum yum type sauce which was a nice surprise. For our app we had the crab puffs (crab ragoons) which of course were not spicy, perfectly crispy and had the right amount of filling. I also ordered a dragon roll which came out after my main entree since the sushi bar was backed up. This actually worked out perfect because the cream cheese in the roll was a great way to calm the spice in my main entree. The mango and crab on the roll were very fresh, and the size was also pretty hefty for being an 8 piece roll. I could have easily made this into a lighter full meal. For my main entree I got the spicy basil with chicken (red pepper sign alert!!!), brown rice and miso soup. The miso soup was good as expected, the brown rice was cooked to perfection and served in a side bowl, and the main entree was plentiful with perfectly cooked veggies & chicken! This dish brought the heat but in a very good way!!! I couldn't get enough of that spicy basil flavor!!!! I only ate half the dish so looking forward to a delicious lunch today! Can't wait to come back and try more of their dishes but while I'm sensitive to spice at the moment I may avoid the pepper symbol for a bit! read more

The menu here is almost overwhelming. Now in my experience when you have an exhaustive menu, particularly when you mix, Korean Chinese Thai and sushi you sometimes get mixed results. However, for the most part, the food here is very good. I personally am not a fan of their sushi it's not the best. The service and the value is very good. read more

I ordered the vegetable Lo Mein (without mushrooms & onions). I've had other dishes here, like the veggie curries, that were great. But this Lo Mein is the worst I've ever tasted unfortunately. The noodles were mushy and overcooked. The "sauce" basically tasted like oily vegetable broth. As you can see from the veggies in the picture, they are just oily without a char and without any flavors. The dish honestly just looks bland as you can see. I can't tell if this was cooked in a microwave or an actual wok because there's no caramelization of any flavors. Nearly $20 for this dish on top of that. A lot of locals prioritize this place over other smaller Asian options here in Mebane but I'm not certain if I'd return for anything based on this waste of money. read more

Pad Thai was red and gritty. They used a powdered/dry sauce base and didn't rehydrate it properly. It also means they're not really cooking from scratch. The "mongolian dish" was bland. Maybe their sushi or hibachi is ok, but they're thai & chinese dishes are to be avoided. There are much better, if less well appointed, restaurants only a few minutes away. read more

I'm so happy I stumbled upon this casual sushi spot in Mebane! I met a friend for lunch here over the weekend and we were both pleasantly surprised. It wasn't busy at all when we arrived at noon, and I only saw a few more patrons coming in during our meal. I was kind of shocked about that, but it's in a shopping center down from Food Lion, so maybe location? Either way, the restaurant is super clean and beautiful inside, our waitress was wonderful, and above all, the sushi is excellent! Super fresh and an amazing deal! They offer 2 rolls for $17 or 3 rolls for $22 (I think even cheaper lunch specials!). With this deal, you also get a soup or salad. The rolls were a great size and again, so fresh. I had the Alaska, Spicy Yellowtail, and Mango Avocado roll. My favorite was the mango! The sauce they use on top is delightful, a hint of sweet but not overpowering. I loved the ginger salad dressing and the dip offered with the wonton "chips" for the table. I will definitely be back here and my friend who lives an hour away said the same! Visited the restaurant on Juneteenth after a day of shopping at the Tanger's and didn't quite like dining options there. Looked for the nearest Japanese restaurant and found this on Yelp. We were very peckish at this point and figured we'd give it a try. The ratings looked really great, especially from my fellow Yelpers so we figured we'd be happy. Happy to report that the food was good. Not great but satisfying. My wife ordered steak and shrimp bento box and I ordered a Philadelphia roll and a chirashi sushi. I was taken aback when I saw the way they served the Chirashi sushi dish. The traditional way was to serve that in a bowl. Instead, they served it in a plate sashimi style. While I don't really mind some variations, but the total deconstruction of the dish wasn't something I anticipated and admittedly don't like. One of the few saving graces about this dish was they served sushi rice. Nonetheless, I wasn't particularly enthused by it. I'm a stickler to the traditional way the food should look. With that, let's grade the entrees. The bento box for my wife was a B. The oyster appetizer was a B+. The philly roll was a B. The Chirashi was tasty but the presentation wasn't appealing. I'm giving it a B-. The service was attentive and helpful. No complaints. The ambiance is typical of most strip mall restaurants. Pleasant, quiet and clean. All in all, it was a good experience. Followed the strong reviews here on our trek between NCSU and home. Started with the special 'hedgehog' roll which was wonderful. Seaweed salad and summer rolls both fresh and large portions. Hubs had the spicy basil, which was good and not over the top on heat. I had the dynamite and North Carolina rolls, both well done. Restaurant is clean and lovely. We love Asian Harbor! Today my husband had his favorite shrimp and scallops hibachi, I got something new to me the Bento box with sweet/sour chicken rice and spring roll! Everything was excellent! I also enjoy the jasmine tea! If you are not familiar with this place it's in The food Lion plaza. This restaurant is cozy but so clean and wonderful. The music is soothing too. I called and asked if they would mail it to me. They were very sweet in offering to do so but also diligent as they asked a few questions to verify I was the owner of the card. Okay so this place is pretty decent for inland North Carolina. I'm visiting from out of the city so we are used to having a ton of sushi restaurants that serve only sushi so they have really good specialty sushi. This area only has several sushi restaurants to choose from. While their sushi is still pretty good, it tastes like grocery store sushi that is packaged and sold in containers (which isn't bad, just not sushi restaurant quality good). I did find it interesting that they served sushi, hibachi, and Thai food all in one restaurant. Once you are seated, they give you a small complimentary plate of wonton crisps with a dipping sauce, which were pretty good and a nice little touch. The Panang Thai curry was really good, would definitely recommend, but I would not recommend the pad see ew noodles. There was too much sugar so the dish was really sweet, a lot sweeter than normal. The carrots were cut unevenly so there were a few big pieces of carrots that were barely cooked and pretty raw. Service was great though, it was really slow for a Saturday night and there were a lot of workers, but everyone was really friendly the whole time and our server was really nice and checked on us often. read more

Everything from the extraordinary customer service, the food and presentation of this place is great. I had a order that was never picked up by someone and the restaurant called me to let me know they would stay there until I could arrive. We have very few decent Asian restaurants in Mebane and have had some hit or miss luck with Asian Harbor. The biggest problem is consistent product. What we enjoyed one visit is not the same quality the next time. On a whim we decided to try some sushi: what a costly mistake. Not only were the rolls excessively overpriced, they were incredibly small. There was no difference between any of the fish: it all tasted the same. Wondering if it's any good. We order a bunch of Bento Boxes. Everything is delicious, and artistically presented. Service is superb, attentive, courteous. A large drink is spilled by our friend. It is cleaned up immediately and efficiently. We continue. Sushi is average, nothing to write home about, but the salads and their dressings and the main courses are flavorful, plentiful, and include a variety of Asian influences: Thai, Japanese, and Chinese; hence: "FUSION".
