Sheets is always a great option when traveling with multiple people. One stop, get gas, between the hot, cold, and shelf staple options there's something for everyone to eat. Soda, tea, smoothies, slushies, coffee. Ordering was confusing for me but I'm sure that's a me thing. We came through in the afternoon on a Monday. The dining area could have used a broom and mop. Restrooms were decent. I have to give a shoutout to the cashier who was so patient with me. I really do think they could use some signage to tell you where to go and what to do. Sheetz is generally a pretty good place to go for gas. If you are traveling this one is very close to on and off for interstate 40/85. Their food is ok and they have a good selection of drinks and snacks. Their customer service and cleanliness is why I rated it 3 stars. But if you are traveling its a good stop, they have tesla charging stations and if you use sheetz rewards card you get 3 cents off per gallon. read more

Our experience at this Sheetz was OK. This Sheetz is located in a busy area. It was crowded during our visit on a Sunday around 3:45pm. I got lucky and was able to pull up to a pump immediately. By that time, all 16 pumps were taken and there were cars lined up waiting for several of them. It felt like Costco. I had just stuck the nozzle in when a car pulled up behind me. I've never seen a Sheetz so busy (except for when they ran their $1.776 per gallon promotion on July 4, 2023). The gas prices were average. They beat the prices at the Shell I went to the day before in Chapel Hill. This Sheetz is located just off I-85 / I-40 exit 154: NC 119 - Mebane. This is the same exit for the Tanger Outlets and there are a bunch of big-box stores (e.g., Walmart) and fast food chains nearby. Could have been better. It was busy and had a long line for the cashier. Not super clean and the soda machine was not calibrated correctly.

I stopped in for lunch today. The place was reasonably clean, and the service was quick and courteous. The food was good for the price, but the raspberry lemonade I ordered tasted like concentrate. It was absurdly sweet and sour, to the point where I couldn't finish over half of it. Next time, I will get something in a bottle or can. read more

Place looks pretty new. Cheap gas--less than $2 a gallon. The iced tea, while freshly steeped, was weak and pale. I do judge a place by their iced tea. Unsweetened only please. After driving several hours, I decided to stop and run into this location just to grab something to drink and some candy. Staff were all in masks and those working with food were also wearing gloves. I wish they would've had hand sanitizer available. Would've been great to sanitize after touching the candy etc before leaving out the "store" but luckily I keep some in my car so not a huge deal. read more

When you pull into a place and you see the parking lot is full and the lines at the gas pumps are at least two waiting for each pump, you know somebody is doing something right. This is that place. Convenient, right off of I-85 in Mebane, easy to get in and out, but one does have to wait their turn. Even more interesting, this is the first place where I've seen that one can place their food order via touch screen while standing at the fuel pumps. read more

I m working on the road right now, traveling in a big RV. We stay at gas stations and rest stops over night and I m usually grateful if I wake up and open my eyes to a Sheetz. This one though... Maybe I caught a bad day? The bathrooms were filthy, paper spilled everywhere and the sinks nasty, one not draining. I ordered 3 coffee lattes and it took forever, both standing inline to order and receiving my order after. Sugar station also dirty. Then the credit card machine broke down and they started taking only cash, huge lines, chaos. I pumped gas for 90$ and had to go inside because the pump didn't give me a receipt, again I had to wait in line. When I told the guy on the register that I need a receipt or number 12 he asked me ' pump 12' well buddy what else 12 do you have to offer?? The best gas stations are Sheetz. This one is no exception. Great drink selection and snack selection, lots of gas pumps, reasonably clean bathrooms. You can order a sandwich or a blended coffee drink from a kiosk at the gas pump or inside- it's amazing! read more

I am in love with the concept of Sheetz. I love being able to get gas, a peanut butter doughnut, a Mountain Dew Slushie, and fried pickles, all in one location. I love that the staff is nice. And prices are reasonable. I love that gas here is always a few cents cheaper than nearby stations, especially with a Sheetz card. I Iove the occasional freebie, said card entitles me to. Not to mention the amazing free air pump outside that takes all the work out of keeping your tires properly inflated. No excuses ladies! BUT I hate stopping here. I hate waiting for a gas pump while the idiot ahead of me goes inside for a hotdog while leaving his car at the pump. I hate the non-flow of traffic. It doesn't flow. At all. Wanna total your car? Drive around a busy Sheetz parking lot for an hour. I hate having to turn left onto Mebane Oaks Road while leaving Sheetz...this location NEEDS a light. But, I love Sheetz. I love sheetz! I go once every two weeks to get gas. There is almost always a line but I just use the time to tidy up my car. I used to eat at Sheetz every time I got a chance to but it is really a wreck to the diet so I have laid off. I used to crave the food but I can't say I miss it anymore. They have a lot of stuff, pretty much everything you need for a successful pit stop on the road of life. My favorite is the bathrooms are usually really clean but every once in a while you hit a bad one. read more

