I love the shrimp fried rice, chicken wings, shrimp egg rolls, the veggie and shrimp Lo mien is really good ! I recently just tried the egg foo yung and that was really good ! read more

So the outside is in need of repair and the other concern is the health rating of 94.5. We ordered soup and an egg roll and were pleasantly surprised as to how good the soup was! Getting in and out of the restaurant is difficult due to its location and traffic. They are only doing take out orders at this time. The egg roll was not greasy/ was pretty standard fare but the soup was hot and tasty. Will we go back? Not sure but the reason is the location- it is a distance for us to get there. read more

Very disappointed. Went for lunch and ordered rib tips. What I got was literally a box of bones. I paid $7 for bones with sauce. I will not return or recommend to others because this was no mistake, come on we all saw the bones. read more

Placed an order was over charged for food I didn't receive. Subpar customer service; subpar and missing food; and I'm over charged for all of it. I don't ask for much and from the bodega Chinese restaurant I just wanted quick dinner. I wanted what I paid for not having to go through losing money because it's the easier inconvenience over going back. New to the area I'm going to have to see what else's out there for Chinese. read more

My most favorite Chinese Restaurant ! The food is always great and they give you so much you can barely finish it. Never had bad meal from here ! I highly recommend them ! Best Chinese food in Alamance Country !!! read more

We're always looking for good Americanized Chinese food and several positive reviews led us to try this place today since we were in the area on business. It's a small place in a worn, tired looking area of Graham, and the inside mirrors that as well. This is mostly a take out place, with about 5 or 6 small tables available for eating in. We tried the Szechuan Beef with Fried Rice and a house, vegetable Egg Roll ($7.45), and Kung Pao Chicken ($7.25) with the same sides. We also ordered 3 Fried Chicken Wings ($2.50) and an order of house made Kimchi ($1.45).. The Egg Roll is perfectly fried, no greasiness at all, but the vegetable version is a little bland, so we'll probably try the Shrimp one next time. The Chicken Wings are excellent, again fried right with no greasiness, great flavor. These are very close to the quality of the wings at Golden Dragon in Greensboro. The Kung Pao Chicken, while a ways from the authentic dish (too many vegetables), was very, very good, with a nice amount of heat. The chicken, while thinly slice, was not the least bit dry or stringy, as is often the case with this dish. The meat was very moist and tender, and the sauce was excellent, adding flavor as well as heat to the fresh tasting veggies. Much the same with the Szechuan - too many veggies, but the meat was tender & flavorful, the sauce had a great taste and was nicely spicy. The veggies in this dish were equally fresh tasting. The Fried Rice was just ok, very little there except rice, and a little bland. The Kimchi was excellent, and was very nice eaten along with entrees. The service was excellent - the owner friendly, attentive, and personable, something not always encountered in small ethnic restaurants, much appreciated. The prices were more than reasonable, the portions on the combo lunches are huge. We'll be back, and we'll bring an appetite. read more

One of the more flavorful Chinese food restaurants in Burlington/Graham area and not too expensive!

This place reminds me of a hole-in-the-wall type place you find in a gritty part of big city. It's just in a gritty part of a small town. Why does there have to be so much BAD Asian food in this world, and then this little place kills it! I see why it has so many good reviews. Don't expect a nice dining area and white table cloths, but it's clean. The bathrooms were clean. As soon as they caught up on their orders & the drive-through, someone was cleaning the dining area. Also the service was friendly & attentive. We had Kung Pao Chicken, Garlic Chicken & a side of kimchi. I preferred the garlic chicken as it had a nice garlic flavor and was not all swimming in gloppy sweet sauce. Kung Pao was good, just not my favorite. The kimchi was a nice addition and not too strong. Egg drop soup hit the spot on a cold day & was even topped with scallions like you might see at a nicer restaurant. Next time i am in the area, if I can't eat there, I will get take out for later! read more

Honestly disappointed in the customer service. The food is OK at best. However, if you order then you need to say exactly what you want, and if you don't you're gonna get the wrong order. (Meaning tell them that you want NOODLES and don't order WHAT THEIR MENU SAYS). To top it all off if you go back to explain to them that this not what you ordered, they argue with you. I spent $15 on a meal that I don't even want any more. IM SO DISAPPOINTED ITS CRAZY. read more

Our go-to Chinese take-out that's close to home. Be very specific when ordering on the phone. Once we ordered kimchi and got sweet tea we picked up. We just laughed it off, it's not a big deal. But their kimchi is fantastic! read more

This was a bit of a distance but well worth the trip! We sampled everything from the egg rolls, dumplings, crab rangoon, boneless ribs to the beef with snow peas. Everything was delicious. The sauce for the beef was thick and flavorful. If you get the crab rangoon, be sure to ask for the sauce on the side as it doesn't come with it. It will cost you a buck but it's money well spent. One of the best things is that you can order items in small, medium or large. This comes in handy when you can't decide what to order...just get two smalls. As other reviews stated, the place isn't much to look at but it's got a drive-thru so if you phone in your order you don't even need to leave the comfort of your vehicle. We will definitely be making a return trip. read more

The owners seem nice so I don't like writing this review. I bought two takeout dinners last week. I have rarely had such bad food. There were two orders of General Tso's chicken. It looked like a lot of food--but it was a pile of deep fried breading on almost nonexistent chicken. It was crunchy due over cooking. The sauce was unpleasant. I hate to waste, but we threw both dinners out. If this was meant to beat inflation, it was a big mistake. I'll never go back. read more

Found a piece of metal in my rice. Nuff said.

