We're always looking for good Americanized Chinese food and several positive reviews led us to try this place today since we were in the area on business. It's a small place in a worn, tired looking area of Graham, and the inside mirrors that as well. This is mostly a take out place, with about 5 or 6 small tables available for eating in. We tried the Szechuan Beef with Fried Rice and a house, vegetable Egg Roll ($7.45), and Kung Pao Chicken ($7.25) with the same sides. We also ordered 3 Fried Chicken Wings ($2.50) and an order of house made Kimchi ($1.45).. The Egg Roll is perfectly fried, no greasiness at all, but the vegetable version is a little bland, so we'll probably try the Shrimp one next time. The Chicken Wings are excellent, again fried right with no greasiness, great flavor. These are very close to the quality of the wings at Golden Dragon in Greensboro. The Kung Pao Chicken, while a ways from the authentic dish (too many vegetables), was very, very good, with a nice amount of heat. The chicken, while thinly slice, was not the least bit dry or stringy, as is often the case with this dish. The meat was very moist and tender, and the sauce was excellent, adding flavor as well as heat to the fresh tasting veggies. Much the same with the Szechuan - too many veggies, but the meat was tender & flavorful, the sauce had a great taste and was nicely spicy. The veggies in this dish were equally fresh tasting. The Fried Rice was just ok, very little there except rice, and a little bland. The Kimchi was excellent, and was very nice eaten along with entrees. The service was excellent - the owner friendly, attentive, and personable, something not always encountered in small ethnic restaurants, much appreciated. The prices were more than reasonable, the portions on the combo lunches are huge. We'll be back, and we'll bring an appetite.

They even add those little green onions!

This place reminds me of a hole-in-the-wall type place you find in a gritty part of big city. It's just in a gritty part of a small town. Why does there have to be so much BAD Asian food in this world, and then this little place kills it! I see why it has so many good reviews. Don't expect a nice dining area and white table cloths, but it's clean. The bathrooms were clean. As soon as they caught up on their orders & the drive-through, someone was cleaning the dining area. Also the service was friendly & attentive. We had Kung Pao Chicken, Garlic Chicken & a side of kimchi. I preferred the garlic chicken as it had a nice garlic flavor and was not all swimming in gloppy sweet sauce. Kung Pao was good, just not my favorite. The kimchi was a nice addition and not too strong. Egg drop soup hit the spot on a cold day & was even topped with scallions like you might see at a nicer restaurant. Next time i am in the area, if I can't eat there, I will get take out for later!

Great fried chicken wings! Good quality, fresh, fast food. General Tao's Chicken is very good and they cook the tofu crispy like I like it.

One of the best Chinese take out restaurants around. Great chicken wings and eggrolls.

Very generous proportions and great prices! Better than Golden China in Graham in my opinion and much friendlier staff.

Hibachi House - Gave me wrong order.

I was hangry for some Chinese food and wanted something really good. I looked on Yelp and the…read moreoriginal place I wanted to try was close for the day. I then asked my boyfriend what he recommended and he said, Hibachi House. I looked on Yelp at this place and the ratings are no bueno, but my boyfriend insisted I try it for myself and I not base it reviews. I was extremely hesitant, but took his word for it. I order the dinner combo plate which came with rice if choice and 1 entree and egg roll. I ordered sweet and sour chicken with bbq pork fried rice. The staff was friendly and even help with suggestions. The restaurant itself is super clean, but when I went it was only 2 people dining in and 1 person picking up Togo. I get my food and the portion are okay, I don't think it was worth $12 for what I received. I get back to go eat it and the first thing I notice is there is absolutely no bbq pork in my fried rice. The other thing I noticed is my chicken definitely wasn't sweet and sour chicken. My boyfriend tried to make excuses and was like just try the food.. ugh! I try the chicken first and yep! It wasn't sweet and sour, but orange chicken. I will say, the chicken was tender juicy and very flavorful. Now to the fried rice... it was a complete disappointment. The rice for 1 was undercooked there were no bbq pork in it, it was just cooked in soy sauce with an unnecessary about of chopped onions on it, it was disgusting. I hate to give it 2 stars, but I should have went with my gut and went somewhere else. This place isn't it. Save your money and good elsewhere.

