Part of the interior seating area.

This place is definitely not much to look at on the outside, in fact, the entire shopping center is dismal looking. The inside is definitely not posh, but it is clean, relatively bright, with very basic seating. There are 3 full steam tables, a dessert and salad area, and an area with a small selection of sushi. The fare is standard Americanized Chinese - Fried Rice (rather bland without soy sauce), Egg Rolls (also bland), Chicken Wings (very good), Pepper Chicken (a bit sweet, but good), Pepper Steak (nice dish), Fried Calamari (excellent crispness, great flavor), Fried Fish Filets (nice flavor), Mongolia Chicken (good dish here), Buttered Potatoes (sliced thin, tasty), Teriyaki Chicken (on the dry side), Lo Mien (solid version), Wanton Soup, and more. Some decent items here, well priced at $7.50, and the service was quick and efficient. Nothing exotic, but I'd drop in again if in the area.

My sister and I were traveling through and decided to stop here for lunch. And I must say this was the best decision we made for the lunch in awhile. It was delicious! Great selection! Certainly fresh, and many people in there. It was very clean too! Service was very kind. We will be making visits regularly when traveling through. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Never again!! Food was awful - cold and tasteless. My husband and I both got sick after we ate there.

This restaurant is run by the same folks as Grill 584 (Koury Corporation, I think), and is under the direction of the chef there, David Katz - who was at the late, lamented Boss Hogg in Greensboro, and some time at Bullock's BBQ in Durham. They are offering an dinner menu that is strong on smoked meats - Hand Pulled Pork (basically Eastern NC style with some nice heat), BBQ Chicken, Smoked Turkey Breast, Texas Style Brisket, and "Smackin Good' St Louis Style Ribs, and a number of nice sides. They offer wine and have a decent beer selection. Only non-BBQ meat on the menu is Fried Chicken Livers - this is a BBQ joint setup. The meats are featured in Take Out Specials - pint of Pork BBQ for $9.95, pound of brisket for $12.95, whole smoked BBQ Chicken for $9.95. Sides are available as well. I've only tried the Pork BBQ, and it is every bit as good as that that was served at Boss Hogg - solid Eastern NC style, with some very nice heat. Looking forward to trying the other meats, especially the Brisket and Chicken. Dinner is Tue - Sat, 5 to 9. They offer a small lunch buffet, Mon thru Friday - 11AM to 2PM, for $7.49, including drink, and small salad bar. The items vary from day to day, but include Fried Chicken (very, very good, if a little salty), Chicken Pot Pie, Country Style Steak, Spaghetti, Baked Chicken, BBQ Pork, BBQ Chicken, Fried Fish (Friday), and Baked Salmon. The meats are pretty good to ordinary - the Fried Chicken is very good, the BBQ Pork is not the style served at night - covered with a sweet, tomato sauce. The veggies are ordinary to plain bad - canned or frozen, and poorly seasoned. But the meats are generally worth the price, as is the salad bar.

They have fried chicken, green beans, among other vegetables, biscuits and corn bread. I don't know what they have other days cause I go Monday just to get sauerkraut. It might be worth calling to see what else cause mondays are really good. Think I'll start checking other days just out of curio. Friendly customer service

Admittedly, I haven't been here in years because my last couple visits weren't very good. I had a…read morecraving for Indian and one my fellow yelpies recommended this place and told me they reopened the lunch buffet. I decided to try it out. It was very muggy inside to the point that the floors were slippery and I had to be careful walking. The buffet itself was lacking. Many of the dishes had no labels and there were no gloves for the shared utensils. Also, they are using plastic plates for the buffet. I tried a little of everything and the fried items were cold and old. The vegetarian dishes were also lukewarm. The chicken biryani was cold and the rice was crunchy. The butter chicken was very sweet. To the point I didn't recognize it. Most of the food was sweet. They brought out one naan. That was very salty and I couldn't finish it. Overall everything tasted modified and not authentic. There was only one sauced item with meat and that was butter chicken. The only other protein option was tandoori chicken so you won't have any options if you don't care for chicken. There was one chick pea dish, a potato dish, an okra dish, a veggie stir fry and that was pretty much it for mains. Overall I think they would fare better expanding their buffet. I would have rather ordered off the main menu. The staff was attentive and friendly. It's not the same lively and homey place I remember and frequented often when they first opened. Will I go back? That's a real tough question. To order off the menu, I might. But then I remember the last few visits and second guess the possibility. I would not come back for the buffet. There's plenty of parking in a shared lot. Maybe a fall hazard for those with assistive devices or mobility issues. The floor is clean but the humidity caused it to be very slick.

I thought the price was appropriate for adults, not so much for kids who eat very little. I loved their rice and chicken dishes. I would definitely return.