Don't let the old, worn down appearance of the building fool you. This is one of the best Chinese restaurants around. There are several vegetarian options, my favorite of which is the sesame tofu. The food is always fresh, and ready in 10-15 minutes. The portions are large, but the price is still very reasonable. The staff members are always very friendly, and are genuinely appreciative of your business. read more

UPDATE: I checked Google reviews and so many people are reviewing the RUDENESS of the owners sister! They cater mostly to the minority community. What if they stopped eating there? These are the absolute RUDEST people! The owner (Chen) is the only friendly face in there and he's not always present. Since COVID19, The person taking the orders over the phone is monotone and when you get to the window to pick up your order, the stupid woman CLOSED the window and was expecting payment through a closed window! No One says thank you! I'm going to find another Chinese Restaurant to order my food! Actually, There's a new one near the courthouse! They're very friendly! read more

Best wings anywhere in Alamance County! Forget Wings to Go, Wingzone and all the others, this is the surprising place to get your wing fix! Egg rolls are great too. Oh by the way, the Chinese food is good too! read more

Shanghai Restaurant - the entrance to the restaurant - Chinese Near Me - Graham, North Carolina

If you like a sweet/hot wings try their BBQ wings. Not American BBQ so don't be fooled, it's an Asian style BBQ. They used to call them hot wings until they added Buffalo hot wings and renamed these to BBQ. Best in town! Also, the boneless spare ribs are great for parties. Get a large order or two and some toothpicks to eat them with and everyone will go at them! read more

The worst service I have ever seen, the cashier was completely rude and refused to give me my drink. I will not be back ever again.

They use leftover crab shell as their chicken wings breading, the sesame chicken was ok if your just plain starving. There is a really good Chinese buffet literally a mile away that I would take over this place anyday read more

Really good inexpensive Chinese in Graham. Since relocating to the area, I've had a hard time finding a good Chinese take out place. Shanghai is close to work, so I decided to try it based on reviews here. Don't let the look of the restaurant fool you. The food is excellent and the sanitation rating is always an "A". It's reasonably priced and consistently tasty. read more

Took a chance coming to this place solely based off of everyone else's reviews. This place was excellent! If I'm ever back in this town this will be my go to Chinese spot. The owner also makes kimchi from scratch. It was so damn tasty. Don't be skiddish because of the neighborhood or the look of this place. Go....EAT....NOW! LOL read more

I am hardly impressed from one Chinese place to the next. The menu is close to the same and normally zero flexibility. Not the case at Shanghai, they will go out of their way to make you happy. They make the absolute best wings around. We bought them for our Super Bowl party and got half Hot and Half plain. Both were great. They are one of the few Chinese places around that has an online menu and a drive through pick up window. Call it in and never get out of the car. Give it a try. read more

Amazing food and service! This place was bustling and now I see why! We had the general tso's, sesame, orange, and Kung pao chicken and it was all fantastic. Prices are more than reasonable for such large portions! Will definitely be back - despite the 30 min drive. Totally worth it! Oh and get the Chinese donuts - thank me later. read more

THE BEST chicken wings at a Chinese restaurant!! You can buy enough for yourself or a group. Affordable, hole in the wall restaurant, but don't let the small place fool you! It has a friendly staff & good Chinese food. This place has been here for a very long time & never disappoints. read more

Come hungry, the lunch specials are a lot of food. Stuff is served piping hot. Best Chinese in the area.

The sesame chicken and potstickers were good with generous portions but the other 2 items did not resemble what we ordered! The shredded pork with eggplant had NO eggplant, the pork was not shredded and it was not at all spicy. There was no black bean sauce in the shrimp and it had an overwhelming proportion of broccoli to shrimp and was bland. If we had been dining in 2 dishes out of 3 would have been sent back! We ordered thru Gub Hub so I don't know how we would get a refund for the2 dishes that were wrong. read more

Very good egg drop soup , yummy food, great wings, good prices, fast service!!! This is my Husbands favorite place to get takeout. There is not much of a seating area so plan on taking this one to go but it is worth it. They will make any dish withy white meat upon request you just have to make sure they understand what your asking for. read more

Will never go back there! The lady at the drive thru was so rude. Threw my sauce in the bag and never said anything.

The food is so yummy, From the fried wings to the sirloin steak. I wish the pork fried rice was better :( and the customer service is HORRIBLE if you get anyone but the husband. He is like the only person who who uses his manners and is happy to serve you! Other than that if you have thick skin lol its one of the best spots in burlington/graham. read more

Usually love this place. Food is always good. The cashier/server today was extremely rude. Took forever to come to the counter. She was very difficult to understand. Then she had the nerve to ask me if I was from America because I couldnt understand her. read more

Don't let the outside fool you. Very good food!! The chicken on a stick is amazing!! The prices are great. We get take out weekly.

We've only gotten full take-out meals from Shanghai a couple of times, but have been very pleased with what we have gotten. What draws us to Shanghai on a regular basis is the kimchi. We make korean-style BBQ a couple of times a month to serve on tortillas topped with kimchi. Rather than make our own, we stop by Shanghai on the way home from work. It's some of the best that I've had. The staff is always friendly and our order is brought out quickly. Their egg rolls and chicken wings are delicious! read more

This is the best chinese restaurant in Graham. Don't let the exterior fool you, they always have an "A" sanitation grade. I always get the shrimp lo mein, it is the best I've ever had. They also have the best eggroll and wings around. I can't seem to get around to eating the rest of the menu items because I love the above 3 items SO much. And, they give you huge portions for a cheap price...enough for at least 2 meals. I also love that they have a drive-up window...fast and convenient. read more

Great fried chicken wings! Good quality, fresh, fast food. General Tao's Chicken is very good and they cook the tofu crispy like I like it.