It's also worth mentioning the person who took my order has to ask someone else if anything was in the fried rice when I asked. This wasn't the typical hibachi I am used to and was much closer to regular Chinese food than hibachi as far as how it was prepared and its taste. I may go back to try a Chinese dish but certainly would not recommend the hibachi. This is ironic considering the name. The customer service wasn't out of this world, but no one was mean, rude or disrespectful.

I have been craving for a while and so today for lunch, thought I'd give in to the craving. Now, full disclosure, I got delivery today. I have a few meetings I can't miss so I relied on a delivery service. I don't think it had anything to do with the food quality though. I ordered general tso's combo plate with a veggie roll. Additionally I ordered veggie lomein for tomorrow, more on this in a bit. The dish looked like Generals chicken, but had a weird smell. I tried a piece of chicken and was put off by a chewiness one doesn't expect with chicken. I thought it was just that piece so I tried another. Nope, gross chewy texture. The sauce wasn't spicy at all, but sticky sweet. Also, the rice had a very weird flavor. Blech. So much for that craving. The egg roll was actually pretty good if somewhat soft. The flavor was pretty decent. This is where we come back to the lomein. A single egg roll and 2 pieces of chicken aren't really enough so I was very grateful I ordered an additional dish. Sadly, the lomein was seriously soupy. Just over flowing with soy sauce. Just ..gross. Well, it's not the best health wise so I'm glad for the result. I am now completely off Chinese food.

BEWARE OF THE RED PEPPER SYMBOL on the menu!!!! If you love spicy, indulge! If you are sensitive or…read morecan't handle spice, run faaaaar away from these items. Most places put a pepper symbol and it's not spicy at all, but this single red pepper symbol means business!!!!!! I'm sensitive to spice at the moment so eating my food was a bit of a marathon....but in a good way! Think runny nose & sweating hot with tons of delicious flavor. To start, we served wonton strips with a white yum yum type sauce which was a nice surprise. For our app we had the crab puffs (crab ragoons) which of course were not spicy, perfectly crispy and had the right amount of filling. I also ordered a dragon roll which came out after my main entree since the sushi bar was backed up. This actually worked out perfect because the cream cheese in the roll was a great way to calm the spice in my main entree. The mango and crab on the roll were very fresh, and the size was also pretty hefty for being an 8 piece roll. I could have easily made this into a lighter full meal. For my main entree I got the spicy basil with chicken (red pepper sign alert!!!), brown rice and miso soup. The miso soup was good as expected, the brown rice was cooked to perfection and served in a side bowl, and the main entree was plentiful with perfectly cooked veggies & chicken! This dish brought the heat but in a very good way!!! I couldn't get enough of that spicy basil flavor!!!! I only ate half the dish so looking forward to a delicious lunch today! Can't wait to come back and try more of their dishes but while I'm sensitive to spice at the moment I may avoid the pepper symbol for a bit!

I ordered the vegetable Lo Mein (without mushrooms & onions). I've had other dishes here, like the…read moreveggie curries, that were great. But this Lo Mein is the worst I've ever tasted unfortunately. The noodles were mushy and overcooked. The "sauce" basically tasted like oily vegetable broth. As you can see from the veggies in the picture, they are just oily without a char and without any flavors. The dish honestly just looks bland as you can see. I can't tell if this was cooked in a microwave or an actual wok because there's no caramelization of any flavors. Nearly $20 for this dish on top of that. A lot of locals prioritize this place over other smaller Asian options here in Mebane but I'm not certain if I'd return for anything based on this waste of money.
