Best chilli dogs I've ever tasted in my life, easy 5 stars. Bonus for not selling out to Coca Cola and still serving Pepsi.

Thanks to fellow Yelper Chris K of Durham for pointing this place out to me. Stopped in today and…read moreenjoyed an excellent Southern style Chili Dog ($1.99), loaded with great tasting, meaty chili, a neon red weiner, and a soft, gooey bun - it don't get muchbetter than that if you love your dogs. Also chewed on a very, very good cafe type Cheeseburger (something under $4) - hand formed, very tasty beef, nice fresh bun, plenty of cheese, and a decent slice of tomato. There is a small grill in a room behind the counter of a convenience stor that sells Citgo gas. They offer a variety of usual sandwiches, including a sausage dog, Hursey's BBQ, a thick Bologna Sandwich ($2.99), some lite breakfast fare, and even Hursey's Brunswick Stew. Great service from friendly folks. I'll be back. It is just up the road from Dickey-Do's BBQ.

I decided to get the combo dog, which is cheese and chili and had onions added on. It's an NC style neon red dog that had a good chili on it with the meat in somewhat large chunks, but as you can see from the picture, it's a bit on the greasy side. Still good, though and the onions had a bite to them. For $1.99 it was good eats. Served old school in a tiny paper bag with just one napkin. If I'd known I'd have asked for more, but managed to keep it all together, even eating it in the car. They also have an old timey Coke machine where you pull the leaver towards you. Very well blended!

When I called to ask why my car had been towed, I was first told that I had parked in the lot for the adjacent apartment building. That was false, and the (I assume) owner later acknowledged that my vehicle had, in fact, been parked in the correct lot. Even more concerning, my property manager told me that this company is not supposed to service my building -- and that they have not had anyone towed from our property in years. In other words, my car was removed from a lot where I was authorized to park by a company that may not have even had the authority to tow there. When I asked why my car had been towed while the other residents' cars were left alone, I was told that my car may have been selected "at random." That is deeply troubling. A towing company should not be removing permitted vehicles from a residential lot, especially without being able to provide a valid explanation or clear authorization. After confirming that my car had been towed improperly, they returned it at no charge, which was the bare minimum. However, the person who returned the car -- the same person who initially towed it -- was extremely rude and refused to provide proper documentation that my vehicle had been towed. Based on this experience, I would strongly caution residents, property managers, and apartment complexes against using this predatory company. In my case, they towed a permitted vehicle from the correct lot, offered nonsensical explanations, apparently lacked authorization to tow from the property, and failed to provide documentation afterward.

I was then given an only sort of accurate address and told I couldn't get my car until the next morning even though they supposedly operate 24-hours. So I went to get my car the next day. I didn't have a great way to get there because I didn't have my car, so I took the bus as far as I could and then proceeded to make a 20-minute walk through wet grass fields (no sidewalk) in 30-degree weather. I finally got to a gas station where the address took me and they told me that the towing place doesn't have an office, but that my car was behind a gate out back and I'd have to call them. So I did. I called them and they told me they would have someone out there in 15 minutes. So I waited outside in the dark. They finally get there and charge me $300. This business is predatory, overcharges, and can't bother to act like a legitimate company.