Sheetz is the Southern version of Wawa and I love my WAWA. They have gas a myriad of items to select from when you are hungry. You can select fruit, sweets, or order a fresh made-to-order, hot or cold sandwich or pizza. The specialty coffees included Creme Brulee and it was yummy to my tummy! Sheetz is an excellent alternative to fast food and they are open 24/7. They also have a rewards card for frequent customers (unfortunately, the machine was down this evening). The Sheetz in Mebane is as good as it gets in this area! The only downside is that there's often a wait at the pump, because the gas prices are some of the cheapest around (compared to other gas stations along 85/40 in NC), and it's surprisingly nice inside. When I lived in the Northeast, you went to Sheetz for the hot dogs, and almost nothing else. As a convenience store/gas station it was a little bit below 7-11, and well below Wawa. Since the early 2000s, Sheetz has been expanding rapidly, moving out of its western PA/eastern OH/northern WV base as far south as North Carolina. And this is nothing like your father's Sheetz (or in my case, my younger-self's Sheetz). Fresh, MTO food; specialty coffees; more choices in the convenience aisle - and oh yes, they still have hot dogs, too, although they're not quite as I remember them. All of it is inexpensive, and while the coffee isn't quite at the level of a Caribou or Starbucks, it's far better than what passes for coffee at the corner carryout place. As fae as I am concerned, Sheetz and Wawa are now neck-and-neck. If you live anywhere near a Sheetz, you need to get the My Sheetz card - you get a 3-cent-per-gallon discount on what is usually the least expensive gas in the area. read more

Sheetz brings back many memories and it kills me that there isn't one closer to me. So any time I am making my way up towards VA or DC, I always stop at this one right before Durham. This one is very clean and efficient with making your MTO item. Bathrooms are clean and they have a grassy area where you can go to walk your pups....or see truckers peeing. Good times. read more

Sloppy. pump needed its filter changed. Thus the fuel look far slower than normal. that particular pump, should have had "lock out, tag out/out of order" protocol actions taken. The woman "Julie" knew it needed repair and did/said nothing till a customer (me) said something. the wind was up and it was cold out, true, that doesn't mean you don't mean you clam up so you can stay warm inside. On the upside, there are lots of food items here, it's really convenient to I-40, and there are a lot of gas pumps. On the downside, the lines are long, and the parking is problematic. Also non-employees are really oblivious to everything (employees seem great). That's not reflected in the stars on this review, but trying to get in and out is problematic when someone just kind of wanders into the parking spot you're trying to park in. read more

Sheetz is always one of the options to stop and get gas just off Interstate 40. This particular location is on the same exit as the Tanger Outlet Mall. There is a large shopping center, including Walmart, just across the street so this particular exit can get quite busy. Be aware of that during the Christmas holiday shopping season. read more

Oh, boy, this place is a mecca on my trips to the mountains and back. It's about thirty minutes away from where I live in Durham, so I always go as low on gas as possible so I can fill up on the always-cheap gas at Sheetz. They have a great snack and drink selection (I love that Voss water and they always have my fave soda: Cherry Coke Zero!) and their deli food is good, too. My husband swears by their coffee and chai tea. And how freakin' COOL is it that you can order dinner while you pump cheap gas? Yeah, Sheetz! read more

I stopped into a Sheetz last night on my way travels home from Charlotte and instantly I loved the place. The key to this place is the Sheetz card! They scan you drivers licence and then scan the card to associate it and you are earning points towards future purchases as well as instantly saving money. After you go online and register further information such as your email (and update your address if it wrong on your drivers licence) then you can swipe the card at the gas pump and save en extra 3 cents. So, it is a penny or two cheaper then the surrounding stations to begin with and then you save an extra 3. I will wait in the line an extra few minutes if that is what it takes. Also, you do not need to prepay if swipe your Sheetz card. It will authorize the pump and you pay after. Nice! Have the common courtesy to move your damn vehicle when you are done at the gas pump though. Seriously. How hard is that? Fill up, pull forward into a parking spot so the next guy can pull in and pump and then go inside. Inside they have a touch screen that you can order things at. You can get espresso, cappuccino, cafe Americano, Red Alert (aka Red Eye) Thai and some other specialty drinks. They also have food so if you don't want to grab a pre-made sub sitting in the cooler just hit the screen and order one up just the way you want it. Right now they are offering pizza for 4.99 and that is one hell of a deal. If I were hungry when I went in I would have jumped on the pizza offer. Anyway, this place had a nice selection in the store, competitive pricing, cheap gas and a rewards program via the card. If you travel a lot and Sheetz in your route then get the card and hit them up. Tip: If you are going for your first time then go in and get the card, log in to the site via you phone (if you have an iPhone or Droid) and register quick. It takes all of a minute. You will then get an email with a confirmation link. Click that link to confirm and it will add the 3 cent gas discount to your account. Now go to the pump, swipe your card and enjoy your first major perk of the card! read more

Sheetz annoys me as a gas station. There's always a TON of cars here because the gas is a whopping penny cheaper here than elsewhere, and then the people filling up actually leave their cars at the pump to go inside. And because there's multiple places to enter & leave the parking lot, you have to be very careful driving there or you might get hit! If you don't stop by to get gas in the morning (i.e. on your way to work), forget it; there are way too many cars here any other time of day. However, they have the best gas station food I have ever had, and since most people pop in & out for the food or drinks, hardly anyone uses the indoor seating area. It's a nice place to sit & chill out. ALSO, this station has the coolest free air pumps I have ever seen. Type in the PSI for your tires, and use the pump; the pump automatically shuts off when your tires are properly inflated. No more messing around with a separate tire gauge! Awesome. read more

We stop here about once a month as we travel. I've never felt compelled to write a review of a gas station, but I had to today. The bathroom sinks were disgusting!!!! They were moldy. I could tell it was a high traffic day, and I can excuse no paper towels, trash on the floor, and wet floor from dripping hands, but not cleaning sinks is gross. Overall, this place is ok for a gas station, but for a Sheetz, it is small and always has a long line that takes too long at the register because they consistently only have one cashier. I have grown up around Sheetz and now that I no longer get the chance to stop there as frequently, my visits now seem far more enjoyable as they're usually paired with other exciting events like trips to Charlotte or the airport. This location specifically nailed my order both visits and on the second has the NBA game on in the lounge area where I enjoyed some good playoff action.
